The Obama administration quietly announced last week that as much as $16.1 million from the stimulus program is going to save the San Francisco Bay area habitat of, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.” (S.A.      REALITY: Stimulus Money Going To Fix Roads That Don’t Need Repairs. “Tens of thousands of unsafe or decaying bridges carrying 100 million drivers a day must wait for repairs because states are spending stimulus money on spans that are already in good shape or on easier projects like repaving roads …” (Brett J. Obama to break promise not to raise taxes on the middle class!! 8/2/9 - Fox News: “President Obama may have to break his campaign pledge and raise taxes on middle-class Americans to pay for public health care and the growing deficit, an eventuality that administration officials touched lightly on Sunday as they promoted an economy emerging from recession…Asked point blank whether it was right to suggest it is a matter of when, not if, taxes will be raised, (Tim the Tax Cheat) Geithner responded, “It is absolutely right.” – - This could be Obama’s Biggest Lie Yet!
554. Obama Administration Disagrees with Itself about Economic Recovery!!! 8/2/9 – While Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner says the economy won’t have any kind of strong and sustained recovery with the huge Obama deficits, Team Obama says the economy already is recovering! Fox News: “”We will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we … can convince the American people that we’re going to have the will to bring these deficits down…” Geithner said on ABCDEmocrat’s “This Democrat Week.” – - “But the president’s team circling the Sunday morning news shows was quick to note that there are signs the recession is easing despite a persistent decline in job losses in the past six months.” — Yep. The economy is actually better even though you just got a huge pay cut (I feel your pain) or just lost your job.
555. Socialist President Obama Limits Executive Pay! 8/2/9 Breitbart, the Associated Democrat Press, and Nachumlist all report: “The House has voted to restrict how Wall Street executives get paid after nine banks that took government aid rewarded thousands of their employees with bonuses topping $1 million each. The vote advances the first piece of a broader proposal by President Barack Obama to increase oversight of financial institutions. The legislation…prohibit(s) large companies from fashioning pay incentives that encourage employees to take financial risks that could threaten the economy or the viability of the institution…The bill includes other Obama suggestions: It would give shareholders a nonbinding vote on compensation packages and prohibit directors on compensation committees from having a financial relationship with the company and its executives.” — Hard to believe. This is the United States of America! Things like this are not supposed to happen here. This is what we get for electing the nation’s first Socialist President.

Obama Appointment Scandal # 58 -Communist Green Jobs Czar says No One Knows what a “Green Job” even is!!! - 8/2/9 From NEWSREAL: “Van Jones, a self-described former communist who was arrested and briefly detained during the Rodney King riots, was interviewed by Newsweek’s Daniel Stone for a July 28, 2009 web-only story. The article begins: ‘Washington is spending $60 billion to create the careers of the future, but not a single green job yet exists. Obama’s ‘green czar’ explains.’ – Except Jones doesn’t really “explain” anything at all. Instead, Jones tells Newsweek that the real problem is that no one in authority can agree about just what a “green job” actually is: ‘Well, we still don’t have a unified definition, and that’s not unusual in a democracy…But the Department of Labor is working on it very , diligently…Since Jones literally wrote the book on “green jobs” (2008’s The Green Collar Economy), this revelation doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.” — Another great choice of friends by Barack Hugo Obama! UPDATE 9/4/9: Along with being a communist, signing a petition that says Bush is responsible for 9/11 (See Scandal dated 9/3/9), and admitting he doesn’t know what green jobs really are (above), Jones is caught on tape calling himself an A**hole and saying republicans are A**holes (Scandal dated 9/2/9). Fox News notes it was Rodney ‘Can’t We All Just Get Along King’ who made Van Jones famous: “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of,’” he said in a 2005 interview with the East Bay Express. Jones told the newspaper he stayed in San Francisco, and for the next 10 years worked with a lot of the people he met in jail. Months after the King verdict came down, Jones said, “I was a communist.” At the time he became involved with a group called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), which described itself as committed to Marxist and Leninist ideas. He also started putting pressure on police in San Francisco, monitoring and drawing attention to allegations of police brutality. He was quoted accusing the police department of “killing black people.”…A declared “communist” during the 1990s, Jones once associated with a group that looked to Mao Zedong as an inspiration. Jones’ exceptional past is reminiscent of associations noted during the presidential campaign, when then-Sen. Barack Obama doggedly fended off claims that he was tied to radicals and overzealous activists….(Van Jones) also has consistently leaned on racially charged language, pointing the finger at “white polluters and the white environmentalists” for “steering poison” to minority communities!” –ConservativeAmerican.org’s take: Jones is another of Obama’s clearly Racist Friends. The President has put him in charge of spending $30-Billion dollars!! A consistent theme to this amazing, constantly growing Scandals List is Obama’s incredibly poor judgement in picking friends and associates who are bizarre, crazy radicals! This is what we warned people about before the election! Not many believed us. We were just ‘right wing extremists’ trying to steal the election from a half-black man. Nonsense. Obama To Move Gitmo Prison to Kansas or Michigan! - 8/2/9 – While the media still refuses to acknowledge Obama has created his own Club Gitmo Prison at Bagram Air Force Base in Iraq, Obama is looking to create his second Gitmo…this one on the U.S. mainland! Team Obama has been both for, and against, bringing terrorists here from the beginning. Still King Obama has promised to close Guantanamo Bay by January, 2010. Reports now are coming out that claim he might put terrorists at a soon-to-be-closed maximum security prison in Michigan or “the 134-year-old military penitentiary at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.,…to hold the 229 suspected Al Qaeda, Taliban and foreign fighters now jailed at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba.” – - Harry Reid has promised Americans that no terrorists from Guantanamo will come the the U.S.! But Obama is planning to do just that! Obama Attorney General Eric Let ‘em Go Holder has said BOTH that terrorists could be brought here and that they won’t be brought here! Meanwhile, from Fox: “Some lawmakers have already voice opposition to bringing Guantanamo detainees to the U.S. for trial, even in heavily guarded settings.” — FBI Director Robert Mueller told Congress that bringing Guantanamo detainees to the United States could pose a number of risks, even if they were kept in maximum-security prisons. White House Spinster Robert Brothers Gibbs and Attorney General Eric Let ‘em Go Holder both quickly responded that Obama would never do anything to endanger Americans. The Hypocrite-in-Chief is, in fact, planning to endanger Americans by bringing these monsters to the midwest.Why doesn’t he put these terrorists in his own home state of Illinois with his terrorist pal Bill Ayers?

Larry Summers Flip Flop on When Stimulus Money will Start Helping 8/2/9 The RNC: “In February, (Obama Adviser Larry) Summers Claimed Effects Of Stimulus Would “Begin Almost Immediately.” CNN‘S WOLF BLITZER: “It‘s a tough call, obviously, right now for these members of Congress. But if the president gets his way and gets this package approved, he signs it into law, how soon before the American public starts to feel results, the creation of jobs?” LARRY SUMMERS: “You‘ll see the effects begin almost immediately.”(CNN‘s The Situation Room, 2/9/09) REALITY: Now Summers Argues Stimulus Intended To “Play Out In The Next Couple Of Years.” LARRY SUMMERS: “The administration‘s report was very clear that the stimulus would build over time, that less than 10% of the job creation would take place during 2009, that the largest impacts would be felt as the program took effect, as all of those projects got started … the stimulus bill is a bill that‘s largely going to play out in the next couple of years.” (NBC‘s Meet The Press, 8/2/09)

Obama Adviser Flip Flop on Economic Recovery! 8/2/9 The RNC: “(Economic Adviser Christina) Romer Claimed Stimulus Would Make Economy “Turn The Corner And We Will Start Adding Jobs.” ROMER: “I think we certainly are experiencing a very severe downturn, but I think with this action, together with the actions that Secretary Geithner announced yesterday, we will turn the corner and we will start adding jobs, rather than losing them at more than half a million a month, like we have been for the last four months.” (Fox Business News Happy Hour, 2/12/09) REALITY: Now Romer Argues Economy Has Yet To “Hit Bottom,” Recovery Will Be Slow. Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner does a Flip Flop on Economic Recovery too! 8/2/9 The RNC: “In February, Geithner Said Stimulus Would Provide “Immediate Response To The Current Crisis.” “We view our economic recovery plan, our financial stability plan and now this homeowner affordability plan as three legs to the same stool — an integrated whole that represents our immediate response to the current crisis.” (Pete Kasperowicz, Geithner Touts $8,000 Homebuyer Tax Credit, Reuters, 2/25/09) REALITY: Geithner Now Argues Economy Long Way From Recovery, “Ultimate Test” Of Stimulus Yet To Be Met. GEITHNER: “I think we have a ways to go … Unemployment is very high in this country … We need recovery to be built on private demand, private spending. Businesses taking a chance in the American economy. Putting investments to work, starting to rebuild their employment base. That‘s the ultimate test for recovery.” (ABC News‘ This Week, 8/2/09)”
561. Obama’s Flip-Flop-Flip on Tax Hike for Middle Class! - 8/3/9 First Obama said no tax hike for the middle class. Now, just one day after Team Obama flipped and had players say a middle class tax hike might be needed, they have flopped back again! Yesterday both Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner and White House Economic Council President Larry Summers said a middle class tax cut might be needed. Fox News: White House Spinster Robert “Gibbs, though, dismissed the comments as part of a “hypothetical back and forth” that Geithner and Summers allowed themselves to engage in. “Promising that everyone’s going to be on message may be a bar that’s too high to leap over,” Gibbs said.” — Getting Team Obama on the same page is “a bar that’s too high??!!!

Obama’s Broken Promise To Elkhart, Indiana 8/2/9 The RNC: “I promised you back then that, if elected, I‘d do everything I could to help this community recover, and that’s why I came back today, because I intend to keep my promise … That‘s why I put forth a recovery and reinvestment plan that is now before Congress.” (President Barack Obama, Remarks By The President At Town Hall, Elkhart, Indiana, 2/9/09) REALITY: Unemployment Has More Than Doubled In Elkhart Since Last Year. 563. Sebelius Mad at Free Speech! - 8/3/9 Obama’s Health and Abortion Services Director, Katherine Sebelius, shouts back at socialist medicine protesters. Fox News: “The Senate bill isn’t written so don’t boo the senator (Specter) for not reading a bill that isn’t written,” she said. That explanation, which undermined an earlier failed argument that the legislation should be passed quickly, didn’t satisfy many of the more than 400 people estimated in attendance. Dozens in the back shouted at Sebelius when she said the bill would stop the system of rationing that insurance companies use. Sebelius then scolded the audience who jeered her, saying she would take questions if people could stop shouting at each other.

Obama Lies About Reducing Medicare Benefits! - 8/3/9 From CNN July 28th comes this Obama quote: “”Nobody is talking about trying to change Medicare benefits,” he said. “What we do want is to eliminate some of the waste that is being paid for out of the Medicare trust fund.” – - Then, from MicroSoft-NBC today comes this statement about Medicare Cuts: “Furthermore the CBO said an administration-backed independent council of medical experts to recommend Medicare cuts would only yield modest savings.” — So it seems there will be Medicare CUTS after all! UPDATE 8/8/9: Washington Post: “In his weekly Internet and radio address, the president pushed back against claims “that reform will…cut Medicaid,…That’s simply not true.”

     The ObamaCare Nightmare will add from $1-Trillion to $1.5-Trillion to federal government spending over the next ten years. The federal government does not have that money. It will need to print more money, or go back to its parent company (China) to ask for more money…AGAIN. It certainly will add to the deficit that Mrs. Peter Orszag, Obama’s liberal blogger turned budget director who used to care about budget deficits, says won’t grow under the plan!!! From MicroSoft-NBC comes his outrageous claim: “White House Budget Director Peter Orszag, a former CBO director, insists that the health care effort “is deficit neutral over the first decade”
566. Obama’s Cyber Security Czar Quits! Appointment Scandal # 59 – Melissa Hathaway 8/4/9 The Wall Street Journal: “The resignation highlights the difficulty the White House has had following through on its cybersecurity effort. President Barack Obama first outlined his cybersecurity plans in a high-profile speech May 29, announcing his intention to create a top White House cybersecurity post — a position he has yet to fill. Melissa Hathaway, who completed the Obama administration’s cybersecurity review in April, said in an interview that she was leaving for personal reasons. “It’s time to pass the torch,” she said, adding that she and her colleagues have provided an “initial down payment for what’s needed to start to address cybersecurity.” In the past year, intelligence officials have grown increasingly concerned about Chinese and Russian cyberspies surveilling U.S. infrastructure and military networks. People familiar with the matter said Ms. Hathaway has been “spinning her wheels” in the White House, where the president’s economic advisers sought to marginalize her politically.” – ConservativeAmerican.org asks how it can be “time to pass the torch,” when she just got there?!

567. Obama’s Technology Policy Adviser Quits! Appointment Scandal # 60 – Susan Crawford 8/4/9 Big Government reports Obama may be back-tracking on his so-called “Net-Nuetrality” position. “Crawford…is a strong proponent of net neutrality, which critics have charged would amount to a government takeover of the internet. The policy has been the focus of widespread, bipartisan opposition in recent weeks, emanating from everyone from internet service providers to liberal-aligned groups and elected Democrats at the state and federal level. Crawford’s resignation attracted little attention when the American Spectator noted it on Monday…But observers say…Crawford ran afoul of White House economic adviser Larry Summers, who sources say may be concerned about the political impact of net neutrality. In its write-up, the Spectator noted that: “[Summers] and other senior Obama officials were unaware of how radical the draft Net Neutrality regulations were when they were initially internally circulated to Obama administration officials several weeks ago. ‘All of sudden Larry is getting calls from CEOs, Wall Street folks he talks to, Republicans and Democrats, asking him what the Administration is doing with the policies, and he isn’t sure what they’re talking about,’ says one White House aide. ‘He felt blind-sided, and Susan was one of those people who heard about it.’”

Obama Bailout’s “Cash for Clunkers” is destroying perfectly good cars! - 8/4/9 Fox News: “To receive government reimbursement, auto dealers who offer rebates on new cars in exchange for so-called clunkers must agree to “kill” the old models, using a method the government outlines in great detail in its 136-page manual for dealers: Drain the engine of oil and replace it with two quarts of a sodium-silicate solution.” – - So to save the earth, they are destroying perfectly good cars and filling the landfills with them. Environmental Wackos on parade. This hurts the poor too because the cars some of them can afford to buy are simply being destroyed, reducing the inventory and increasing the cost of used cars. Whatever happened to reduce, re-use and recycle? They are not reducing waste, they are increasing it! There is no re-use only waste! Can you imagine what the reaction would be if a republican had come up with a plan that hurts the poor like this? Strange, we don’t hear anything on the news about how mean the democrats are. UPDATE 8/5/9: Fox News: “Sold as an economic stimulus and an environmental salve, the “cash for clunkers” program has succeeded in jump-starting the ailing auto industry. But some environmental and national security watchdogs are now arguing that the harm caused by destroying the used vehicles — required by the government trade-in program — may outweigh the benefits of exchanging pollution-spewing gas guzzlers for new, more efficient cars. “Disposing of old products, a step required by most incentive and rebate programs, also has environmental costs,”

Obama Acts Like a Fascist: Keeps White House List of those who Oppose the ObamaCare Nightmare! - 8/4/9 From Redstate and Jeff Emanuel: “If you see anybody publicly opposing President Obama’s plan to implement a government-centric overhaul of the health care system, the White House wants you to report that person (or persons) ASAP. From the White House website: ‘There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.’ …The White House has, as yet, offered no explanation of what it is they plan to do with the tips on policy opposition they hope to receive from citizen informers.” Hitler also asked informants to turn in lists of names of those who opposed him. John Cornyn…“I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed ‘fishy’ or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests,” Cornyn writes today in a harshly worded letter to President Barack Obama in which he asks the president to immediately halt the effort.” UPDATE 8/17/9: Fox Nation: “The White House on Monday implemented several new changes to its Web site, apparently aimed at reducing the number of people who receive unsolicited e-mails from the administration and at battling charges that it’s collecting personal information on critics. After the White House took heat for asking people to report “fishy” information about health care reform, the e-mail address set up for that purpose became inactive Monday.”



570. White House Spokesman Changes Tune on Iranian Leader! - 8/5/9 For a very brief time today, Fox News had a story up indicating that Robert Gibbs was backtracking on comments he made just yesterday about the so-called Iranian President. The story and any historical record of it have been deleted from the Fox site. The piece pointed out that yesterday Gibbs said Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (pronunciation: My-in-a-mood I’m-a-nutta-Job) was the elected leader of Iran. Because the statement would indicate the Administration was recognizing the ruthless dictator as the fairly “elected” leader, reporters questioned him about it. Gibbs repeated, “He’s the elected leader.” Today, he back-tracked and said that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had been inaugurated as the leader. He made the change to apparently clarify that Team Obama was not, after all, saying Ahmadinejad had been elected in any type of fair election.
571. Congress Bails Out Toyota and Honda?!!! - 8/6/9 – The stupid cash for clunkers program that uses your tax dollars to destroy working autos is also bailing out Toyota and Honda, two Japanese car makers! You are bailing out foreign companies! According to Fox News, 3 of the top five cars purchased under the program are Toyotas, 1 is a Honda and 1 is a Ford. Yes, we know some of these cars are “made” or assembled in the United States. The fact remains that you are working to pay taxes to help Japanese companies. I thought democrats didn’t like evil corporations. UPDATE 8/22/9: Fox News: “The Obama administration has declared the wildly popular ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program a success, saying it has revived the country’s ailing auto industry and taken polluting vehicles off the road. But the data shows that the program…has apparently benefited foreign automakers more than their U.S. counterparts…Smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles like the Toyota Corolla are top sellers, while buyers are trading in SUV’s like the Ford Explorer to be scrapped, turning the already dwindling number of American car owners into the growing ranks of foreign car drivers. Toyota vehicles accounted for 19.2 percent of the 489,269 sales, while General Motors had the second spot at 17.7 percent. The Honda Civic was the second best-selling vehicle, followed by the Ford Focus in the third spot. Foreign cars occupied eight of the 10 spots on top-selling vehicle list. The Ford Explorer was the most traded-in vehicle under the program, with U.S. cars occupying all top 10 spots on the (traded in) list.”

Team Obama Invented Astroturfing, now Accuses You of working for Lobbyists and Health Insurance Companies! - 8/6/9 Without a single fact to back up Obama claims of fake protesters, the media repeats the lie over and over. From Rush Limbaugh: “you’ve heard Dick Turban and others say that these (protesters at socialist-democrat town hall meetings) are all trumped up, they’re phony, they’re not genuine, they’re sponsored by and promoted by the evil insurance companies. These are just people that are agitators, don’t even know what they’re talking about, they’re organized and they’re driven in there and they’re just designed to harass. Now, there’s a term for this. It’s the opposite of grassroots, astroturf. These town halls they’re claiming are not grassroots, they are astroturfed. Astroturfed is a plan, it’s a mechanism invented by David Axelrod. From a very approving BusinessWeek, March 14th of 2008 story on Axelrod: “‘The Secret Side of David Axelrod’ — The Obama campaign’s chief strategist is a master of ‘Astroturfing’ and has a second firm that shapes public opinion for corporations…Axelrod operates a second business, ASK Public Strategies,…the firm helped set up front organizations that were listed as sponsors of public-issue ads. Industry insiders call such practices ‘Astroturfing,’ a reference to manufacturing grassroots support,” that doesn’t really exist. You create the image of grassroots supporters and organization, you create it. It’s fake.” — So, while Obama says you’re a fraud for being against his ObamaCare Nightmare (and writes your name down on a White House list!), his socialist-democrats bus in astroturfed protesters in Wisconsin (source: Jay Weber, WISN radio) to make sure they are not overwhelmed by HONEST citizens!! Bottom Line? THEY LIE and use fake protesters, THEN ACCUSE YOU of being the one who is DISHONEST! Outrageous stuff! Is this what all of you who were tired of George Bush voted for?!

573. Corporate Jets OK for Congress, Not for CEO’s! - 8/6/9 Jay Levine at CBS TV in Chicago reports on congressional hypocrisy: “In these tough times, everyone’s cutting back on travel expenses. Everyone, except maybe Congress. Your lawmakers just signed off on buying three new Gulfstream jets…a $200 million price tag…that’s how much members of Congress, who preside over an economy every bit as shaky as the companies they’re bailing out, have decided to spend for their own comfort and convenience…In one hangar alone, more than $60 million worth of aircraft, owned by a well-known Chicago corporation, sits idle far more of the time this year than in the past. The reason? “When average working people see an executive using an airplane, and they hear Congress and the president talking about the fat cats, you become one and the same,” said Charles Priester of Priester Aviation. With what the VA is doing to our veterans, the Sarah Palin charge of “death panels” deciding who will live or die is a completely legitimate concern. Thanks to her, the senate removed the language from its health reform bill. Here’s what we know: Within the House bill is a change that would provide Medicare coverage for an end-of-life consultation every five years. That simply means if you want to (sessions are not required), you can go learn more about things like Hospice and Palliative care. If you are already facing a life-threatening disease, you can get Medicare to pay for more frequent sessions. Why do this? Some Harvard study said it would save a ton of money on healthcare costs. The bill requires health providers explain to seniors the end-of-life services available. That’s what scares people and, given what happens with veterans, rightly so. “This provision may start us down a treacherous path toward government-encouraged euthanasia if enacted into law,” House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich. said in a statement last month. — Republicans know if seniors are scared and motivated, Obamacare is dead on arrival. UPDATE 9/9/9 – Obama calls Sarah Palin a liar and claims again that no government bureaucrat will be on panel to decide if you get care. Obama’s Town Hall Flip Flop on using tactics that Scare & Mislead the American People 8/11/9 President Obama today urged his supporters not to listen to those who “scare and mislead the American public.” What a huge flip flop! I guess we all need to quit listening to HIM now! Remember the scare tactics he used on the economy? This from the guy who said “economic catastrophe,” “might not ever recover,” “unable to reverse,” “create a negative spiral,” “Could become dramatically worse,” “Economic crisis could linger for years,” and on and on. We have been Leading the way Right on this story. Remember the scare tactics he used to pass his Deficit Stimulus Plan that he told us would keep unemployment below 8%?! Obama has made a career out of community, and now nation, agitating and uses fear and chaos as his weapons! It’s Obama Leadership by Fear that we have been talking about since before he even took office! He is the Hypocrite-in-Chief. This is an absolutely outrageous statement coming from him. He projects what he sees in the mirror onto other people! This would be like Bill Clinton encouraging men not to cheat on their wives!
