With Obama, Sexism is Okay
Remember all the talk about how lousy it was that Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin had to deal with questions that a man would never be asked? There were stories about Hillary’s blouse being a bit too “open” and about Sarah Palin being a beauty queen. They asked if Palin really could be a good Mom to five kids if she was trying to be Vice President. We thought the liberals liked women who worked?? In any event, both sides cried foul when women were asked questions men would never have to face.
The attention today is all going to the “sexy” Barack Obama beach pictures. The left wing media think it is just fine to talk about how handsome Obama seems to some. Way out of line though to talk about what a Babe Sarah Palin is.
Apparently it is fine to say Obama is “fit for office.” They talk all about his body and no one is offended. It’s fine. It fits the mold. It makes him more, Hollywood-ish, more famous. Is it also fine then to take pictures of Palin campaigning that only showed her legs? Feminists who were upset with the unfair treatment she was given should be up in arms over this Obama photo scandal. They should re-print their posts and articles about how sexism has no place in politics. Shouldn’t they?
Seems odd to us that Palin was “just” a Beauty Queen (implication that she is all just good looks and no brains) and Obama is a “hunk” but he has brains see. Only because elite coastal liberals THINK Obama has brains with braun. Well, is it okay then for us to think Palin has brains to go with her bra-on?
The drooling over Obama-Bod is making us sick to our stomachs today.

I think one of the more disgustingly “stand-out” moments of the entire campaign for me was to see Barbara Walters in a Fox clip (I’d never watch the show myself) with her “The View” liberal girls giggling and telling Obama how sexy they think he is. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They’re just as perverted as David Letterman with his lecherous comments about Sarah Palin or Chris Matthews with his “thrill up his leg” Obama devotion!

I’ve got a problem with either Liberals or Conservatives focusing on these topics. What is really important is what policies government officials and candidates advocate and what their political beliefs are. But since the media is obsessed with these types of stories, they won’t fade away. There should be equal standards if media has to report these things, though. Men and women should be asked the same questions and the same topics should be newsworthy relevant to each political figure.
