President Barack Obama has been Commander in Chief for 190 days and more than 200 soldiers have died under his command. In a sad milestone today, the military announced the deaths of the 200th and 201st soldiers under President Obama. These 201 brave fighting men and women have lost their lives in service to their country since January 20th, 2009.

The 200th solider to die under the new President’s watch is a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Pfc. Donald W. Vincent, 26, of Gainesville, Fla., died July 25 of wounds sustained while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. The announcement of his death was followed closely by the announcement of the 201st soldier to die. Spc. Justin D. Coleman, 21, of Spring Hill, Fla., died July 24 in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit using small arms and rocket-propelled grenade fires. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y. We thank them for their service to this great nation.

It’s just the latest sad milestone for a President who has broken his promise to end the war in Iraq, choosing instead to leave at least 50,000 troops behind. In addition to breaking that promise, Obama has carried out his own troop surge (something he was dead set against and said would not work when George W. Bush did it) in Afghanistan and recent military action there is increasing the Obama Death Count. The Obama Troop Surge is #109 on the Official Obama Administration Scandals List.

Our controversial “Obama Death Count” was created to demonstrate the absurdity of the Bush Death Count the left kept while a republican was running the war. They hated the war when Bush ran it. The President passed the one-a-day death toll today earlier this month when the Department of Defense announced the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died on July 6th in Konduz, Afghanistan.
