Democrat Finds 3rd Death Due to Obamacare Nightmare

By David Kraemer – ConservativeAmerican.org – Leading the way Right.

Liberal pro-regresive radio talk show host Thom Hartmann loves Obamacare. When it doesn’t work (so, pretty much all the time!), he actually has such a lack of intelligence that he chooses to blame republicans!

Hartmann writes online about the death of Charlene Dill, perhaps the 3rd person to die because of Obamacare.

In his story, he tries to blame republicans in Florida for the death! But, even using his own facts, we see this isn’t true at all! He wants you to think Dill did not have insurance because wise republicans turned down federal money to increase Medicaid funding in their states. What Hartmann doesn’t tell you is that the federal money came with numerous catches. The biggest of all the strings is the one that required states to do the federal government’s Obamacare Nightmare dirty work by setting up their own statewide healthcare exchanges. Many republican governors chose instead to let the federal government live with its own stupid law and figure out on its own how to implement it. That decision did not end Medicaid in Florida. It did not make Dill ineligible for Medicaid. It did not cause Obamacare to fail for Charlene Dill.

It is nonsense to suggest otherwise.

Let’s look at what Hartmann wrote about Charlene Dill, who actually died because Obamacare didn’t work. From his post (we put the items in bold)…

“Charlene was a hardworking single mom, who worked three jobs to help make ends meet. Last year, Charlene made just $11,000 cleaning houses and babysitting. She used that money to help put food on the table for her children, and to put a roof over their heads. Charlene also had a severe heart condition, but she couldn’t afford the proper treatment for it, because she didn’t have health insurance.

Despite her health woes, Charlene continued to work three jobs, and continued to be the best mother that she could be for her children. But then one day late last month, when she was in a neighbor’s house trying to sell a vacuum cleaner, Charlene died from her untreated heart disease. She died because multimillionaire Rick Scott chose to play politics, rather than protect the lives of the Florida citizens he is supposed to be serving.”

First of all, last year Obamacare was not in effect. It did not impact or help Dill last year. Republicans made no adjustments at all that would have caused Dill not to have healthcare last year.

Using Hartmann’s facts, the Obamacare Nightmare was supposed to help people exactly like Charlene Dill this year to get health insurance and financial support to pay for it! Clearly the law failed her. Why didn’t Charlene Dill sign up?

There could be many reasons, but none of them have anything to do with republicans! Not a single republican voted for this law and it is beyond outrageous for this liberal talker to blame republicans when it was Obamacare that didn’t work for Charlene Dill. It was supposed to. But, the truth is it did not work for Charlene. And you can’t blame Rick Scott or any other republican. They had nothing to do with it. Blame Kathleen Sebelius if you want, but it had nothing to do with Rick Scott.

Did she try to sign up? She may have. Did she go to the emergency room where treatment would have been provided to her? Perhaps she did. Could it be she tried to sign up for Obamacare, but the website didn’t work? Or perhaps she didn’t have a computer and didn’t have the time to make it to the library to use one there. Did she call the Obamacare hotline only to be told to just keep trying online? Why didn’t the democrats who dreamed up this nightmare of a bill take the time to set it up properly instead of waiting to pass it to see what was in it and how awful it truly was?

There have probably already been hundreds of cases around the nation, that we don’t know about, where Obamacare directly resulted in the death of an American. We do know of two others.

Leading the way Right, ConservativeAmerican.org was the first (out of only two) to come to the defense of Ann Coulter after the liberal nut jobs said she was lying about a friend who died from Obamacare. Turns out her story was true and we proved it. The liberal “Politifact” embarrassed itself claiming this was a pants on fire lie.

Jeffrey Lord at the American Spectator introduced a second story of death that came as a direct result of Obamacare. President Obama has made “funny jokes” saying , “And there’s still no death panels.” Uh-huh. No death panels? How about death sentences Mr. President?

Along with Julie Stovall, the law now has also claimed the life of Frank Alfisi. In fact, it was Frank who passed away first, though his story did not gain much attention until Lord’s story in the American Spectator.

Lord writes in his excellent piece that Frank Alfisi’s daughter Amy was given bad news by the hospital after her father had two siezures.

…take in what Amy was told. Frank has now had not one but two seizures and as a direct result is now unconscious — needlessly — because of Medicare’s new “two midnight rule.” Frank’s dialysis doesn’t take one overnight in the hospital, much less “two midnights.” Remember that he was an outpatient, going three days a week for his dialysis treatment and returning afterwards to his apartment at the senior center. But because the new Medicare regulations — which had to be written to comply with Obamacarewouldn’t allow Frank to be admitted and thus dialyzed, Frank was now in very serious, life-threatening trouble… Amy, understandably furious at what happened to her Dad, ends by saying this: ‘In short, my father was sick, but that’s not what killed him. The way he suffered and cutting his life short happened because of a Medicare regulation that makes no sense. But, I guess we had to “pass the bill to see what’s in it.”’

Once it was too late, one of the “50 ways to delay Obamacare,” was to TEMPORARILY fix this…

…the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill popularly known as the “doctor fix.” Included in that bill, according to news reports, is language that “postpones hospital compliance with the controversial ‘two-midnight rule’ and recovery audits of medically unnecessary claims until March 2015.”

  1. I just don’t understand why she worked three jobs for $9000 when she could have worked one minimum wage job for $15,000. I’m also not sure why her heart condition, if that severe, wasn’t seen as a disability & therefore make her qualified for Medicaid. I did finally find one article that mentioned her divorce not being finalized also affected her eligibility for Medicaid which is an ah-ha moment. Medicaid also taking her husband’s salary into account has nothing to do with Republicans not expanding it. I think the biggest thing to remember is that the coverage gaps exist due to Obama “assuming” that someone at that income level would have been covered under Medicaid. However, the Supreme Court ruled in June 2012 that the states would have the option to expand which gave the president 17 months to remove the coverage gaps from the ACA. He is just as guilty if not more so because he knew things like this were going to happen & he ignored it to “prove a point” about how the Republicans are bad. Out of 37 changes to the law, I can’t believe the coverage gaps didn’t go away. Thank you for posting this. I have written about it on my blog as well and it has drawn attention. Hopefully more conservative bloggers will join us & we’ll show up more regularly in the search engines. It’s time for people to wake up about this president & his hypocrisies.
