OJ SIMPSON - GREATEST FOOTBALL PLAYER OF OUR TIME

I was’t even going to write anything about Ted Kennedy’s passing. Obviously, Mr. Kennedy was loved by his family and friends and they will miss him. President Obama just pushed me a little too hard.

Did he have to say that Senator Kennedy, “became the greatest United States Senator of our time” ?

That’s going a just a Tad (or a Ted) too far. Would President Obama also say that “O.J. Simpson became the greatest professional football player of our time?”

The liberals can give Senator Kennedy all the praise they want. We would do the same if the tables were turned….oh, but not really, would we?

When liberals make mistakes they are treated as “personal issues” that have nothing to do with their political work and should be ignored by the public. When republicans make mistakes, the media and the left say the personal issues are all about their public life and political work and the people should be ousted in disgrace. Sometimes, republicans even oust their own problems.

I can’t speak for republicans, but Conservative Americans would note, but not applaud, the passing of a political leader who has had some very questionable history, including one incident in which his actions may have cost another person’s life. That hardly makes one great and surely means the person will never be “the greatest” anything.

This is why I didn’t even want to bring up the Kenndy death on our site. Why go over all of that again? The reason is because President Barack Obama made the disrespectful and dishonest claim that Ted Kenndy became “the greatest Senator of our time.”

It was July 18th, 1969 and I was five years old. Senator Ted Kennedy drives his car off a bridge in Chappaquiddick, Mass., and manages to escape. However, his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, drowns. Kennedy later pleads guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, a misdemeanor, and receives a two-month suspended sentence and a year’s probation.

You or I would be in prison for that…

…Kennedy’s money and power kept him out of jail. He walked away after leaving Mary Jo Kopechne under water.

When O.J. Simpson dies, will the talk be about the late Nicole Brown Simpson? Or will the President of the United States issue a statement calling OJ “the greatest football player of our time?
