Monday featured Obama’s Top Ten Lies list, and Tuesday was the President’s Top Ten Broken Promises. Today, we break down the President’s top ten flip-flops of 2009!

10. Obama Even Flip-Flops on His Own Big Floppy Ears! – On December 10th, 2006 Barack Obama told Maureen Dowd to stop making fun of his big ears. From Free Republic and Rush Limbaugh: “After his speech was over he made a beeline for Maureen Dowd and the audience. The camera kept rolling…this is what he said to Maureen Dowd. OBAMA (off mic): “You talked about my ears, and I just want to put you on notice: I’m very sensitive about — What at I told them was, “I was teased relentlessly when I was a kid about my big ears.’” DOWD (purring): We’re trying to toughen you up.” – So it was off limits. Now, the democrat party’s MicroSoft-NBC (MSNBC) division has Athena Jones noting that today in Egypt Obama toured a Pyramid: “President Obama spotted another notable sight: a hieroglyphic that showed the face of a man with big ears. Obama entered the tomb and saw it right away. “That looks like me!” he said. “Look at those ears!”…A few moments later, when aides Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod and Reggie Love descended into the tomb, Obama went back over and showed them the big-eared image, sparking laughs.” So, now it is okay to make fun of his Dumbo-sized flying ears. He even flip-flops on what is okay to talk about, from his middle name to his ears!
9. Prosecuting the Bush CIA – Obama Plays Both Sides – President Obama when CIA interrogation memos were released: “I prohibited the use of these interrogation techniques…because they undermine our moral authority and do not make us safer. It is our intention to assure those who carried out their duties relying in good faith upon legal advice from the Department of Justice that they will not be subject to prosecution…because of their sacrifices, every single American is safer. We must…provide them with the confidence that they can do their jobs.” Sooooooo, at the same time the President said we’re not safer (“Do not make us safer”) AND we are safer (“every single American is safer”)!! He also initially said he was not in favor of releasing secret memos, but then he released them anyway! Following this? Caving to pressure from liberal democrat-socialists, Obama now opened the door to prosecution for some: “With respect to those who formulate those legal decisions, I would say that that is going to be more of a decision for the attorney general within the parameters of various laws, and I don’t want to prejudge that. … There are a host of very complicated issues involved there.” Things do get very complicated when you play both sides of the issue! Next, he repeated his claim that prosecuting Bush officials could get politicized, then flipped and said he would be open to those prosecutions if they were “bipartisan.” Clearly that is not possible. From Fox: “White House Press Secretary Gibbs and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel indicated over the past two days that the president did not favor opening the memos’ authors to charges. Gibbs deflected the suggestion that the president was responding to pressure from the left to support prosecutions” because now he does favor opening them to charges! This president tries to be on both sides of every issue…at the same time!

8. Flip Flop on Urgency of Health Care Reform – Just one day after offering a 21-lie salute about his Obamacare Nightmare bill, the President on July 23rd has made a major “U-turn” in his opinion. Just last night he said the urgency of getting his socialist healthcare passed right now is all those letters he supposedly has on his desk…today Fox News reports he now says it’s okay that ‘Harry Reider’ has dumped ‘the Half-Black Prince’ and said no vote will happen in ‘Washingtonwarts’ until at least the fall! And Obama claims he’s okay with that! He just got done losing his cool telling democrats against him that they are trying to “destroy my Presidency!” and now he’s ok with it??!!
7. Flip Flop on Using Scare Tactics! – President Obama today urged his supporters not to listen to those who “scare and mislead the American public.” What a huge flip flop! I guess we all need to quit listening to HIM now! Remember the scare tactics he used on the economy? This from the guy who said “economic catastrophe,” “might not ever recover,” “unable to reverse,” “create a negative spiral,” “Could become dramatically worse,” “Economic crisis could linger for years,” and on and on. ConservativeAmerican.org has been Leading the way Right on this story. Remember the scare tactics he used to pass his Deficit Stimulus Plan that he told us would keep unemployment below 8%?! Obama has made a career out of community, and now nation, agitating and uses fear and chaos as his weapons! It’s Obama Leadership by Fear that we have been talking about since before he even took office! He is the Hypocrite-in-Chief! This is an absolutely outrageous statement coming from him. He projects what he sees in the mirror onto other people! This would be like Bill Clinton encouraging men not to cheat on their wives! From Sarah Palin: “Our objections to the Democrats’ health care proposals are not mere “bickering” or “games.” They are not an attempt to “score short term political points.” And it’s hard to listen to the President lecture us not to use “scare tactics” when in the next breath he says that “more will die” if his proposals do not pass.”
6. Obama’s Health Care Tax Flip-Flop-Flip-Flop! -Candidate Obama made fun of John MaverDick McCain for being open to taxing health care benefits. He even pointed out it was on McCain’s website. Now President Obama does another flip flop according to Erica Werner at Associated Press: “Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., raised the issue with Obama during a private meeting with the president and other Democratic senators and later reported the president’s position: “It’s on the table. It’s an option.” The White House said later that Obama did not want to go that route.” So they flipped, then flopped, then flipped again. Back to the AP: “Obama spokesman Reid Cherlin said in a statement. “He stated again his belief that health reform can’t wait another year, and that while all options should be considered, those options should include the revenue proposals that he included in his budget.” …then flopped again!!
5. Obama’s Fundamentally Sound Economy Flip-Flop! After making fun of John McCain for saying the fundamentals of the economy were sound during the campaign,…and now that the economy is much worse,…the Obama ‘Pancake House’ now says the fundamentals are strong!! As Obama said in his own TV ad, how can this guy lead when he doesn’t even know there is a problem?! So How can Obama lead now?

Flip-Flop on Importance of Capturing Osama! – Politico reports: “During the presidential debates last year, Obama declared that capturing or killing Osama bin Laden “has to be our biggest national security priority.” In his first TV interview after winning the election, he said the terrorist leader was “not just a symbol. He’s also the operational leader of an organization that is planning attacks against U.S. targets,” and that the additional troops being sent to Afghanistan would hunt him down because “capturing or killing bin Laden is a critical aspect of stamping out Al Qaeda.” Bin Laden’s significance to Obama dissipated during the transition. By the time Obama gave another interview in early January, he said killing or capturing bin Laden was not necessary to “meet our goal of protecting America.” A few months later, when he announced his Afghanistan troop surge, he made no reference to the hunt for bin Laden at all!
3. Obama’s Obscene Flip-Flop on “Evil” Corporate Jets!! – Socialist President Obama spends the week spewing the evils of corporate jets used by overpaid execs, only to arrange a special jet ride for one US Senator to vote on his Porkulus bill! The Obama Administration learned Ohio Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown could not make it back to D.C. to vote because there were no seats available on commercial airlines. While execs can’t use those evil corporate Cessna Jets because they are on the public dollar, seems it’s okay for Obama-The-Hypocrite to arrange special plane rides for his pals ALSO on the public dollar!! This president is a joke. UPDATE: 2/10/9 Fox reports Obama’s head of the National Economic Council, Larry Summers, flew on Citigroup’s evil corporate jet from the Democratic National Convention in Denver back to New York last year! UPDATE: 2/24/9 Obama repeats his promise to kill the evil corporate jet. UPDATE: 3/10/9 Judicial Watch says Nancy Pelosi is abusing her private military jet and using the Air force as a private airline! Fox reported more democrat hypocrisy saying Pelosi aide Kay King emailed the air force to complain about the types of planes they were allowing Pelosi to use: “It is my understanding there are NO G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable … The Speaker will want to know where the planes are.” UPDATE 5/30/09: Capitalism takes a corporate jet out of town for Obama’s Date Night! The first couple jetted to New York City for date night; dining and a Broadway play. Fox News reported: “The White House refused to say how much the trip was costing taxpayers…the there-and-back trip drew criticism from Republicans. They questioned the president’s decision to travel to New York for a night of entertainment during a recession and while automakers struggle to survive. It was just a few months ago that auto executives were roundly criticized when they traveled to Washington for congressional hearings in pricey private planes! UPDATE 8/6/9: Jay Levin at CBS TV in Chicago reports on congressional hypocrisy: “In these tough times, everyone’s cutting back on travel expenses. Everyone, except maybe Congress. Your lawmakers just signed off on buying three new Gulfstream jets…a $200 million price tag…that’s how much members of Congress, who preside over an economy every bit as shaky as the companies they’re bailing out, have decided to spend for their own comfort and convenience…In one hangar alone, more than $60 million worth of aircraft, owned by a well-known Chicago corporation, sits idle far more of the time this year than in the past. The reason? “When average working people see an executive using an airplane, and they hear Congress and the president talking about fat cats, you become one and the same,” said Charles Priester of Priester Aviation. Remember the congressional hearing where auto execs flew in on their corporate jets to beg for bailouts? “It’s almost like seeing a guy show up at the soup kitchen in a high hat and tuxedo,” said New York Rep. Gary Ackerman in November 2008. Pretty tough talk from lawmakers who we’ve now learned have just authorized buying three of these $65-million Gulfstream 550 jets to fly them and other government officials around the country and the world.”

Obama & The Liberals Show Their Dishonesty with a Darfur Flip-Flop! – In an exclusive story at ConservativeAmerican.org, it is reported that Barack Obama’s new policy on dealing with Darfur and the Sudan is in direct conflict with the views of his U.N. Ambassador, the self-described “cussing and spitting” Susan Rice. Rice wants Congress to authorize the use of force to end genocide in Darfur, including strikes against Sudanese military locations. To make that clear, she wants US military troops to be ready to attack forces taking part in genocide. She also is asking Obama to use the US Air Force to enforce a no fly zone over Darfur. There’s more! Rice also wants NATO’s rapid response team and rapid deployment of UN Military Batallions! Meanwhile, The Washington Post reports 9/29/9 that President Obama has a new challenge: reconciling what he has said about Sudan and the situation in Darfur, with what he is actually doing about it!…becoming a test of how President Obama will reconcile a policy of engagement with earlier statements blasting a government he said had “offended the standards of our common humanity.”…U.S. diplomacy has remained mostly in the hands of Obama’s special envoy to Sudan, retired Air Force Maj. Gen. J. Scott Gration, who is pushing toward normalized relations with the only country in the world led by a president indicted on war-crimes charges” –ConservativeAmerican.org notes: I thought you lefties that were against the Iraq war wanted us to get in Darfur right away! Well, where are your liberal friends now?! Not in the White House!

And the number one flip-flop of the year from President Barack Obama is…

1. Obama’s Big Troop Surge Flip-Flop! – This has to be number one on the list! Candidate (& Senator) Barack Obama was very vocal about how awful troop surges were! He stood firm in insisting the Bush surge was a mistake and only (sort of) admitted to Katie Couric that surges actually worked after a good deal of badgering by her. Now (2/18/9), that he isn’t playing politics on TV anymore and actually has the job (wonder if he realizes that yet?), he has suddenly changed his tune! He added 17,000 more troops to the fight in Afghanistan. Despite the fact his generals asked for 30,000 troops, this is indeed an Obama Troop Surge. Now that there is an Obama Troop Surge, they suddenly are a good idea! The mainstream media is not even talking about this. UPDATE 2/20/9: Fox News followed our lead and did start talking about it 2 days later! – UPDATE 12/1/9: Now he has his second Afghan War troop surge! Obama is again using the Bush troop surge strategy to send another 30,000 to Afghanistan. Hypocrisy on parade!
