Underground Democrats Get Nasty

Getting nasty at the ultra-liberal Democratic Underground website is nothing new. This time one of their “posters” decided to go after our Obama Death Count story and our list of soldiers who have died since January 20th, 2009. I guess we hit a little bit too close to home for them. The truth hurts!

Our January post, written days after the inauguration, pointed out the stupidity of the Bush Death Counts the left kept. It clearly states we are using the absurd (an Obama Death Count) to demonstrate the absurdity of THEIR WAYS! They can’t seem to get that though. They think we are somehow trying to pin the Iraq war on Obama. It seems reading is a problem for some on the left. This post continues to be misunderstood. So be it. Their hatred for George W. Bush blinds them (I should point out to our readers on the left that we have blasted Bush on this website too for his big spending and slippery steps into socialism at the end of his term).
The initial complaint in Democratic Underground’s foul-mouthed post is that we have advertisements that appear on the page that lists the names of all soldiers who have died since Obama took office (this is the page Mark Levin talks about). Interesting. While we do have Google Adsense ads on every page, some of the other ads we put on FREE OF CHARGE…for things like Stars & Stripes Honor Flights which pays to send WWII vets to see the WWII monument in D.C. Gosh, I guess that’s just awful!
Then there’s that awful and disgusting ad for the VFW Operation Uplink that we put on FREE OF CHARGE…that’s to help soldiers call home. Terrible, eh?

The one that really upset them was the ad for our bookstore featuring (God forbid) Sarah Palin’s new book! They think we’re awful for having that kind of an ad in the middle of a list thanking soldiers for their service. On the list, we also ask for donations to our website to help keep the list going. There’s even an ad right here in this post! How could we?

“Here is the sickness of the right wing heart. Listing the soldiers who have died since 1/20/09, complete with advertisements in between the names. After the 317th soldier is listed there is a picture of Sarah Palin’s book cover with a link to their book store. After 400, a donate to the site click. As if Obama started the da** war in Iraq under false pretenses. F***ing bas****s.”
We had to add the *’s to clean up their hatred. BTW, they have a donation button at the top right of this page where they discuss our post. When I visited, within the post containing the words “F***ing bas****s” was an ad for The University of Wisconsin’s American Family Children’s Hospital featuring the face of a cute little kid, who hopefully has not heard these words yet. No class at all. Click here to let the Hospital know you don’t think its very good for them to advertise on such a filthy site!
The “Fuzz” who posted his hatred also breaks Democratic Underground’s own rules. While Mr. Fuzz links to our list, he then copies the entire Obama Death Count article and reprints it at Democratic Underground without permission and without a link to that story. Democrat Underground’s rules state:
“We have a team of volunteer moderators who delete posts and ban disruptors. Members are strongly urged to familiarize themselves with our rules, and make an effort to become a positive member of our community. Those who do not risk having their posts deleted or their posting privileges revoked…Civility: Treat other members with respect. Do not post personal attacks…Content: Do not post messages that are inflammatory, extreme, divisive, incoherent, or otherwise inappropriate. Do not engage in anti-social, disruptive, or trolling behavior…Copyrights: Do not copy-and-paste entire articles onto this discussion forum. When referencing copyrighted work, post a short excerpt (not exceeding 4 paragraphs) with a link back to the original.”
Clearly they have posted inappropriate personal attacks with the anti-social name-calling and they have cut and pasted our entire article without the link. We’ll see if the moderators do anything about it. I’m not holding my breath.
