The Red Tidal Wave hitting Massachusetts is threatening to kill the ObamaCare Nightmare, turn a blue state red, and scare the heck out of any democrat thinking of voting in favor of ObamaCare!
Even if Republican Scott Brown loses the election next week, and that is far from certain as some polls have him ahead of the socialist-democrat candidate, he has already won at least one victory. He has shown the nation that the red tea party tidal wave can turn a blue state red. He has shown the nation what we have said for months at ConservativeAmerican.org: Tea Partiers are not all Conservative Americans. They’re just plain Americans. Some are democrats, some independents, some republicans, many Conservative Americans and a few libertarians.
Democrats up for election better worry big time! If republicans can come this close is the thought-to-be permanently blue state of Massachusetts, then every democrat in favor of the ObamaCare nightmare is in big trouble in this year’s election. Not one of them is safe. Every single one of them could be taken down at the voting booth. Pelosi and Reid insisted tea partiers were not “real,” that they were just insurance company astroturfers. Boy were they wrong!
Let me also say that the GOP also is vulnerable to misreading the tea partiers. The tea partiers are not loyal to one party. They are loyal to America. They don’t want socialism. Any republican that gets anywhere near Obamacare, cap and tax, or some of the other outrageous items President Obama is promoting, also will find they are in big, big trouble.
Republicans may actually win the seat that used to occupy Teddy Kennedy’s rear end for far, far too long. Unthinkable even a few weeks back. Message clear: Despite the election of the nation’s first socialist President, Americans do NOT WANT SOCIALISM!
Author Sarah Palin’s name is being dragged into the U.S. Senate Race for the seat formerly held by Teddy Kennedy.
The Boston Herald says “Desperate Dems” are taunting the campaign of Republican Scott Brown, asking him where Sarah Palin’s endorsement is? They suggest perhaps the Palin “pit bull has lost her bark!”
Brown has a chance to win next week’s election. If he does, his vote could end the Obama hopes of a socialist health care takeover. To prevent that horrible health bill from passing, ConservativeAmerican.org endorses the candidacy of Scott Brown. We hope he can end the ObamaCare Nightmare. Brown reportedly raked in more than $700,000 in fundraising in one day when it became clear he has a chance to win the seat. The election is next week.
What say you? Should Palin endorse Brown? We have also called on Sarah Palin to endorse Conservative American Bill Johnson in the U.S. Senate race in Kentucky.
UPDATE 11/23/9: Fox says more Catholic leaders are turning up the heat on Catholic legislators over abortion in the ObamaCare Nightmare. It’s about time.
News headlines today about Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin telling Congressman Patrick Kennedy he can’t receive Holy Communion until he changes his position supporting abortion.
It’s about time.
Roman Catholics are called to hate a sin, but love the sinner. As I head off to Mass this morning, I am reminded of a homily I heard on forgiveness once. It pointed out that the spiritual meaning of forgiveness is to ask God to forgive someone who has done something wrong, to express your own prayer for a person that they not be given damnation for what they have done. It doesn’t mean you have to kiss and make-up and have the person over for Thanksgiving Turkey. It means you work to let go of your own anger and hurt and you tell God you do not wish them any harm for their actions and ask Him to forgive them as well.
I’d be willing to bet Tobin prays for Kennedy every day. This isn’t done out of anger, hate, closed-minded thoughts, or a desire to kick people out of the Church. It certainly will be portrayed that way however.
Listen to what Fox News was told by an author, Michael Sean Winters, “It’s really bad theology,” said Winters, who opposes abortion. “You’re turning the altar rail into a battle field, a political battlefield no less, and it does a disservice to the Eucharist.”
So Winters is pro-life like us, but views the issue as a political one rather than a spiritual issue that is offensive to God? Other Churches are not criticized for standing up for their beliefs, at least not like Catholics are. What can possibly be wrong with a Church saying this is what we believe, and if you believe that too, then you are in full communion with us and are welcome to fully participate with us? I’ll answer that. Nothing is wrong with that. We may not like it and it may make us uncomfortable, but it is a completely fair and justified position. Jesus didn’t come down from Heaven to make us all comfortable and tell us all what a great job we were doing! The Church is not supposed to be afraid to tell the truth, even if it makes people uncomfortable.
To abandon one’s beliefs simply because an issue has have been pulled out of the pews and into a political debate, is not the good option. As Catholics we welcome people who disagree with us to come and worship with us. We hope we can convince them to agree with us. If not, they remain welcome.
Those who place themselves in politics as Catholics and public figures have a higher responsibility. For example, if a well liked Catholic political leader is pro-abortion, it can convey the incorrect message on behalf of the Church that it is okay to hold that belief and still be a Catholic in good standing, or in full communion with the Church. This puts Church leaders in an awkward position. Many loyal, pro-life Catholics view Church leaders as wimps for not standing up to the issue more often as Bishop Tobin has done. Then, when one does stand up for the pro-life Catholics who agree with Church teaching (as Tobin has done), they get blasted by the press as right wing extremists. President Obama’s administration calls Pro-Lifers “low level terrorists.” I’m no saint. I’m no terrorist either. We all make mistakes and sin. We don’t all, however, hold ourselves up as Catholics and Political leaders. Those who do asked for that responsibility.
Tobin is correct to do this. Even if it makes us all uncomfortable this Sunday.

Mark Sanford
As a follow up to our story, “Ted Kennedy & Mark Sanford,” it is worth noting that both Kennedy and Sanford were in the news yesterday.
Frist, there was the funeral of Ted Kennedy. President Obama used the funeral to let everyone know Kennedy was in favor of “health care,” a reference to the ObamaCare Nightmare. BTW, is there anyone who is not in favor of “health care?” Here’s some of what President Obama had to say…
He narrowly survived a plane crash, watched two children struggle with cancer, buried three nephews, and experienced personal failings and setbacks in the most public way possible…We can still hear his voice bellowing through the Senate chamber, face reddened, fist pounding the podium, a veritable force of nature, in support of health care…Ted Kennedy became the greatest legislator of our time…The greatest expectations were placed upon Ted Kennedy’s shoulders because of who he was, but he surpassed them all because of who he became…
There was only a very vague mention (”experienced personal failings…in the most public way”) of the car crash he was in which claimed the life of his girlfriend (he was married to another at the time), Mary Jo Kopechne. Despite the fact he left her to die in only seven feet of water and didn’t even call anyone about the incident for 10 hours, the President said of expectations of Ted, “he surpassed them all.”

Kennedy Joked About Death of his girlfirend, Mary Jo Kopechne
Hey, did you hear the joke about Ted Kennedy dying and the health care bill? Yeah, the democrats are calling it “Win one for the dipper!” … Get it? He took a dip at Chappaquidick? Win one for the Dipper! …
Yes, we know. It is not funny. That’s the point. Joking about Ted’s death (would they like it if we said something like, ‘how could he have died from brain cancer when he didn’t have a brain?’) would be just as bad as, oh, I dunno,…like Kennedy joking about the woman he killed…
Mark Hemingway is aghast: “EXCUSE ME? If that’s true it makes Kennedy kind of a monster. The odd thing is that if you listen to the whole show, the tone of everyone involved is nauseatingly haigographic and reverential. Klein apparently let his guard down a bit; after he lets it slip Kennedy liked to joke about the woman he killed you can actually hear in his voice that he’s trying to backpedal. The show actually cuts to a break as he’s trying to explain himself, and I seriously wonder if it wasn’t the producers trying to do Klein a favor. But I’m sorry, there appears to be little to that could explain this. It goes way beyond “you had to be there.”
