Feinstein’s Revenge

Senator Feinstein

Senator Feinstein

One thing we have learned in the last two weeks is that US Senators don’t like having their feelings (or egos) hurt.  First Governor Rod Blagojevich of Illinois waited 12 days to call Dick Durbin back (how dare he?) and now Durbin, Reid and Obama won’t seat Roland Burris.  Then, Obama announced he wanted Clinton man Leon Panetta to run the CIA without telling the incoming chair of the US Senate Intelligence (??) Committee, Diane Feinstein (D-CA).   She let everyone in the world know yesterday that not only was she upset with Obama, but there was no way she would support Panetta. Obama called her to apologize today.  Too late. Feinstein had her revenge planned.  She announced that she is in favor of seating US Senator Roland Burris of Illinois!  She told Durbin, Harry Reid-er AND the Half-Black Prince all to go sit on a tack.  I tell you, it’s not nice to fool a mother senator! And Feinstein chairs the rules committee of the US Senate that could take up the Burris case very soon.  Take that, Mr. Obama!! Fox News Reports: “Does the governor have the power, under law, to make the appointment? And the answer is yes,” Feinstein said, urging the Senate to settle the matter. “If you don’t seat Mr. Burris, it has ramifications for gubernatorial appointments all over America. … Mr. Burris is a senior, experienced politician.” ConservativeAmerican.org was among the first (especially among non-democrats) to suggest that Roland Burris should in fact be seated.  For once in my life I will say to Diane Feinstein: You go girl.  Oh, and careful with your poses, you never know when someone might take a picture.
