Obama’s Sad Milestone: 400 Deaths

The U.S. Department of Defense announced the deaths of two more soldiers…bringing the total to 400 military deaths under the Command of President Barack Obama, 123 of which have come since he received the request from his general for more troops in Afghanistan.
The most recent two deaths reported include Mr. Cesar B. Ruiz, 26, of Texas and Mr. Jonathon M. Sylvestre, 21, of Colorado who died in a non-combat related incident. Sylvestre becomes the 400th soldier to die under the new President’s command. Spc. Jonathon M. Sylvestre, 21, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Nov. 2 in Kut, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
In prayer, we thank Cesar and Jonathon for their wonderful and brave service to our great nation. It would not be a great nation if not for men and women like these. We offer our prayers to their families.

So why keep track? Remember how the democrats kept Bush Death Counts? The willing media played along reporting each “milestone” in the death count as part of an effort to undermine support for the wars. Nightly news programs took pride in daily lists of names of soldiers and stories about the dead. These have all stopped now that their democrat is in the White House. So, we started the Obama Death Count to demonstrate the absurdity of the Bush Death Counts. We continue to get hammered for doing this by liberals who continue to fail to understand what we are doing. President Obama continues to delay and troop level decision in Afghanistan. Former Vice President Dick Cheney has accurately accused the president of “dithering.” It has been 65 days since he got the request. He’s had time for Halloween parties, Socialist ObamaCare Town Halls, and completely bungling the H1N1 vaccinations…still not time to make a decision on the request for more troops.
Each day he delays, costs the lives of more soldiers. Since General McChrystal requested additional troops, 123 soldiers have died.
It’s time to quit pushing a massive government takeover of health care and protect the lives of the brave young men and women at his command!
