Palin Picks Liberal Judge?

Here comes a very big “Yeah, But…” Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has named a liberal judge to the state’s supreme court. Morgan Christen was even a board member for a local chapter of the conservative-hated Planned Parenthood group.

As we mentioned earlier, Palin had only two judges to choose from and both were liberal.
“The problem is the two choices she has to pick from are justices who don’t align with her conservative views. Alaska’s judges are selected using the Missouri Plan, which combines election and appointment in choosing the judge. The Alaska Judicial Council selects the nominees from which the governor can then make an appointment.”
Ed Morrissey at Michelle Malkin’s Hot Air website says it’s not so clear who was more liberal; Christen or Eric Smith, the other nominee. Here’s a screen shot of his report (click here to see it):
