Reid Denies Taped Evidence
Harry Reid-er today told NBC’s “Meet the Democrat Press” that he does not remember his phone call with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich about who should replace Barack Obama in the US Senate. Reider also indicated he does not remember if he offered any names of people who would be good.
That’s a pretty lousy memory for something that happened just a few weeks ago! However, Reid is getting older. I do remember the democrats pointing out that old guys like McCain (and Reid) could drop dead at any minute. Maybe that explains it.
However, Reid says he DOES remember that he did NOT offer any names of people who should NOT take the Obama senate seat. My mother calls that kind of thing “selective hearing loss.”
Reid is involved in this Obama administration scandal. The Chicago Tribune says he did, in fact, tell Blago not to appoint three men, all of whom were black.
How does Reid explain the difference in the two stories? He says Blago is just making all that stuff up and that it never happened.
The federal prosecutor has tapes of the phone conversation between Blago and Reid. We can quickly find out who is telling the truth if the prosecutor would just release the tape of that call or a transcript of that call. Don’t hold your breath, however. The prosecutor is a democrat hoping for an Obama re-appointment.
