Dark cloud of tyranny in Iran -Will Obama “Speak Out” as Promised?
President Obama promised last week that America will speak out on behalf of those who live under the “dark cloud of tyranny.” Okay. That’s nice. So, thousands of those people living under the dark Iranian cloud of tyranny are protesting in Iran today. What exactly will Obama do to speak out on their behalf? And will reporters ask him that question?

From the President’s speech at West Point last week, we heard his lofty, empty-suit promise…
” And we must make it clear to every man, woman and child around the world who lives under the dark cloud of tyranny that America will speak out on behalf of their human rights, and tend to the light of freedom, and justice, and opportunity, and respect for the dignity of all peoples. That is who we are. That is the moral source of America’s authority.”
The problem is not the “moral source of America’s authority.” It is the man in charge of America’s authority. Remember earlier when President Obama said the Iranian people “can speak for themselves?! “ We do! So why isn’t the President being asked about this?
When you’re RIGHT, you’re RIGHT and we have been Leading the way RIGHT on this part of the Obama lie for months. Back on June 24th, “>we posted…
”Obama Condemns Violence in Iran! – And on, and on…these are the headlines from the Obama press conference. Thank God for blogs like ours. The democrat party’s news division assumes (correctly) that most people didn’t see the news conference, therefore they can report whatever they want…regardless of what actually happened. The real story is that the President of the United States again
…had an opportunity to stand up and take the side of the protesters starting a revolution in the streets of Iran. He won’t even call it a revolution. He and Gibbs still call it a “debate!”
He could have sided with the millions seeking freedom and violence. He called the press conference after all, and he could have offered words of encouragement to them. He could have put Tehran on notice that we will hold them responsible for what happens to the protesters. Could have. Should have. Didn’t.
Despite the headlines cheering for Hollywood Star Barack Hugo Obama, what he did say was that the Iranian people “can speak for themselves.”
That’s the headline folks. Your U.S. President says he won’t speak up for them. After all, why should he? Let them speak for themselves….right? You know, like the lady shot in the head, Neda Soltan. Let her speak for herself. Why should Obama stick his nose in and meddle? Yes, Obama did say he thinks the violence is horrible. Yes, that is good. However, those trying to,…as he puts it…speak for themselves…are being murdered by a so-called religious government.
Okay, Mr. President. They’ll speak for themselves. And they’ll die doing it.
And then you will say?….”
He has another chance today. Fox News reports…
” Security forces and militiamen clashed with thousands of protesters shouting “death to the dictator” outside Tehran University on Monday, beating them with batons and firing tear gas on a day of nationwide student demonstrations, witnesses said. The protests were the largest in months, as university students…sought to energize the opposition…reeling under a fierce crackdown since turmoil erupted over the disputed presidential election in June. Thousands of riot police, Revolutionary Guard forces and pro-government Basij militiamen flooded the area around Tehran University since the morning, vowing to prevent any unrest from spilling out into the streets. Banners and signs bearing slogans from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blanketed the tall campus fence, hiding whatever took place inside. Cell phone networks around the universities were shut down, and police and members of the elite Revolutionary Guard surrounded all the university entrances…”
For once in your life, Mr. President sir, do what you said you would do! Speak up for these voices crying out from the dark forces of tyranny in Iran! Speak out “on behalf of their human rights!”

As an Iranian American I groan at the Irish luck of the mollas. Just when they are in serious existential danger, George Bush is gone and an islamist apologist (supporter?!) has taken his place. Not only obama will not speak up in support of the protestors, but as it'll complicate his beloved "Grand Bargain" w/ the islamist killers, he won't want none of it and will do the best he can to undermine it.
