The military announced yesterday the death of a 28-year-old soldier from Texas who became the 300th to die under Commander in Chief Barack H. Obama.

Sgt. David A. Davis, 28, of Dalhart, Texas, died Sept. 19 at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked Bagram Airfield using indirect fire. Sgt. Davis was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Sgt. Davis is a hero who gave his life to protect you and I. May God bless him with heavenly rewards. He was assigned to the 32nd Transportation Company, 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, of Fort Carson, Colorado.

We offer our prayers to his family and the families of all fallen soldiers. Each of them is a hero.

Commander Obama is taking heat this week for delaying a decision about sending more troops to Afghanistan. His top general is requesting 40,000 more troops and Obama says he won’t be rushed to make a decision. While he makes time to tour the TV stations to push health care, he has not made time to give his general the tools needed to get the job done. Earlier in Obama’s term, 30,000 troops were requested and he only approved 17,000. This was Obama’s first troop surge.

So, while more soldiers die, Obama puts his general on hold. Yesterday he passed the sad milestone of having 300 soldiers die under his command. And by the way, where is the anti-war left?

During the campaign, Obama promised to end the war in Iraq and bring our troops home. Instead, he is leaving at least 50,000 troops in Iraq for an unspecified amount of time. What? No Exit-Strategy? Why isn’t the left demanding one from him? They certainly did of President Bush and the media played along. Now, the media is silent. See the “Obama Broken Promise on Iraq War # 2” as #116 on the Official Obama Administration Scandals List.

There was no campaign talk of moving the Club Gitmo prison to Michigan either! But that is what he is planning to do.

There also was no talk during the campaign about Obama creating Club Gitmo prison #2 at Bagram Air Force Base in Iraq. But that is what he has done.

Candidate Obama insulted the Bush troop surge as a mistake and insisted it did not work. Slipped his mind, I guess, when he had his own troop surge in Afghanistan. The Obama Troop Surge is #109 on the Official Obama Administration Scandals List. Where is the anti-war left? Hello? Anyone? Charles Hubris Gibson says enough is enough now and he isn’t even going to cover Anti-War Bush-hating Queen Cindy Sheehan! That couldn’t be because his guy is in the White House now, could it?

These fake anti-war liberals are only anti-war when the republicans are in charge. They could care less about war when a democrat is building troop levels, increasing spending, and sending more body bags home.

Who is talking about WINNING the war?
