Obama Economy Lie

#91 on the Scandals List is a Whopper!

Another Day, another lie. The real news would be if we could go a day without this guy telling a huge lie that goes unchecked by the media.  All of the sudden Mr. Smiles claims he has always been positive about the economy.  I know, I know, I can’t stomach this guy either. This likely is his biggest lie ever.   Here’s today’s solid bull-feces:

“I’ve never bought into these Malthusian, woe, Chicken Little, the earth is falling. I tend to be pretty optimistic, I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t pretty optimistic.”

Mr. President, with all due respect sir, that is a blatant lie.  (oh, and by the way it’s “the sky” falling not the “earth”…he can’t even get the saying right). You were nothing but woe and doom and gloom until Uncle Billy Bob Clinton suggested you better stop.  From February 23rd: “Even Billy Bob Clinton and his mouth agreed last week that Obama should stop being so “negative about the economy.” So now King Obama proclaims to a democrat press that he has never been about “Chicken Little”-the-sky-is-falling economics, or leadership by fear!!!!  On February 9th, the Associated Democrat Press even asked his Majesty, the socialist King why he was so darn negative all the time. They asked..”What makes him think “the economic crisis could turn into a catastrophe the nation would be unable to reverse” when such problems have always been overcome in the past? President Obama never answered the question. He did not explain what makes him use language like “unable to reverse” and “might not ever recover,” when these things are not true.” Instead on that day, he offered some “optimism” (yes we’re being sarcastic):

“He said: The current situation could “potentially create a negative spiral that would be much more difficult to get out of.”

Still, he didn’t put on his magical Cinderella-Obamarella slipper and suddenly see the world in a new, brighter light until February 23rd.

“He changed from “economic catastrophe” and “might not ever recover” to dancing with Cinderella at the ball and singing that we suddenly “will rebuild and we will recover.”  It was like magic! Poof! The new Obama.”

Leading the way Right, we reported about the Economic Sky is Falling, Chicken-Little Strategy way back on September 30th, 2008:

“Now the white house and congress are trying to tell us the Economic Sky is Falling. Nancy Chicken Little Pelosi thinks Americans are so stupid that she can get away with blaming the republicans for the bailout bill failing, when at the same time she told more than one dozen democrats (all facing tough elections) to vote NO on the bill!”

A few days later, the Bush-Paulson team adopted the Chicken Little approach.  In early December, we told you Bush-Paulson was using the “leadership by fear” tactic.  Obama copied that leadership by fear technique barely a month later.  Odd how he has become exactly what he told us McCain would become if he won: a 3rd Bush Term.  From January 8th:

In short, a bad situation could become dramatically worse.”

-Barack Obama, Leadership by Fear

“The economic crisis could linger for years.”

-Barack Obama, Encouraging the stock market

“Unemployment could reach double digits.”

Barack Obama, Encouraging and Leading the Workforce

“The nation could lose a generation of potential & promise.”

Barack Obama, Setting A Course for the Future

“We could have Trillion dollar deficits for years to come.”

-Barack Obama on his deficit stimulus plan

And now today, #91 on the Official Obama Administration Scandals List, speaking to CEO’s like the one from Citigroup who asked him to be a bit more positive about the economy, he offers perhaps his biggest lie yet:

“I’ve never bought into these Malthusian, woe, Chicken Little, the earth is falling. I tend to be pretty optimistic, I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t pretty optimistic.”
