The results of an internal statewide poll, done last week in Kentucky, show Trey Grayson at 29%, Rand Paul at 25%, Bill Johnson at 14%, Thoney at 2%, Oerther at 1%, Martin at 1%, and 28% of the voters undecided. The poll of 1113 likely voters has a margin of error of 3.5%.

The campaign to fill the seat being vacated by Senator Jim Bunning has drawn much attention. The front-runners to replace Senator Bunning are Trey Grayson, Secretary of State, Rand Paul, son of unsuccessful presidential candidate Ron Paul, and Bill Johnson.

Grayson and Paul have been taking pot shots at each other in an attempt to gain media attention. Both have raised nearly a million dollars each from their out of state friends and political allies while Johnson has been traveling the state talking with residents about the issues important to them.

Since he is not financed by lobbyists or special interest groups Johnson is raising funds by accepting small donations from interested voters. His growing strength in the polls is clear evidence that Kentucky voters are not for sale.

Johnson said, “My campaign is working to win for the people here at home. This campaign is not about money. Important issues such as our economy, the war on terror, healthcare, and energy independence should be on the minds of those who would serve our country.”

As a pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family, and pro-military candidate, Johnson is concerned about the future of America. “As I continue to campaign across Kentucky I am meeting hard working people who are struggling to pay their bills, save for retirement, and provide for their kids college tuition,” Johnson added.

Bill Johnson is a Republican Candidate for the U.S. Senate from Kentucky. Johnson is a military gulf war veteran, businessman and concerned citizen tired of the nonsense coming out of Washington. He stands for limited government, low taxes, strong military, gun ownership, marriage between one man and one woman, and life begins at conception. Johnson is committed to returning our great nation to the conservative values of Ronald Reagan.

Johnson gaining according to Johnson internal push-poll!

Too bad all the independent polls, including no-doubt the next one that is being done now by PPP, all have him at 2%. Johnson was at 2% in August according to SurveyUSA, 2% in September according to Research2000 and 2% again in November according again to another SurveyUSA poll. PPP, due out later this month, will show him between 1% and 4% of the vote if they even bother to include his irrelevant candidacy.

  3. Marie Says:

Thank you, Conservative American, for supporting Bill Johnson and for recognizing that the American people want and deserve a conservative standing for them from the State of Kentucky.

Rand Paul is a liberal in conservative clothing and he will prove this to Kentucky voters as this campaign marches on.

Kentuckians want and need the face of Conservative determination and that face belongs to Bill Johnson.

Hey Steve….thanks for responding. I can see your concern about the polls. I always have trouble with them too. The thing about numbers is that they can always be manipulated to reflect a certain viewpoint. The poll that I'm concerned with is the one that's going to be taken on May 18 when each person can apply their vote next to the candidate of their choice. I can assure you that Bill Johnson is going to be ahead in that poll. Don't you just hate when that happens? Until then, I will continue to walk and talk his message. There are a lot of people ecstatic with his qualifications. So while other candidates are out collecting money, we will be out collecting the public trust.

  5. Lisa Graas Says:

PPP is not a trustworthy pollster. It's run by liberals and their polling is never right.

Hooray for Bill Johnson!! He's the only true conservative running in this race!!!

  6. Bette Says:

I heard Bill Johnson speak at a rally in Lexington a few weeks ago and was more impressed with him than any candidate I've ever heard. I am usually pretty cynical when I hear a candidate talk about what they believe in and what kind of changes they will work for in government–yeah, sure–if elected. I agree with Marie (above) when she says Rand Paul is a "liberal in conservative clothing." As for polls, they are subject to change on a daily basis.

  7. Bette Lorenzen Says:

I just heard Mitt Romney being interviewed on Hannity. When asked what his plans were for the 2012 presidential race, he replied that he was more interested right now in the upcoming off-year election for Senate. Why not ask Mr. Romney to speak on behalf of Bill Johnson? He can well-afford ro pay his own expenses to and from Kentucky and may very well become as pro-Johnson as Alan Keyes!
