DEMOCRATS WANT 100% TAX ON EXECUTIVE PAY BONUSES! The idea of government stepping in and taking over private industry in order to “save” private industry is ridiculous.  Still, that is the route both republican Bush-Paulson and democrat Obama-Geithner have taken.  To prevent the failure of capitalism, only ensures it. Now that Uncle Sam owns AIG insurance, the democrats want to make all the decisions about how to run a company.  They want everyone pissed off about AIG million dollar bonuses. They literally want to legislate decisions on which employees should be rewarded and which should not, how much of a reward they should or should not get, and (here’s the real kicker) how much tax one has to pay on bonuses.  We warned you that going down this slippery slope to socialism was not the right way to go. STOP. Think about this: If Democrats (or Republicans for that matter) really felt million dollar bonuses were that bad, why did they allow them? Why didn’t they stop them? They could have.  By stepping in and keeping failing companies alive, your congressmen forced AIG to give out huge bonuses!!! The company, still in business because of your congressmen, must now fulfill its contractual obligations and pay these bonuses! If your congressmen and either President Bush or Obama really, honestly thought these bonuses were bad (and they don’t think that), they should have let AIG file for bankruptcy, reorganize, renegotiate contracts and put an end to contracts that required them to pay out huge bonuses! The big bonuses are not the fault of AIG.  If you’re mad about them, blame your congressmen, senator and president!! HOW ABOUT A 100% TAX ON THE PAY OF CONGRESSMEN? Democrats are counting on you falling for this snow job. They are counting on you getting caught up in the “Yeah, those guys shouldn’t get big bonuses when tax dollars saved their company!” hoopla.  They want you to focus on how bad it is that the business is giving out the bonuses.  It’s a lie.  It’s a trick.  It’s an un-American thing to do.  Businesses giving out bonuses is not the point! Don’t fall for it. The point is how bad it is when government takes over private industry! No business is too big to fail.  That’s nonsense.  The mistake is not the bonuses.  The mistake is not letting AIG fail. Don’t fall for this! Fox reports Dems want to tax the heck out of any bonus you earn:

“You can write a tax provision targeted specifically at 98 percent of the taxable proceeds.”Dodd said that “doesn’t violate the terms of the contracts,” referring to legally-binding agreements that appear to preclude government action.Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., says his staff is reviewing such a proposal. He called it a “worthy” idea but said he needs to know more about how it would work. Dodd says this is something that “could happen fast. We could write this tomorrow.” Rep. Carolyn Maloney D-N.Y, the chair of the Joint Economic Committee, is also calling for a 100 percent tax on bonuses not related to commissions.  In a letter she distributed to fellow legislators for co-sponsorship, Maloney introduces legislation that will instruct the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service to develop guidelines that tax at 100 percent any bonus compensation that is not directly related to a commission for any recipient of TARP funds where the government is the majority owner of the company.”

Businesses are finding out the hard way that socialist government ownership is a very bad thing indeed.  Taxing 100% of someone’s income??  This seems criminal.  This is not American. Some banks that took bailout money even though they did not need it now are trying to give the money back.   Touch a bailout dollar and kiss your company goodbye. Take an Obama Stimulus check and hand over the office keys to Congressmen Bowney Fwank. This is absolutely nuts, people!  We need to join the republican Conservative Cabal that White House Press Dude Robert Gibbs spoke of yesterday!  We need to fight back.  First they said we had a “vast right wing conspiracy” blamed on Rush Limbaugh, now they say we have a “republican cabal” blamed on Limbaugh!  Well, if there is a Conservative American Cabal, we’d like to be blamed for that! America seems to have gone off the deep end.  What happened to traditional American values?  What happened to rewarding hard work? What happened to the chance to go into business and make it big - or lose your shirt? What happened to no pain, no gain? What has happened to us? Why in the heck did republicans, moderates, independents and blue dog democrats vote for the most liberal US Senator in history to be our President?  People got taken for a ride.  America got fooled big time.  Caught up in the desire to get rid of Bush and the “wouldn’t it be cool”-factor (to have a partially-black president) and we elected a socialist.   Anyone in the groups I listed who voted for Obama, should be having VERY serious second thoughts about this man.
