Soldiers Who Have Died Since 1/20/2009

To honor our brave men and women in the military, we list below the names of the fallen. This post identifies these wonderful souls by name, listing the heroes who sacrificed everything for you and I. This is the list author and Conservative American talk radio star Mark Levin spoke of and listed on his website. They gave their lives to protect and preserve our freedom. We thank them, we remember them and we honor them. Unlike other lists you may see, our list includes deaths from both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars as well as other military deaths (including those killed at Fort Hood, Texas).

NOTE: ConservativeAmerican.org also hosts the controversial “Obama Death Count” (which people continue to misunderstand), a running tabulation of the brave men and women who have lost their lives serving in the military since the inauguration of President Barack Obama. One request please: Out of respect to the fallen, this post is not a place to debate the count itself and it is not a place to debate politics. If you’d like to do that, please visit the political post which explains why we are keeping count. You can do that by clicking here. Thank you.

We offer our gratitude in prayerful thanksgiving to:

  508. , died Feb. 10 in Baghdad, of injuries sustained while supporting combat operations. She was assigned to the 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd Military Police Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. — NOTE: We originally reported that Alvarez was the 500th soldier to die under the Command of President Barack H. Obama. This is because we had reported on the February 9th death of Adam J. Ray and had received a report of another death of a U.S. Soldier on the 9th. It now (2/17/2010) appears these two stories were, in fact, one and the same. That would make Adam J. Ray the 498th to die under Commander Obama and Adriana Alvarez the 499th.

Because the following three soldiers died in the same attack, it is not possible to single out one of them as having been the 500th death under President Barack H. Obama. It is fair to say, however, that these three were the 500th, 501st and 502nd deaths since President Obama was sworn in.

  1. Marilyn Sherman Says:

We are truly indebted to all of these brave men and women. It is heartbreaking to try and comprehend the insanity of this administration that dismisses just how great our military is and the price they pay for our freedom on a daily basis. May God Bless Each and Everyone of our Military. Sincerely, Marilyn Sherman

  7. Does President Obama Deserve the Nobel Peace Prize? « PastorBlastor Says:

[...] Yep, sounds like he truly did a lot of stuff for world peace… and how many soldiers have died in Afghanistan since President Peace Maker has taken office? Why over 350 and 43 of those came when he deemed himself to be too busy to speak with his general on the ground for over two (70 days) of those months!  (See: http://conservativeamerican.org/military/soldiers-who-have-died-since-1202009/) [...]

  16. Official Obama Administration Scandals List - Page 18 851-900 | Conservative American Says:

[...] Obama Makes Up ‘Facts’ Again? 12/1/9 In a bizarre claim, the President said there has not been any delay in his decision. He made the new claim that he never received a request for more troops to be added prior to 2010 anyway. While the request was made earlier, he now claims it was for sending additional troops in 2010 instead of right away. If true, why didn’t the administration point that out long ago rather than just take the delay beating and the dithering comments? He waited 93 days since the request for more troops came in to make up his mind. 162 soldiers died in those 93 days. Since the President took office, there have been 439 military deaths (as of 11/30/09…click for latest number). [...]

  19. Lauren Says:

My heart goes out to both the families of the fallen soldiers and the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians who have died. But I have to ask: Why does this list begin in 2009? Why does it ignore the soliders who were killed before that? Why does it ignore those who have died since 2003 when Bush declared "Mission Accomplished." To use the names who have been killed for some kind of political gain is absolutely disgraceful. Shame on you ALL.

  20. PeterAndrew Says:

Shame on you for not reading the story that explains the answer to your question. It clearly is mentioned at the top of this post and it is one click away. The only shame here is on the part of those who kept their nasty fake-anti-war Bush Death Counts. If you choose to ignore that, that's your problem. The only one who used this for political gain was the democrats in their anti-Bush efforts. If you believe what you said and you read what I wrote, then you also are a fraud.

  22. SGT Tropic Lightning Says:

    I am APPALLED…
I am a Conservative War Veteran thats served with the 25th Infantry Division in Afghanistan and the 4th Infantry Division in Iraq, and I find it very hypocritical that the same people who supported our past commander in chief are counting casualties and linking them to the current CIC as if these operations were something that he started. Truly a disgrace to all of us Soldiers that you would use our deaths as political fuel. It was disgraceful when Democrats did it to Bush and its disgraceful when YOU are doing it on this website. We are AMERICANS and this is very unproductive. I did not vote for Obama, but I have all the respect in the world for his job and his office and though I disagree with his politics. Blaming our Casualties on him is way over the top and disgusting.

  23. Amy Says:

Do you add these types of soldier deaths to the post? It is still all related to the war.

Carson soldiers killed in weekend crash identified
    February 15, 2010 4:57 PM
    CARLYN RAY MITCHELL
Two Fort Carson soldiers killed in a crash early Saturday have been identified by the post as Pfc. Pawl S. Serafin, 28 of Hillsborough, N.J., and Spc. Kale D. Clay , 23 of Boise, Idaho.
Serafin and Clay were passengers in an Audi driven by another soldier, who was critically injured.
Serafin and Clay were pronounced dead at the scene and the Audi driver was taken to Memorial Hospital. The driver of the truck also was seriously injured and hospitalized. The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries.Serafin had been in the Army less than a year and came to Fort Carson in November.
Clay served an 11-month tour in Iraq and was an Army Commendation Medal recipient.
Both were cannon operators with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team’s 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment.

  24. PeterAndrew Says:

We are doing no such "linking" as you incorrectly suggest. You need to actually read what we wrote and read the Obama Death Count post. I thank you for your great service to this nation. It does seem, and I could be wrong, that your hypocrisy is showing. It isn't me using "deaths as political fuel." The point you are making here is MY ENTIRE POINT!! It was the left that used them as political fuel. If my post has helped you to realize that, then good. It is far from disgraceful to point out the absurdity of the Bush Death Counts. You agree with me on that. I am not blaming a single casualty on Obama nor did I blame one on Bush. I urge you to actually read what I wrote before making such incorrect accusations. Thank you again for all you have done in service to our nation.

  25. PeterAndrew Says:

Thank you for submitting this information. We grieve the loss of any and all in our military who die while in service to this great nation. Our list is based on DOD press releases sent to us. Thank you for sharing information with us about Pawl Serafin and Kale Clay.
