It’s been almost a year since we told you about a controversial Catholic-bashing appointment President Barack Obama had made. His name is Harry Knox. He’s openly gay, hopelessly liberal and full of hate for Roman Catholics and the Pope. He also apparently passed all the vetting process to be named to… wait for it… the President’s Committee on Faith!!!
Conservative American congressman Mike Pence is joining us in calling for Obama to rid himself of this little wart.
“Obama’s Latest Attack on Catholics (& Appointment Scandal #43) Harry Knox – 4/9/9 Catholics are already ticked off Obama has forced them to pay taxes to fund abortions in other countries & that he plans to speak at Catholic Notre Dame. Now, Obama spits on Catholics & appoints a Pope-Hating, Gay, Liberal to a committee on…faith! Knox, a director at the Rights for Gay Humans Campaign in D.C., blasted bishops for pushing to make same-sex marriage unconstitutional (Prop. 8 in CA), called the Knights of Columbus “foot soldiers of a discredited army of oppression,” and said bishops and Pope Benedict are “discredited leaders.” Fox Reports Catholic League President William Donahue knows Knox is not simply a critic; “He’s insulting. He used disdainful, disparaging terms to talk about the pope and the Catholic hierarchy. If someone were appointed using that language about homosexuals, he would be thrown out.” Amen to that. Amen.”
Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) says that it is “long overdue” for President Barack Obama to fire Harry Knox from the White House Advisory Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships because of the “vehement anti-Catholic statements” Knox has made. “Harry Knox’s repeated, intolerant statements about the Catholic Church and Catholic teachings make it totally inappropriate for him to serve on President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships,” Pence told CNSNews.com in an interview Friday. “Harry Knox’s termination from the president’s Faith-Based Advisory Council is long-over due. And we would renew our call for Harry Knox to be removed from that position by the president.”
Pence says its absurd for a person who has made such hateful comments about a specific religion to remain an adviser to the President on matters of Faith. Yes, it is. Unless, of course, the President agrees with him.
When CNSNews.com asked Knox on Feb. 2 whether he still stands by an assertion he made in March 2009 that Pope Benedict XVI was “hurting people in the name of Jesus” because he does not condoning condom distribution as the solution to AIDS in Africa, Knox said: “I do.”

The Official Obama Administration Scandals list is 24 pages long. It contains documented information (dates, times, sources and links) to more than one thousand different items. That’s a “Scandal Free” Start??!!”
Now, we call it the “Scandals” list only to give it a name. It contains not only scandals, but also lies, broken promises, flip-flops and gaffes from the Obama Administration. It’s hard to keep up! This is what columnist Walter Shapiro calls a “Scandal Free White House!” He even wonders aloud at Politics Daily, “Is Obama Very Ethical or Very Lucky?”
What Planet is Shapiro living on? Surely he must be kidding, right? Nope. His justification for the conclusion?

“he is not brooding during secret cigarette breaks about special prosecutors, congressional investigators or relentless investigative reporters. In contrast to Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and maybe even George H.W. Bush, Obama so far has presided over an administration almost entirely free from major public scandal.”
Talk about missing the point. No special prosecutors or investigators? Fine. Gee, that couldn’t have anything to do with the progressive democrats controlling both the house and the senate, could it? No relentless investigative reporters? The reporters, as Shapiro knows well, tend only to investigate Republican administrations. It can’t be a scandal if it involves someone they agree with (work for?) like Obama.
Mr. Shaprio, sir, how about the biggest scandal in our nation’s history? This man is trying to change the very fabric of this nation from the touch, the feel of cotton to some type of burlap socialist weave! Don’t like that one?
How about his continued support of the hoax of man-made global warming? He may not have a sex scandal or an employee breaking the law (there is some question already that Jim Messina may have done just that if he offered a politician a job in exchange for not running against an Obama-loved candidate), but these items are small in comparison to destroying the greatest nation on earth.
Shapiro calls Van Jones no big deal. Oh, and that thing with Tom Daschle…no problem there. That’s just Glenn Beck stuff. The lies? The hypocrisy? Flip-flops and broken promises? Nah, that’s nothing.
Give us a break! There are so many scandals we filled a 400+ page book after just one year!
People like Shapiro, with their heads in the sand, will only empower the progressive-Socialists to continue their aggressive power grabs despite the loud disagreement of most Americans. It’s ridiculous for Shapiro to consider this a Scandal-Free administration.

Obama Appointment Scandal # 145 – Thomas Karl 2/28/2010 From the Beaufort Observer: “It looks like the Obama Administration is headed for another train wreck. President Obama has appointed Thomas Karl as head of the newly formed National Climatic Data Center. The stated purpose of the Center is to assemble data that helps honestly determine whether there is actually global warming and what the cause is if indeed any warming is found. The appointment comes as the wheels have come off the leading international “climate change” research institutions and people. Now it turns out that Karl has been linked to that same scandal. At a time when credibility is the biggest issue around the climate debate it would seem that even a middle school student of physical geography would realize that the necessity is to restore the credibility of the “science” of global warming, or cooling, whichever the case might be. Bill Ritter as the “terrific governor of California.” For the record, Ritter is governor of Colorado. Obama’s gaffe at a fundraiser for Sen. Michael Bennet caused laughter as Obama quickly caught his mistake Thursday. “Colorado, sorry,” he said according to a White House transcript of his speech released Friday. “Listen, East Coast time, it’s past my dinner,” he added.

Obama Flip Flops on Executive Pay (AGAIN) – Actually Creates One Job! 2/28/2010 From the Associated Press comes word that Barack Obama has approved huge executive compensation packages for the Government Motors CEO and even the former GM CEO! “General Motors Co. CEO Ed Whitacre will receive a salary of $1.7 million this year, plus stock awards that will bring his total pay package to $9 million at a later date… In a surprise announcement, GM also said former CEO Fritz Henderson has been rehired as a consultant. Henderson, who was forced out of the job in December, will work 20 hours a month and will be paid $59,090 a month, the company said.” — ConservativeAmerican.org’s calculator points out that’s $2,954.50 an hour Obama has agreed to pay Fritz Henderson. How’s that Hopey Changey stuff working now?! Obama actually created a job here!

Most we already have on our list. Here’s a few to add: “…Depends on what the definition of a small business is. The President’s proposal defines this as any business with less than 50 employees. Any business with 51 or more employees which does not provide insurance will be required to pay a fee of $2,000 per worker if any of their employees receive subsidized coverage in the government insurance exchange (although the President’s proposal does except the first 20 employees from this calculation). In addition, any small business owner who earns more than $200,000 per year will be required to pay an additional .9% in payroll taxes for Medicare, and a brand new 2.9% tax on unearned income (interest, dividends, etc.).

I suppose it’s true insomuch as no one else has ever had the gall to spin the creation of a $2+ trillion entitlement program as a “tax cut”. Personally I think the fact that the President proposes to provide tax-payer funded subsidies to families earning up to $88,000 the most fiscally irresponsible aspect of the entire plan. Coming a close second is the fact that over half of the cost of these “tax cuts” will be funded from reductions in Medicare spending, when Medicare itself faces insolvency within the next 10 years. If the White House wants to tout these subsidies – funded largely at the expense of seniors – as a “tax cut”…then I say go for it. Uganda Says Obama is Breaking a Promise to That Nation 3/1/2010 AFP reports a freeze on HIV spending has Africa concerned. “A US decision to freeze spending on treatment for HIV in several African countries has prompted concern that some of the gains made against the AIDS epidemic since 2003 could be reversed. President George W. Bush’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), launched in 2003, focused largely on treating patients in urgent need of medicine, but the new US administration’s programme has shifted away from emergency treatment. “George W. Bush is a hero in this country,” said Peter Mugyenyi, who heads Uganda’s Joint Clinical Research Centre, a leading AIDS treatment clinic… While PEPFAR expanded access to medicine, new HIV infections rose. So, when PEPFAR was up for renewal the new administration of President Barack Obama demanded greater focus on preventing new infections… Mugyenyi accuses the United States of breaking its promise to Uganda. “They have changed their programme very regrettably,” he said. “The number one thing is availability of treatment. Any other programme, whatever name they call it, will fail.”

Congressmen Say Obama Is Breaking Promise to Fix Fannie Mae, Tammy Faye & Freddie Mac 3/1/2010 From The Hill: “Republican Reps. Darrell Issa (Calif.) and Jim Jordan (Ohio) said it is “unacceptable” that the administration has not detailed how the companies (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) should be restructured… Issa and Jordan said the administration’s lack of a plan is a “broken promise” and the two members are calling for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to hold hearings into the firms. “It appears that the administration is using Fannie and Freddie as a backdoor conduit for appropriating billions of dollars of taxpayer money without the consent of Congress,” the members write in a letter dated March 1. “If that is true, the American people have a right to learn about it in a transparent public forum where those responsible for the policy can be held accountable.”
Obama Eliminates or Deletes 23,000 Jobs with Broken Space Promises 3/1/2010 Red State has this one, “…23,000 workers at and around Kennedy Space Center will lose their jobs because of the shuttles’ retirement and the new proposal to cancel the development of new rockets and spacecraft. That sum includes 9,000 “direct” space jobs and — conservatively speaking — 14,000 “indirect” jobs at hotels, restaurants, retail stores and others that depend on activity at the space center, said Lisa Rice, Brevard Workforce president… PS: You know, if we absolutely had to elect a Democrat President, it’s a darn shame that we didn’t at least elect the one who said… “We cannot cede our leadership in space. Obama Appointment Scandal # 147 – Goodwin Liu 3/4/2010 Shannon Bream at Fox News reports: “critics describe him as “brilliant,” but President Obama’s newly minted judicial nominee — law professor Goodwin Liu — will not have an easy time getting to the 9th Circuit bench… Liu has also aligned himself with progressive legal groups, including the American Constitution Society, where he is chairman of the board of directors. That’s prompting opponents to argue that Liu is “too far outside the mainstream” to take a seat on a court just one step below the Supreme Court of the United States. “He believes the Constitution is something judges can manipulate to have it say what they think culture or evolving standards of decency requires of it in a given day,” said the Senate Judiciary Committee’s top Republican Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. Liu opponents point to a number of his writings, including a book he co-authored in 2009 called “Keeping Faith with the Constitution,” in which the authors opine about their concept of judicial interpretation. “Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change … as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation.” That theme — that the Constitution’s text and principles must be adapted to changes in the world — repeats throughout the book and raises eyebrows among conservatives.”
Obama Administration Delays Offshore Drilling it Pretends to Support 3/5/2010 – Another case of words, just words. Steve Everly at Fox News: “Another day, another delay. The Department of Interior is on a bureaucratic quest to ignore the public and stop any development of American energy. The latest example is Interior Secretary Ken Salazar’s announcement this week that the next offshore drilling program will not begin until 2012. The decision, made without voter approval and against the wishes of a clear majority of Americans, upends the existing lease plan that was set to begin this year, a plan that was crafted directly in response to public outcry in 2008 over record high gas prices. Ironically, it was that very energy crisis that forced then-candidate Barack Obama’s hand in August 2008 when, as he campaigned tirelessly for the presidency, he declared support for offshore drilling.
Team Obama To Flip-Flop on its Flip-Flop, Flip-Flop (following that?) on Terrorists on Trial in the U.S. 3/5/2010 – The Obama administration sent out signals this week that it soon will overrule itself and change back to Bush Administration policy of trying terrorists in military tribunals instead of civilian court. Eric Holder got to take the bullet on this one for the President. Obama has claimed he was not in the loop when Holder’s decision to try them in New York courtrooms was announced, an obvious fabrication. The Washington Post says Obama will cave to pressure and flip-flop back to having the trials in military courts. Rush Limbaugh today said it might be part of a plan to get Lindsey Graham to support the closing of Club Gitmo. The bottom line is the public wins if the trials are conducted by the military and the progressive Socialists, who appear unconcerned about the War on Terror, lose.

Everything, that is, except a ban on federal funding for abortion. Last September, the president promised that “no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place.” Yet the legislation most likely to move forward in Congress would be the single greatest expansion of abortion since the 1973 Roe v. Obama Perversion of the Law to Block use of Resources in Nine Western States! 3/5/2010 From Ed Morrissey at Hot Air: “Jim DeMint took to the Senate floor and the pages of the Washington Times earlier this week to expose a plan by the White House to seize over 10 million acres of land in nine Western states. Using an obscure clause in the Antiquities Act of 1906, the Department of the Interior under Ken Salazar would designate the land as “monuments” in order to block the use of the resources in those states. Obama Insults Great Britain – Damages Special Relationship! 3/7/2010 If Nile Gardiner is any indication, the Brits are bloody well mad at Barack Hugo Obama. His recent piece in the U.K. Telegraph lists Obama’s Top 10 Insults Against Britain! Number one on his list? The silly statement that the Obama Administration will keep the U.S. “neutral” in the dispute between Britain and Argentina over the Falkland Islands: “For sheer offensiveness it’s hard to beat last week’s incredible statement from the State Department on the Falklands dispute, not least considering the fact that 255 British soldiers died retaking the islands from Argentina in 1982. As everyone in America knows, Democrats controlled everything for an entire year and still have huge majorities in both the House and Senate. The Republicans have not had the power to stand in the way of anything. The truth, obviously, is that Democrats haven’t been able to agree with each other to get anything done. Rush Limbaugh today said Dems in the House are worried about voting for the Senate Health Care Bill. He says they don’t trust the dems in the Senate or the White House and they worry that no “fix” bills (designed to ‘fix’ problems House members have with the Senate bill as it is now) will ever actually happen! The problem, as you know Mr. President, is not a Republican one!
Obama’s Weatherization Stimulus Called “A Lie!” 3/8/2010 Rich Lowry writes at Real Clear Politics about the Obama magical weatherization plan “If you allocate money to weatherize homes,” Obama effused to an audience in Elkhart, Ind., “the homeowner gets the benefit of lower energy bills. You right away put people back to work, many of whom in the construction industry and in the housing industry are out of work right now.” And it’s a step to “a new energy future.” …Obama poured $5 billion into weatherization as part of last year’s stimulus and wanted to spend billions more… According to a Department of Energy inspector general report last month, “only 2 of the 10 highest funded recipients completed more than 2 percent of planned units.” New York had completed 280 out of 45,400 planned units as of December, Texas had completed 0 of 33,908, and California 12 out of 43,400. That’s 292 homes in three states with a total population of roughly 80 million. So much for the 87,000 jobs the administration promised “right away.”
Obama’s Savings Gaffe – Or Was He Stretching the Truth? 3/8/2010 Fox News: “President Obama, making his final push for health care reform, pitched his proposal Monday to a crowd in Pennsylvania with a deficit-reduction figure that the White House later admitted missed the mark. “Our cost-cutting measures mirror most of the proposals in the current Senate bill, which reduces most people’s premiums and brings down our deficit by up to $1 trillion dollars over the next decade because we’re spending our health care dollars more wisely,” Obama told an audience at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pa., a suburb north of Philadelphia. Obama was so proud of these cost-saving numbers in the latest version of health care reform, he delved into a bit of Washington-speak to back them up. “Those aren’t my numbers,” Obama said to the rising applause of the estimated 1,300 in attendance. “They are the savings determined by the Congressional Budget Office, which is the nonpartisan, independent referee of Congress for what things cost.” But the budget office did not say the Senate health care bill would save $1 trillion over the next decade — or even close to that figure. It estimated the bill would save $132 billion from 2010 to 2019, leaving Obama’s “next decade” estimate $868 billion short. When contacted about this disparity, a White House official said Obama meant to say the Senate bill would save $1 trillion in its second decade — a projection that would more closely match congressional analysts’ estimates.” -Rush Limbaugh pointed out the crowds for today’s events were hand-picked supporters, not a sampling of the public which is overwhelmingly against the ObamaCare Nightmare! This is kind of a scandal. He promised us, Obama promised the American people, shovel ready jobs. Guess what, that money that was transferred to states, as part of the stimulus package, was suppose to go into these shovel ready jobs and it never happened. What they did was they hoarded the cash; they kept the paper pushers in Albany and California working and construction workers are out of work.”

U.S. District Court Judge Robert Chatigny gained notoriety in 2005 for his role in trying to fight the execution of convicted serial killer and rapist Michael Ross, also known as The Roadside Strangler, whom Chatigny had described as a victim of his own “sexual sadism.” His conduct in that case, which included threatening to go after Ross’ attorney’s law license, as well as his ruling in 2001 against sex offender registries created under Megan’s Law, has caused a commotion among Republicans on the judiciary panel. “I’ve never seen conduct like this,” said a Republican source. “I’m shocked that the White House vetted this guy … and still put him up for a judgeship.” The nomination is relatively fresh. That would sure help her out.”

Jeffrey Lord at the American Spectator reports on the “Jobsgate” timeline. “Now, the heat begins to rise as Arlen Specter steps into the middle of all this on Friday. It should be recalled here that Specter is not just Sestak’s opponent. He is a former Philadelphia district attorney and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Asked last week about Sestak’s charge by Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC, Specter replies: “That’s a very, very serious charge. It’s a big black smear without the specifications. Obama Caught in Another Lie: ObamaCare Nightmare will Increase Your Costs! 3/17/2010 Capitol Hill Blue reports, “There’s no question premiums are still going to keep going up,” said Larry Levitt of the Kaiser Family Foundation, a research clearinghouse on the health care system. “There are pieces of reform that will hopefully keep them from going up as fast. But it would be miraculous if premiums actually went down relative to where they are today.” The statistics Obama based his claims on come from two sources. In both cases, the caveats got left out. A report for the Business Roundtable, an association of big company CEOs, was the source for the claim that employers could save $3,000 per worker on health care costs, the White House said. Issued in November, the report looked generally at proposals that Democrats were considering to curb health care costs, concluding they had the potential to significantly reduce future increases. But the analysis didn’t consider specific legislation, much less the final language being tweaked this week.”
Holder Failed to Give Senate the Whole Truth! 3/17/2010 From Reuters News: “Attorney General Eric Holder failed to tell the Senate about seven legal briefs he signed when lawmakers considered his nomination to his current job, according to a letter released on Friday. Two of the briefs involved appeals to the Supreme Court for Jose Padilla, who sought release from a military prison in South Carolina where he was being held after then-President George W. Bush designated him an “enemy combatant.”

I’m still going to ask why it was such a huge story when George W. Bush hit “500″ military deaths, and “1,000″ military deaths and on and on? Couric-BS News used to run nightly stories of deaths. The New York Times had huge coverage when the “Bush Death Count” hit 500.
True to the hypocrisy you can count on from the left, the deaths of these brave men and women are just not important now that Bush is out. The point of the news was never the deaths. It was never meant to tell you about the brave men and women fighting for this great nation. It was all designed to create Viet-Nam-like images in your mind so that Bush could be defeated. Is that too harsh? I don’t think so!
ConservativeAmerican.org has always thought these death counts were foolish. That’s the reason we created the admittedly absurd Obama Death Count; to point out the absurdity of the Bush Death Counts and the blazing hypocrisy of the left. We were right and it continues to be proven day after day.
So, now one website says we have hit 1,000 casualties in the Afghan war (which the Department of Defense disputes) and it is getting some news coverage. That’s because at least SOME of those deaths (some argue all of them) are “Bush’s Fault!” Even Fox News has a story on this magical 1,000 number… without a single mention of the fact the number of soldiers to die under President Obama’s command has topped 500. It’s too late for them to even cover a story that Obama’s count “hit” 500.
ConservativeAmerican.org is the only one even bothering to report on this. The fact Fox, CBS, ABC, NBC and others ignore this story only proves our entire point. The wars were bad when Bush was President. The deaths were awful and the count kept growing and growing when Bush was President. Now that the ONE is President, the war is not such a big deal. The deaths just don’t seem to matter as much.
The President who promised to end the wars and bring all of our troops home now has more than 515 soldier deaths under his command. You can see the entire list here. This is the list Conservative American Mark Levin spoke of on his radio show.
The obvious truth is that every death matters. Each life lost is a terrible loss. We are a nation grateful to the military for its willingness to battle for our freedom.
If the Bush Death Counts were “cool,” (of course they were NOT COOL to us, but to the media and the left they were), then we fairly ask where are the Obama Death Counts? Hmmmm?
We know the answer. They don’t exist (except for the one we keep just to point out the hypocrisy of the left). This is blazing hypocrisy on the part of liberals, progressives, democrats, so-called journalists at major news organizations, and faux anti-war protesters.
Okay all you hot shot news reporters at the big networks…WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?

Obama Air Raiding Villages & Killing Civilians!
Critical of President George W. Bush, then Senator Barack Obama said the U.S. is “just air-raiding villages and killing civilians.” He promised to be all Hopey Changey. He promised something different. Yet Obama has continued to air raid villages and kill civilians. In fact, General Stanley McChrystal is taking to the Afghan television to continue Obama’s apology tour and say he is sorry for recent civilian deaths.
Fox News reports, “In the video, translated into the Afghan languages of Dari and Pashto on a NATO Web site, a stern Gen. Stanley McChrystal apologizes for the strike in central Uruzgan province that Afghan officials say killed at least 21 people. The video was broadcast nationally on Afghan television Tuesday.”

Sounds like air raiding to us. 5 bad guys were killed in that earlier attack. The five were members of the al-Qaida-linked Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. The other 15 people killed in the strike were Pakistani Taliban, the officials told Fox. Wonder if any of those 15 were the “moderate Taliban” obama wants to dine with?
“Paul Ibrahim reports: “KABUL (AFP) — A US and Afghan investigation confirmed Saturday that “a number of civilians” were killed in clashes with Taliban this week although President Hamid Karzai charged that up to 130 (civilians) died in US air strikes…the joint investigation team said it was unable to give firmer figures because all the dead had been buried, some in mass graves. The statement also did not make clear if the dead were killed in air strikes or ground fighting.”
Translation: Bush Air Raids and Civilian deaths=Bad. Obama Air Raids and Civilian deaths=okay. Democrats=Kool-aid drinkers!
