Obama is not even in office yet and he already has numerous scandals and is making loyal democrat constituencies mad at him.  Fox News says the latest pair he has ticked off are leaders in his own party upset with him over selecting Clinton Chief of Staff Leon Panetta to run the CIA.

“Taken by surprise was Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., incoming chairwoman of the Select Senate Intelligence Committee. “I was not informed about the selection of Leon Panetta to be the CIA director. I know nothing about this, other than what I’ve read. My position has consistently been that I believe the agency is best-served by having an intelligence professional in charge at this time,” Feinstein said in a written statement. A spokesman said Feinstein had not received a phone call about Panetta from anyone in the Obama camp and first learned about the decision from news reports… FOX News has learned that outgoing Intelligence Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., does not approve of the Panetta pick either.”

They’ll have to get in line to complain to Obama.  This guy has a lousy track record of picking good friends and an ability to upset people.  His Chicago-style political game may not work in Washington, D.C.

Five of the six candidates who want to be the next Republican National Committee Chair (see our story reviewing all of them: Candidates Review) agreed on one thing at a debate tonight broadcast on the internet.

The five potential GOP Chairs said the party needs to stand strong against the stupid bailouts that have already been approved and any future bailouts.  ABC’s “The Note” reports:

“The bailout was a bust. It should never have happened. Republicans should have had a little bit more you-know-what to withstand the pressure. They didn’t and we’re paying for it. I absolutely support the resolution because it reflects the frustration of our base,” said former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele. The candidates for R.N.C. chair were asked for their positions on the bailout resolution by debate moderator Grover Norquist who heads Americans for Tax Reform, a conservative anti-tax group.“

Thank God for some common sense from these men.  A resolution under consideration by the RNC opposes “the bailout of the financial industry and their nationalization…It opposes the bailout and nationalization of the auto industry, and it opposes any future bailouts including Obama’s public works projects which amount to a bailout of cities and states because they would have the federal taxpayer assume the responsibility to pay for all the state and local public works projects.”

Current RNC Chair, Mike Duncan was the only one who did not immediately support the resolution.  He said it was not the kind of thing you could just give a yes or a no to.  Huh? Sounds like Obama’s answer on abortion.  Duncan needs to go.

Candidates for RNC chair can put the party back on the conservative American track.  The six include: Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis, South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Katon Dawson, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, former Huckabee campaign manager Chip Saltsman, and current RNC Chair Mike Duncan.

We have endorsed Saul Anuzis and we put Ken Blackwell in a very strong second.  The others all have some strikes against them, especially Duncan.

The insane liberal nuts at NBC so-called News have a “slideshow” on their homepage they call “Young Lives Cut Short.”  The contents?  It features shots of dead Palestinians.  The point? They want their audience to conclude Israel must be awful for doing this to those “young” Palestinian terrorists.  Give me a freaking break.  Did the socialist NBC network ever run pics of all the Israeli bomb attacks and call it “Young Lives Destroyed by Palestine?”  Of course not.  That would not fit their pre-conceived liberal nonsense.

I am fuming on this one.

The Official list of Obama Administration Scandals

1. Jeremiah Wright Obama Scandal - Obama pledges never to disown his pastor despite Rev. Wright’s anti-American and racist rants available on YouTube. Wright asks God during a service to condemn America. Days after the news broke, Obama tosses Wright under the bus along with his white grandmother in a clumsily handled press conference on racial relations.

3. Tony Rezko Obama Scandal - Obama is able to buy a great house in a nice neighborhood at a great price with the help of the indicted political fundraiser Tony Rezko. Rezko buys the lot next door and then sells it to Obama for far less than it’s value. Obama admits not handling that one properly.
4. Bill Ayers Obama Scandal - Three times before the cock crows, Obama denies have a “relationship” with Bill Ayers. Obama started his political career in Ayers’ home. Obama served on an foundation’s education board with Bill Ayers. Bill Ayers is a home-grown terrorist and founder of the Weather Underground which bombed the pentagon and people’s homes. His wife also used to work with Michelle Obama. However, Obama maintains Terrorist Ayers is “just a guy in my neighborhood.”
5. Emil Jones Obama Scandal - Jones has been called Obama’s political Godfather, the man who taught Obama all he knows. Jones “is known for steering state money to a few favored institutions, including some that employ his relatives. Several of his relatives have gotten state jobs, and his wife’s government salary jumped 60 percent after he became Senate president. He has played an important role in blocking ethics legislation in Illinois.” (Source AP)
6. Rashid Khalidi Obama Scandal - Another terrorist friend of Barack Obama. Khalidi was an advisor to the PLO. They had dinner together, Obama served on a board with Khalidi, and Khalidi held fundraisers for Obama. Jesse Jackson Sr. promised one audience that the Jewish influence on American foreign policy would soon come to an end with an Obama victory.
7. Obama Books Scandal - Obama wrote in his own book, “I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and the Structural Feminists.” Yeah, he chooses his friends carefully. See the first six scandals on our list.
8. Obama Family Scandal - Turns out Obama’s Aunt is here in the United States as an Illegal! Also, while preaching at his acceptance speech about looking out for your brother, Obama leaves his own half-brother to live in a hut in Africa. The “change we can believe in” apparently is in the family values category.
9. Scandal: Obama Insults Nancy Reagan - Obama said “I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances.” It was a reference to Nancy Reagan talking with Astrologers while she was living in the White House. Smooth.
10. Obama Lied - Smoking Scandal - Obama said that he had quit smoking when, in fact, he had not. Obama lied to the American people about an issue that takes thousands of lives each year. He promises not to smoke in the White House though.
11. Obama Appointment Scandal # 1 Military - Robert Gates - Obama gets in big trouble with Code Pink and Moveon for keeping Bush defense secretary Robert Gates and more than 150 of the 250 political appointees at the Pentagon. Liberals mad at Obama suggest there might not be any change they can believe in.
12. Obama Appointment Scandal # 2 Bill Richardson - Gov. Bill Richardson removes himself from the running to be US Commerce Secretary, supposedly because of an on-going investigation into a possible “pay-for-play” deal in Richardson’s state. However, the Obama camp knew about that before it named him as its nominee to the post. So the real deal is?
13. Obama Appointment Scandal # 3 Susan Rice - Susan Rice, soon to be nominated for UN Ambassador, wants US troops to attack the Sudanese military, she wants US troops to join with UN forces on the ground in Darfur, and the US Air Force to enforce a no fly zone over Darfur. Rice is immature and dangerous to be placed in such a position of authority by a man, Obama, who has demonstrated time and time again that he is a VERY poor judge of character. Rice is a far left blogger who calls conservatives “hacks” and says she “cussed and spat” when George W. Bush spoke of Iraq. She actually believes George Bush deliberately decided not to protect from terrorists, states which voted democrat!
14. Obama Senate Seat Scandal # 1 Blagojevich Sells Seat - Illinois Governor Rod Blagojeich, elected with help from US Senator Barack Obama who said Blago ran “a sound administration”, is arrested for trying to sell Obama’s vacant US Senate seat to the highest bidder. For weeks, Obama basically has no comment. Just before Christmas he announces his staff did nothing improper. Both Obama and Blago have ties to Tony Rezko.
15. Obama Senate Seat Scandal # 2 Rahm-Rod-ing Valerie Jarrett - As scandal breaks about filling Obama’s vacant US Senate Seat, word leaks out that Obama point man Rahm Emanuel tried to shove Valerie Jarrett down Rod Blagojevich’s throat. With no promised reward for Blago, the Illinois Governor told the new Prez, “No deal!”
16. Obama Senate Seat Scandal # 3 Reid Reportedly Says No Blacks - The Chicago Tribune runs a story saying Harry Reid called Blago to tell him not to appoint three different men to the Obama senate seat, all of whom are black. Reid reportedly suggests two white people instead.
17. Obama Inauguration Scandal - Some esitamtes put the Barack Obama Coronation price-tag at $100-million! So big spending on the next CEO of our nation is okay, but other CEO’s have to skip the spa’s and the private plane rides? Blatant Hypocrisy.

US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid-er today told NBC’s “Meet the Democrat Press” that he does not remember his phone call with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich about who should replace Barack Obama in the US Senate.  Reider also indicated he does not remember if he offered any names of people who would be good.

That’s a pretty lousy memory for something that happened just a few weeks ago!  However, Reid is getting older.  I do remember the democrats pointing out that old guys like McCain (and Reid) could drop dead at any minute.  Maybe that explains it.

However, Reid says he DOES remember that he did NOT offer any names of people who should NOT take the Obama senate seat.  My mother calls that kind of thing “selective hearing loss.”

Reid is involved in this Obama administration scandal.  The Chicago Tribune says he did, in fact, tell Blago not to appoint three men, all of whom were black.

How does Reid explain the difference in the two stories?  He says Blago is just making all that stuff up and that it never happened.

The federal prosecutor has tapes of the phone conversation between Blago and Reid.  We can quickly find out who is telling the truth if the prosecutor would just release the tape of that call or a transcript of that call.  Don’t hold your breath, however.  The prosecutor is a democrat hoping for an Obama re-appointment.

Where the Heck is US Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) in all of this scandal about filling Barack Obama’s old senate seat?

Durbin has said VERY LITTLE about any of this.  He was reportedly upset about the situation before the news even broke, because Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich took 12 days to return Durbin’s phone call.   Durbin apparently wanted to make sure his opinion was considered when a decision was made.

The H.R. Huff-n-Stuff Post reported on November 24th:

“Senator Dick Durbin finally spoke with Gov. Blagojevich about President-elect Obama’s Senate replacement, according to a comment from a Durbin staffer to Capitol Fax. Durbin, who has an uneasy relationship with Blagojevich, had publicly expressed his frustration that the governor had not been returning his calls.”

Yeah.  Who does Blago think he is not to return Dick Durbin’s calls?  Durbin was quick to return the political mistreatment when Blago was arrested.  From NBC News reporter Carrie Dann on December 9th:

“Sen. Dick Durbin…called today for a special election to fill Barack Obama’s Senate seat, saying that “no appointment could produce a credible replacement” in light of this morning’s arrest of Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Durbin says he spoke with a member of the state’s general assembly this morning, urging the legislature to enact a law calling for a special election and saying that a “tainted” appointment by the governor…would be unacceptable.  “I think it’s the only way out at this point,”  Durbin said…he hoped the Illinois legislature would put together a bill with a bipartisan supermajority, implying that resistance from the governor could be possible. “Most executives don’t like to give up any power,” he said.  Durbin also lamented what he described as a strained relationship with the governor of his state, calling him a “difficult man to communicate with” who dallied for 12 days before returning Durbin’s phone call last month in regard to the Senate appointment. ”

Sure sounds like poor Mr. Durbin had his feelings hurt. Does the US Prosecutor’s office have tapes of the call between Blago and Durbin? What did Durbin say?  Did Durbin, as US Senate Majority Whip, urge Blago NOT to appoint one of three black men as Harry Reid reportedly did?  Did Durbin also suggest Lisa Madigan as Reid did?  Why isn’t the press asking Durbin more about this?

Durbin may soon have more than his feelings hurt. FOX NEWS reports:

“William Walls of the Committee for a Better Chicago called Harry Reid’s opposition to the appointment of Jackson, Davis or Jones, all of whom are black, an act of racism. “The U.S. Senate is an institution that is primarily white and has been forever and some people are more comfortable with people of their own kind,” Walls told FOXNews.com. “Harry Reid seems to be one of those people.” Walls has vowed to rally activists in an effort to politically defeat Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin and Secretary of State Jesse White if they don’t support Blagojevich’s appointment  for the seat, Roland Burris.”

The Hill.com is reporting that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is the favorite today to be the GOP Presidential nominee in 2012. The Hill reports:

“Superbook.com puts Palin’s odds at 3.5-1, the best among Republican hopefuls….Romney 4-to-1,… Huckabee 5-to-1…and Jindal 6-to-1.”

Florida’s Charlie Crist, former speaker Newt Gingrich and South Carolina’s Mark Sanford are each listed at 12-to-1.   Please God, not Newt Gingrich and his “new conservatism.”   We need traditional conservative Americans running for office.

ConservativeAmerican.org is not yet convinced it would be wise for Palin to run in 2012.  We need to wait to determine how popular Obama is first.  If he seems unbeatable (afterall, Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush will let everyone know they are racists if they vote against Obama), then Palin should wait for the 2016 race.  It’s waaaaaaaaaaay too early for this kind of who should run talk anyway.  It’s fun though.

Barack Obama has yet to take office and already there several scandals surrounding people close to him and the friends he picks.  As another example of the Democrat “Culture of Corruption,” Gov. Bill Richardson today took himself out of the running to be Obama’s Commerce Secretary.  Michael Shear of the Washington Post reports there is an on-going investigation into Richardson and possible “pay-to-play” scandals.

Shear’s story reports:

“The importance of the inquiry was apparently dismissed when Richardson was first nominated. But it may have taken on more weight in light of the “pay-to-play” allegations involving Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.”

While Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was teased for saying, “You Betcha!”, Caroline Kennedy apparently has her own vocabulary problem.  News Blaze.com is reporting Kennedy, ya’ know, just has to, ya’ know, say “Ya’ know” quite often.  From the News Blaze:

“By the count of the New York Daily News, Caroline Kennedy used the phrase ‘you know’ two hundred times in an interview with the Daily News, a hundred and thirty times in an interview with the New York Times, and eighty times in an interview with TV station New York.” That totals 410 “you knows.”

Kennedy could wind up, ya know, being Palin’s opponent in a 2016 Presidential race.  It could happen.  You betcha.

Harry Reider reportedly urged Blago NOT to appoint several black people to the post including Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., Congressman Danny Davis and Obama friend Emil Jones.   Instead Harry Reider urged the Blago Wizard to use his magic to appoint one of several white people including Lisa Madigan.  Fox Reports:

Sen. John Cornyn, R-TX, said Reid needs to explain his actions.Reid “took the extraordinary step to lobby against two sitting U.S. congressmen and the state Senate majority leader in Illinois, and instead told Gov. Blagojevich that he supported an appointment for an individual who recently lost a U.S. House election,” he said in a written statement, referring to Duckworth. “The people of Illinois deserve a simple explanation from Sen. Reid,” he continued. “Why does he believe these three Illinois officeholders are ‘unelectable’ to the U.S. Senate?”
