The Obama Gap
President Obama is worried about the “confidence gap” the public has over his huge increase in the size of the federal government and in government spending. Now that’s just laughable.
So he holds a cabinet meeting yesterday and says he’ll address that confidence gap by pretending to be a budget-cutter. It’s what we call The Barack Obama Pattern: Say one thing, do the other, then announce you really do plan to do the first thing from here on out. Gag.
Campaigning and even addressing congress he promised to get rid of government programs that don’t work and cut out that spending, then he proposes the biggest increase in government spending ever, now he asks his cabinet to cut $100-million in spending.
He wants to increase the size of government to $4-Trillion a year, and asked for a cut FROM HIS HUGE BUDGET REQUEST of 1/35,000th of the amount he wants to spend.
Let’s put that in terms we can all understand. Let’s say a nice car costs $16,000. Now, perhaps you think that is too much money to spend on a car. So you loudly tell everyone that is too much to spend on a car. Then, you would need to follow that by proposing that you buy a car for $35,000. When people reacted to your talking out of both sides of your mouth by giving you a “Confidence gap,” you then announce you will reduce the amount of your $35,000 proposed car budget $1. It is absolutely meaningless. Meaningless unless you have pals at MSNBC, C-BS (C for Couric, and the rest for BS), ABCDEmocrat News and NBC who will all say that you have “announced major spending cuts in your budget.” This is nonsense. It’s not a cut for you to spend more than double what was previously the norm for a nice car.
Likewise, President Barack Obama is not a budget cutter. President Obama is the biggest spender we have ever had. Simply announcing that he’ll be cutting millions from his huge increase of Trillions, does not mean he is cutting spending!!! It still is an increase of Trillions.
Don’t fall for this!
