Branches of Conservatism

There are not different branches of the conservative movement.  That’s what we have been saying for months now.

Those attempting to divide the conservative movement are not helping it all.   Author Michael Levin agrees. Michael Lavin has been giving interviews about his new book “Liberty & Tyranny…a Conservative Manifesto.

Recently he said there are those who claim to be conservative and yet want to bring us down.  They want a new conservatism (Kristol), preach Reagan-Era conservatism is dead (Gingrich) and want to divide conservatives into social conservatives (which they really want to dump) and fiscal conservatives.  Levin says there is only one conservative movement and he explains what it is all about in his new book.

You can buy the book here from our Conservative Book Store.  Levin’s book is on sale.  Levin says its important for conservatives to stress that rights come from God, not government.  ”The Declaration of Independence talks about unalienable rights and these come from natural law, from God.”  He warns of the new state-ists who feel rights can only come from government.  These state-ists like President Obama want you to surrender your independence to the state and sacrifice your freedom for the “community”/government good.

Levin says conservatives must challenge both the language and content of these state-ists who reject the founding principles of our great nation.  “They reject the Constitution and this is what we’re up against.” Join conservatives online daily at ConservativeAmerican.org.
