President Barack Obama has been Commander in Chief for more than 210 days and he is rapidly approaching the 250 mark for the number of soldiers who have died under his command. It’s a betrayal to the anti-war left and a sad illustration of his broken promise to end the war in Iraq.

There was no talk during the campaign about Obama creating his own Club Gitmo prison at Bagram Air Force Base in Iraq. But that is what he has done.

There was no campaign talk of moving the Club Gitmo prison to Michigan. But that is what he is planning to do.

He made no reference to wanting his own troop surge in Afghanistan and insulted the Bush troop surge as a mistake that did not work. Still, he went ahead with his own troop surge in Afghanistan and has escalated that war and the number of our soldiers who have died in that war. Where is the anti-war left now?

Cindy Sheehan will be protesting at Obama’s $50,000 a week vacation home, but ABCDEmocrat News’s Charles Hubris Gibson says her protests are no longer newsworthy (now that his own socialist-democrat president is in power). The fake anti-war liberals are only anti-war when the republicans are in charge. They could care less about war when a democrat is building troop levels, increasing spending, and sending more body bags home.

To date, 242 brave fighting men and women have lost their lives in service to their country since January 20th, 2009. The number soon will reach 250. We thank them for their service to this great nation.

The 250 deaths mark will be just the latest sad milestone for a President who has broken his promise to end the war in Iraq, choosing instead to leave at least 50,000 troops behind.
