Presumed 2012 Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin had conservatives laughing with some pretty amusing lines during the 2008 campaign. She’s a good sport too, having appeared on Saturday Night Live despite endless Tina Fey portrayals. However, she knows when humor goes too far (David Letterman, Family Guy) however, and that upsets at least one Hollywierd actress/
The Washington Post reports Andrea (Tina) Fay Friedman (herself, a person with Down’s Syndrome) thinks Palin should lighten up over the Family Guy stuff.
Meanwhile Seth MacFarlane (yeah, I never heard of him either) tells that pillar of moral values and superior intellect Bill Maher, that he “saved my Sarah Palin virginity for you…” Ha. That’s so funny. NOT.
Speaking of Tina Fey, she’s apparently reconsidered (money talks) her decision not to play Sarah Palin anymore. The Miami Herald reports she’s willing to help out the Obama 2012 campaign by renewing her portrayal of Governor Palin.
There is some fairness out there, even though it is critical of Sarah Palin. Dorothy Rabinowitz writes at the Wall Street Journal about Palin’s odd endorsement of “radical libertarian” Rand Paul. Maybe that was a joke too?
It seems an odd endorsement to us as well. Rabinowitz notes that Rand Paul’s “views are clear: He stands opposed to the Patriot Act and he wants to cut defense spending.” — Not exactly the “Sarah-Palin-type” candidate. It would be tough for any Conservative to explain their support for Rand Paul or either of these foolish positions. Like ConservativeAmerican.org though, Rabinowitz is fair to Sarah Palin and, I think, honest in her report. For example, she agrees with us about Charles Hubris Gibson’s childish and unfounded attack on Sarah Palin. At the time Gibson insisted Palin was not qualified to be VP, he ignored the fact she had more qualifications than Bill Clinton did when he ran or Howard Dean did when he ran. Gibson was not critical of either of them. Rabinowitz writes, “And after a daunting encounter with ABC’s Charles Gibson—a civilized presence and one of the most genial of men ever to occupy a news anchor’s chair—now turned into an oaf unable to conceal disdain as he questioned his guest on her capacities for office…” Oaf is putting it nicely.
As for Rand Paul, joke or not, ConservativeAmerican.org cannot support this endorsement. We have endorsed, and continue to support the candidacy of Conservative American Bill Johnson for the Kentucky Senate Seat. He’s the true Reagan conservative in the race, the real outsider, and the choice of Tea Partiers. Learn more about him here…
Conservative American Bill Johnson
I encourage you to do what you can to support Johnson in this important Senate race.
Presumed 2012 Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin posted this message on her Facebook this afternoon responding to a “Fox Family Guy” show (Palin refers to it as “Fox Hollywood”)….
People are asking me to comment on yesterday’s Fox show that felt like another kick in the gut. Bristol was one who asked what I thought of the show that mocked her baby brother, Trig (and/or others with special needs), in an episode yesterday. Instead of answering, I asked her what she thought. Here is her conscientious reply, which is a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question, “when is enough, enough?”: (below)
“When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent. People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. Their lives are difficult enough as it is, so why would anyone want to make their lives more difficult by mocking them? As a culture, shouldn’t we be more compassionate to innocent people – especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn’t we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks. – Bristol Palin”
Okay, that was just wierd. Senator Elect Brown announced to the nation during his acceptance speech that his American Idol contestant daughter is available for dating. No doubt he will be in hot water later tonight for that stunt.
Suddenly, Scott Brown is more famous than his daughter. That will be an odd thing at home too.
Senator Brown's American Idol Daughter, Ayla
You might remember Ayla from the show. She was the pretty, tall one that made Ryan Seacrest look so short.
Ayla Brown has done well for herself since American Idol. She even toured with a blues band…
Former VP Candidate Sarah Palin continues to be a threat to the liberal democrats in Hollywood. As they work for Obama 2012, they continue to portray her as if she is the Tina Fey SNL character. So, it’s no surprise Fey got an Emmy for playing Sarah Palin.
LA Times Featured this Pic of Fey
Wonder what would happen if the conservatives made up awards and gave them out to conservatives around the country? Do you suppose the media would even be interested?
The liberals running the press and Hollywood are into giving honors to those who lie about, and try to destroy Alaska Governor Sarah Palin! First they gave awards (with Walter Cronkite’s name on them) to the socialist-democrat Katie Couric for her demolition work on the Alaska Governor. Now it seems Tina Fey also will be honored for her efforts to ruin our country by helping to elect the first socialist President, Barack Hugo Obama.
Liberal safe-haven, Boston.com, reports it this way…
Tina Fey’s dead-on impersonation of Sarah Palin won her legions of new fans and brought buzz back to “Saturday Night Live.” Now, it could win Fey an Emmy. Thursday, Fey was nominated for “Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series” for her appearances as the Alaska governor during last year’s presidential campaign. (Fey’s main gig on “30 Rock” earned a record 22 nominations.) Fey’s turns as Palin not only provided loads of laughs, especially for political junkies. They also helped fix in the minds of voters the image of Palin as “Caribou Barbie,” — personable but not quite ready to be one heartbeat from the presidency. While Palin initially prompted a burst of enthusiasm for Republican nominee John McCain, polls showed that she ended up being a drag on the ticket. Still, Palin was a good sport, making a couple of cameo appearances on “SNL.”
It was McCain, not Palin who was the drag on the ticket. Tina Fey got most Americans believing that Palin actually said, “I can see Russia from my house.” She said no such thing. Still, Fey will be honored for using Palin to make tons of money and helping Obama 2008.
Don’t get me wrong, Fey was funny. Life is short, you have to laugh now and then. To that end…
The Half Black Obama stars in Gay Champion! Coming soon.
From Fox: “I will not only be your friend, I will continue to be an ally and a champion and a president who fights with you and for you.” – Since Obama took office in January, some activists have complained that Obama has not followed through on his campaign promises on issues they hold dear and has not championed their causes from the White House, including ending the ban on gays in the military.
Obama pleaded for patience. “I know many in this room don’t believe that progress has come fast enough. And I understand that,” Obama said. But he added: “I expect and hope to be judged not by words, not by promises I’ve made, but by promises that my administration keeps.” By the time he leaves office, the president said, “I think you guys will have pretty good feelings about the Obama administration.”
I don’t think all “guys” will have pretty good feelings about your administration, Mr. President, sir.
