Fox & WSJ Follow our Lead: Deficit Commission Hoax

Conservative American News & Views.

Leading the way Right, we reported on February 18th that the faux Obama “bi-partisan” Deficit Commission is a joke. The commission’s findings (supposedly after months of study) are already known and the group’s only real purpose is to give Obama someone else to blame for the huge tax increases coming your way!

News is out today that the Obamanator has named his ACORN Board Member pal, SEIU President Andy Stern-O to serve on the deficit commission. He’ll supposedly help the group reach its foregone conclusion! Soooooo, ACORN is on the President’s Deficit Commission!!!

Now, the Fox Business network and the Wall Street Journal agree with us about the outcome.

John Fund from the Wall Street Journal was a guest on Fox over the weekend and Stuart Varney from Fox Business joined the Fox & Friends show today. Both men agree with us that the commission is a smoke-screen. Varney finds it a bit humorous that the deadline for the commission is December 1st… conveniently right AFTER the November elections! Wouldn’t want to have to answer questions before the election about why you’ll be passing huge new tax increases!

We were right in our “Problems with Obama Deficit Commission” post on February 18th…

“Among the commission’s biggest problems; we already know their conclusion, and they are wrong on both counts!

The commission gives Obama cover to do absolutely nothing about the deficit while he awaits the secret findings of the blue ribbon beer summit commission. He already knows the two points they will make…

1. Reduce spending, and
2. Increase taxes.

As for reducing spending, on the surface Conservative Americans agree with this half of the findings. However, the reductions suggested will be meaningless in comparison to the size of the federal budget and the Obama-sizing Deficit. They’ll suggest eliminating this republican idea or that one, and they forge ahead with phony “cuts” that merely reduce the size of scheduled increases (but still allow agencies to increase spending each year…thus, there is NO REAL cut at all).

How about sizeable cuts to failed liberal programs? How about eliminating entire departments and agencies? The world would not end without a federal department of education. Each state already has its own. It may be something they want in Washington, but it is not needed nor is it affordable. Get the government out of the car business. Get the government out of the mortgage business by eliminating any funding, backing or subsidies for Fannie Mae, Tammy Faye, or Freddie Mac. Get the government out of the mail and package delivery business. Keep funding strong for our national defense while getting rid of the national endowment for the arts and other programs that give grants out to non-essential things. You could go on and on. The government has been Obama-sized and it will take time to undo this man’s mess.

As for the commission’s second finding, that we increase everyone’s taxes, it is factually and historically wrong. Democrat John F. Kennedy and Republicans Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush cut taxes and saw an increase in federal revenue. That’s because the reduction in the tax burden allows for economic growth. More people with jobs. More people paying taxes. Enough more paying taxes at a lower rate that MORE money comes in to Uncle Sam, not less. Raising taxes will crush the economy and that seems to be the Obama by-design plan anyway.

This makes the entire Obama Deficit Commission an utterly stupid waste of time and nothing more than a political gimmick designed to create a 15-second sound bite that shows Americans Obama is (*gag*) doing something about the deficit. Nevermind the fact, he Obama-sized the deficit! The Associated Press reported Obama has quadrupled the deficit! Despite his constant lies that he inherited a deficit of $1.3-Trillion (which the media just accepts and repeats through its repeating stations), the defecit was never even $1-Trillion until after Barack Obama became president.

It’s more deliberate deception from President Obama.”

“If they are not going to rule out a tax increase and not deal with discretionary spending, and wait until after the election to give their report, what’s the point?” Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., the number three ranking Republican in the House told Newsmax.

Palin Needed in Kentucky Senate Race

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

By Peter Andrew

We need Conservative American Sarah Palin to get involved in the U.S. Senate Race in Kentucky. Conservative American Bill Johnson is seeking the GOP nomination and needs a boost. He needs the kind of boost former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin can bring.

Right now the only publicity Johnson is getting is from his own, grass-roots level hard work. Two other names seeking the GOP nomination for the senate seat in Kentucky are getting most of the attention. They are Rand Paul (son of former Presidential candidate Ron Paul who suggested we get out of Iraq and Afghanistan immediately and come home with a loss) and RNC favored Trey Grayson. Mitch McConnell, senate minority leader also from Kentucky, is supporting Grayson. Get this though, lately Grayson has been distancing himself from McConnell! Grayson is a former democrat and was a Bill Clinton delegate to the national convention.

Conservative American Bill Johnson

Conservative American Bill Johnson

Conservative American Bill Johnson is the REAL conservative in this race. Lately, we’ve seen many Rino’s and plain ordinary republicans suddenly claiming to be conservative. It goes all the way up in the RNC. Michael Steele is, at best, Conservative-Lite though he maintains he’s a conservative. Mike Huckabee has many people snowed into thinking he’s conservative, though his governing record proves this isn’t the case. The GOP is betraying conservatives with hand-picked rino’s as in the NY 23 congressional race. Palin stood up for Doug Hoffman and he still has a shot at winning.

It’s time for Palin to stand up for Bill Johnson. He needs the support of Sarah-PAC too.

We’ll talk about his opponents in a moment. First, let’s look at Conservative American Bill Johnson on the issues…

2nd Amendment – As an active gun owner and NRA member, I support gun rights. My son is a big fan of the 2nd amendment! We can often be found at the Todd county gun range shooting our AR15, M1 Carbine, .22 rifles, .22-250 rifle, shotgun, or perhaps the 1911 Springfield .45 pistol.

Energy – I support all forms of coal removal including mountain top removal and development. I advocate building additional refineries to process oil, building nuclear power plants in areas not abundant in coal, and drilling for oil the United States and off the coast. I am against cap and trade as well as all new taxes on energy.

Military – I believe in peace through strength. I support preemptive action when our National Interests are at stake. I support maintaining our forward deployed military bases. I favor increased troop levels in Afghanistan and keeping the terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.

Economy – I am against government bailouts of corporations. I do not support a federal stimulus package based on government spending. Instead, I support cutting taxes for corporations and individuals to generate real economic growth. I believe in supply side economics.

Healthcare – I do not support a public option. I support free market based solutions like good faith estimates, tort reform, and insurance available across state lines. I also support medical savings accounts and making medical expense tax deductable.

Israel – I support continued U.S. funding for Israel. I do not believe in a two state solution. I support the Biblical boundaries for Israel and their right to defend their nation against attack.

Marriage – I support a federal marriage amendment to establish marriage as between one man and one woman.

Defending Life – I support a federal personhood amendment to ensure constitutional rights for the unborn. I believe the primary sworn duty in office is to fulfill the stated purpose of our Constitution, which is “to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

Legalization of Drugs – I do not support legalization of marijuana or narcotics at the state level. Drugs useful for medical treatment should follow FDA guidelines.

Taxes – I support a fair tax (consumption based tax) and elimination of the IRS. I also support immediate reduction in the current marginal tax rates for corporations and individuals.

Term Limits – I support a 12-year term limit amendment for Senators and Congressman. I have personally committed to serving only 12 years regardless of passage of an amendment.

Trade – I support fair trade between nations. International companies wanting to sell products into the American marketplace should compete on a level playing field with American based companies.

Illegal Immigration – I am opposed to sanctuary cities and amnesty programs. We should immediately send illegal immigrates back to their country and prosecute companies that knowingly use illegal workers.

Education – I support elimination of the Department of Education and moving all decisions related to education to the States. I support school vouchers and home schooling.

Farm Subsidies – I am generally opposed to government subsidies. However, I do support a safety net for our small family farms when commodity prices fall below a threshold needed to sustain the farm.

Aviation User Fees – I am opposed to aviation user fees and the privatizing the national air traffic control system.

It’s clear to see Bill Johnson is The Real Kentucky Conservative So, this is our open letter to Sarah Palin…please endorse Bill Johnson. Please give him SarahPAC support and please encourage your supporters to help Bill Johnson win.

Now, let’s look at the other two candidates. Some are questioning if Trey Grayson is a “real” conservative. He’s been said to be “dancing” to the right. PageOne Kentucky says Grayson is pretending to be conservative. Liberty Maven adds this…

“Kentucky Republicans should be asking themselves if they want another Lindsey Graham who compromises and capitulates to the Left in the name of big government bipartisanship or if they’d like a true conservative Senator who will fight for low taxes and free markets? It’s still quite early but judging from recent comments it seems Trey Grayson is sounding more and more like Graham and Rand Paul is sounding more and more like a Republican.”

Conservative Alan Keyes says candidate Rand Paul has money and is running as a Conservative, “But like his father, he rejects Ronald Reagan’s ‘Peace through strength’ acceptance of America’s leadership for freedom in the world. Like his father, he echoes Barack Obama’s illogical willingness to pretend that America is to blame for the hateful attacks directed against us by Middle East terrorists. Like his father, he seeks the support of those who understand that the Constitution cannot survive unless its foundation of respect for unalienable rights is preserved. But, again like his father, he asserts that it can somehow be just and lawful for State governments to violate the unalienable rights of human offspring in the womb or the research laboratory. It’s only wrong when the Federal government does so.”

And the Wall Street Journal isn’t sure internet fame can take Rand Paul to a victory: “Like his father who became an Internet phenomenon during his presidential run, Rand Paul also seems to be somewhat of an Internet sensation. But whether he can actually win is an open question. The Kentucky race is featured in a Wall Street Journal story today looking at efforts by underdog Republicans to catch the wave of anti-establishment fervor in their party.”

Neither Rand nor Grayson sound like great candidates. Neither of them provide an answer for true Conservative Americans looking to make a difference in Washington. Rand and Grayson don’t provide the answer for Tea Partier’s looking to take back our government.

Paul and Grayson have had some spats lately too, as reported by the Miami Herald. These two enjoy bickering…sounds like the same old politics as usual to us. Paul supporters even have a site up called “TraitorTrey.”

Conservative Americans need your help in this race, Sarah. Kentucky voters need your help. Bill Johnson needs your support.

ConservativeAmerican.org has endorsed Bill Johnson for U.S. Senate in Kentucky.

Gingrich Loses NY 23

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Conservative American News & Views.

Newt Gingrich needs to stop preaching and start listening.

Gingrich backed the republican, Dede Scozzafava, in the New York congressional race despite calling himself a Conservative American. He said the party has to be big enough to include all types of people. He said Conservatives trying to purge the party of people like Dede were wrong. Dede was no conservative and was hardly a republican. He stuck with her, she dropped out and endorsed the dem…you know the story.

A third party candidate, Doug Hoffman running as a Conservative, almost won…something that hardly ever happens. Hoffman should be proud of his 45% showing. Instead, for the first time in 100 years, this district chose a democrat to represent them in congress!

Message clear to the GOP: Pick better candidates or you will lose. Conservative Americans will no longer stand for Rino’s and warm bodies to fill seats. They’d rather let the other guys win just to teach you a lesson. Listening Newt? Do you hear them Michael Steele?

Thank God for wins in New Jersey and Virginia for the GOP. They can point to those and claim victory. Much will be made of the “Conservative Loss” in New York 23. The fact is he did not run as a republican and third party candidates hardly ever win. This was no conservative loss. This was a GOP loss. They picked the wrong candidate, they let down the voters, and the voters said enough is enough…in Star Wars terms, they let the Wookie win.

Let’s hope Newt Gingrich heard that message. Newt has done some great things for our side. Lately he has been foggy though. Overall, Newt remains a good guy on the right side of most issues. We’re not trying to toss him out of the party, as he suggested. We simply are standing up for Conservative American values and beliefs.

Palin Scores Big Victory for Conservatives in NY 23!

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Leading the way Right

By Peter Andrew

Former VP Candidate Sarah Palin has done it again! She had a huge impact in the health care debate and now her support of a Conservative congressional candidate in New York has given Conservative Americans a HUGE Victory!

The GOP endorsed candidate, Dede Scozzafava, has stepped out of the race. Despite the efforts of Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich to see this liberal regressive DRINO (democrat or republican in name only…makes no difference) win the seat, Conservative Americans have scored a huge victory.

Regardless of who wins the election, the actions of Scozzafava today send a huge message to the sleeping Republican National Committee and the wandering Michael Steele: We want Conservative American candidates. No more wishy washy crap. No more settling for second best as Newt Gingrich suggested. We want our country back and only true Conservative Americans are going to help make that happen.

Sarah Palin tossed her support behind Conservative American Doug Hoffman and that brought tons of media attention and helped, along with Rush Limbaugh’s efforts, to make this happen. Let’s pray someone at the RNC is listening. It’s time to dump Michael Steele and go with Saul Anuzis of Michigan.

Here’s what Sarah Palin had to say about today’s happenings…

Palin Takes On Michael Steele

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Leading the way Right

By Peter Andrew

Breaking from Michael Steele and the Republican National Committee (RNC), former VP Candidate Sarah Palin has made another brilliant move. She is endorsing Conservative American Doug Hoffman in a New York Congressional race instead of endorsing the RNC approved candidate.

From Palin’s Facebook page…

“The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.

The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it’s important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York’s 23rd Congressional district. It’s my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a “time for choosing.”

The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.

And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.”

Obama Cutting Social Security Benefits!!!

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Conservative Americans need to jump all over this one!

For ages, Conservative Americans have had to put up with bull from the left about how those terrible republicans want to cut the Social Security benefits of senior citizens. It’s not true, of course, but it is a typical play used by the liberals when they are facing an opponent in an election. It’s not the conservatives, it is Barack Hugo Obama that is cutting the money seniors count on to survive!

Under Obama, Social Security recipients will not get an increase in benefits for the next two years. They won’t even get a cost-of-living increase!
