Obama insults Nancy Reagan

President-elect Barack Obama insulted Nancy Reagan in an attempt to be funny with reporters. Mr. Obama said he now had spoken with all of the living former presidents, but “I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances.” It was a reference to Nancy Reagan talking with Astrologers while she was living in the White House.

We all understand trying to be funny and blowing it at times. These jokes probably work in private with his friends. His comment was in very poor taste. Mr. Obama is the one who always says family is off limits. He got upset when people criticized his wife and he no doubt will want the media to leave his kids alone too. Next time you want to make a joke against the family of an ex-president, drink your own kool-aid first, okay? Obama did phone Mrs. Reagan today to apologize.
