Remember how very important the liberals and Bush-haters thought it was to tell us every day how many soldiers had died “Because of him?” They chanted their stupid “Bush Lied! People Died” and marked each “milestone” in the death count with news releases and celebrations. Each time the number grew, it gave them more “ammo” and hatred for President Bush. 3/6/9 UPDATE: Some of them continue their Bush Death Counts to this day! UPDATE 10/19/9: Rush Limbaugh said on his show today that democrats “reveled in the number of deaths, trumpeted it, made it sound like it was the first time we ever had a death in war.”
It’s fair to have an open and honest debate about a war in this country. Freedom of speech is part of what makes us great! It’s also fair to debate the merits of preemptive war. Some in that debate called it imperialism. Others called it self-defense. Many chose to hate Bush because of his decision to go into Iraq. They claimed it was an unjust war. And, they kept count.
Through any historical lens you choose, the number of deaths from the wars President Bush was in charge of was statistically quite low. Still, that doesn’t help at all if you lost someone you love in battle. It is important to know about the brave men and women who sacrifice for this great nation. It also is important to keep that in an honest perspective.
They never counted the millions of people Bush freed from tyranny and terrorism. They didn’t even count how many minorities or Muslims he freed. They only counted the deaths.
To point out to them the error in their ways, we have created THE OBAMA DEATH COUNT. You can find it on the right of our page. We just want to see if they will scream and chant, “OBAMA LIED! PEOPLE DIED!” After all, didn’t he say he would end the war? That’s a broken promise….Or, is it a lie?
If the new President Obama was republican, the lefty anti-war crowd would shout out “He lied! He didn’t end the war like he promised! And, because he didn’t end it and fighting goes on, more people have lost their lives. So, Obama Lied, People Died!” Fox News could even help them out. They reported today Obama promised in July he would have a meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff his first day in office to lay out a quick end to the war in Iraq. He did not do that. Another broken promise for the Official Obama Administration Scandals List!
He quickly changed his ‘prerecorded inauguration song’ to say he would end it “in good time,” maybe 16 months. Then even that changed. Now, he’ll end that war in good time, and STEP UP war measures in Afghanistan. He has abandoned his anti-war supporters. No big surprise there.
If the anti-war crowd is consistent and does chant “Obama Lied! People Died,” and if they start to hate Obama for “his war” as much as they hated Bush, then we likely will take our count down. We doubt that will happen. They only are against war when it is a republican in charge. Just like they only want a black candidate if he is a democrat.
So, we’ll leave the absurd ‘Obama Death Count’ up to point out how absurd their Bush death count was. It will also draw attention to the hypocrisy and lies of the anti-war crowds. Republican war is bad. Democrat war is good. Pass the Kool-aid!

Does the D.O.D. keep records of how many people Bush “liberated”? They keep records of the deaths. How do you spin this to pin the “body count” on Obama? Bush started the war. If it continues indefinitly, you might have a point. Until then, it’s ALL Bush.

Thanks for your comment. We don’t think ou can blame Bush for decisions the new Commander in Chief makes. He can end the war right now if he wants by ordering our troops out. He has chosen not to do so. The last two paragraphs are fairly clear in explaining why we have an Obama “body count” as you call it. Enjoyed your response. Come back anytime and add your comments! No I don’t think they do, that being said history shows that Americas part in WWII helped free Europe from the evils of Hitler. Likewise time will prove that Bush mades the right call in the Middle East. Unlike Clinton who had the chance to have Bin Laden turned over to us knowing that Al Queada was plotting terrorist acts. History will be kinder to Bush than you liberal America haters will be able to tolerate. Just keep drinking your Kool Aid & following your Kenyan Prez “Zer0-bama” while trying to dismantle our nation & constitution.

Let’s remember that the result of FDR’s foreign policy was World War 2 and the over 405,000 G.I.’s killed during it.
Perhaps he should have been more of a leader and diplomat. Maybe so many around the world didn’t have to die…
Hopefully Obama doesn’t cause as many US deaths.

Hey, thanks for the prayers! We can always use those. Yes, I do think he lied. He promised in July that he would meet with the Joint Chiefs on day one to map out a way to end the war. He didn’t do that and does not intend to do so. If that makes me stupid in your book, I guess that’s okay. I do not have any rage toward you or the President. I’m sure he is a good man. I have not met him. I am very unhappy with his policies. If you read the article, we are pointing out the hypocrisy on your side by doing this. It was your side (not ours as you say) that made it “all about blame and slogans” with your years of blaming Bush and marking with some joy each milestone in the death tally. I’ll pray for you too, so you can realize the point of this whole article was to point out the looney ranting on the part of the liberals. Thanks for visiting. Rush Limbaugh was born in 1951 to an American mom “Millie” and an American dad lawyer & WWII Fighter Pilot in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Since ‘President’ Obama now wants to silence El Rushbo even before BHO has a chance to try to re-establish the “fairness doctrine” to silence all conservative talk radio, I’ve got three questions (but answers to only two of them):
FIRST QUESTION: Who IS the actual and lawful 44th President of the USA?
ANSWER: Joe Biden
Biden was initially the Acting President for at least 5 minutes under either the Constitution’s Article 2 or the Constitution’s 20th Amendment, from 12:00 Noon 1/20/09, having already taken his Oath of Office and before Obama completed his ‘oath’ at approximately 12:05 PM, 1/20/09. Under the 20th Amendment if the President-elect shall have failed to qualify, or alternatively under Article 2 if the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term, being 12:00 Noon 1/20/09, which ability and/or qualification includes that he take the Article 2 oath “before he enter on the execution of his office,” then either the Presidency shall devolve on the Vice President under Article 2 or the Vice President shall act as President under the 20th Amendment. (The importance of the oath in ‘commencing’ an ‘Obama Presidency’ — rather than merely the 1/20/09 Noon time — is confirmed by the re-take of the ‘oath’ by Obama at the White House on 1/21/09 after the first ‘oath’ was NOT administered by Justice Roberts NOR recited by Obama in the words as required under Article 2.)
This is significant because at such time that the Supreme Court finally rules on the merits on Obama’s disqualification as not being an Article 2 “natural born citizen” (clearly he is NOT under either and/or both of two theories — (1) BHO refuses to show Birth Certificate to deny Kenyan birth/res ipsa loquitur “action speaks for itself” or (2) BHO admits dad was Kenyan/British, not American, citizen at Jr’s birth), Biden’s automatic status (without needing to take a separate Presidential Oath) of being President would be predicated upon four different bases: First, having been Vice President under Article 2; second, having been Vice President-elect under the 20th Amendment; third, having been actual President in the hiatus before Obama took the ‘oath(s)’; and fourth, retroactively deemed President during the full period of the Obama usurpation so that the acts of the Federal Government under the usurpation can be deemed authorized and/or ratified by Biden’s legitimacy.
SECOND QUESTION: Who will be the 45th President?
ANSWER: Hillary Clinton
One must assume that Bill and Hillary Clinton have been aware of all of the above. Biden’s wife recently “let the cat out of the bag” on the Oprah Show that both Biden and Hillary had considered alternatively Veep or Secretary of State, in either case, setting up Hillary to be President on a vote of the Democratic Congress if need be.
THIRD QUESTION: Is Obama an unwitting victim of this troika or a knowing participant?
ANSWER: Yet undetermined.

Your reasoning makes absolutely no sense. You propose to hold President Obama responsible for the deaths of individuals currently involved in a military action started by the previous administration.
By this reasoning, I guess you hold Franklin D. Roosevelt responsible for all the deaths that took place between 1933 (his inauguration) and 1941 when the US entered World War II.
No, history has already written the story concerning World War II. Adolf Hitler is responsible for the 46 million European deaths during World War II and history will proclaim that former President George W. Bush is responsible for all the deaths during the Iraq war.
Adolf Hitler did not commit the act of murder with his own hands. But his manipulation of the 1933 German political system, his rise to power, his elimination of civil liberties and freedoms, and his elimination and disregard for political and legal oversight, gave him unprecedented power to plan, and execute these atrocities against mankind with the help of his closest advisors, military, and secret police.
Likewise, former President Bush did not actually fire the weapons, drop the bombs, or torture the captives with his own hands during this “war on terror”. But his manipulation of the current American political system and rise to power (2000 election), his elimination of civil liberties and freedoms (Patriot Act-wiretaps on Americans), and his elimination and disregard for political and legal oversight (Rendition-Gitmo), gave him unprecedented power to plan, and execute these atrocities against mankind with the help of his closest advisors, military, and secret police.
There are so many similarities between the two leaders and history has already passed its verdict on one of them. That verdict sets a precedent for the other that is unavoidable.
History has spoken.

If you’re going to compare Bush to Hitler though, you might as well have a sign on your back that says “Kick me, I’m nuts!” I’m sure you’re not nuts and that you’re a nice guy. I’m just saying that comparing the two doesn’t help you at all. Did you read the part of the article where we point out we are doing this to point out that it was silly for your side to do this? The part that really drives conservatives crazy is that in the summer of 2010, when combat operations have ceased and most troops have come home, Obama will be able to declare that he won the Iraq war. Mission Accomplished.

Until Obama lies to the American people to get us to declare a unilateral war against of sovereignty of another nation it will never be the same. The war has resulted in the deaths of between 200,000 and 1 million human lives and has cost both countries involved untold billions of dollars. If Obama does this, then, and only then, will it be the same, and will those soldiers blood be on Obama’s hands. Furthermore, the weakening of our military and its readiness, and the stability of our war time intelligence gathering has been undermined by private contractors whose loyalty is to the all mighty $$, and not to the Republic of the United States and its Constitution. Perhaps you need to reread ex-President Dwight D Eisenhower’s farewell address.

Every American knows the Democratic (socialist) Party of America is not held to any standard at all. This attempt to hold the fire to their feet on morally relative foundations will never have any effect at all on them. Possibly it will make a few independents aware.
It is simply fine and accepted for the Democratic Party politicians to lie, deceive, steal, betray, and mislead anybody and everybody…in reality this seems to be encouraged and almost rewarded in their ranks. This is why they worship Barack/Barry Hussein Obama/Soetoro…he mastered their modus operandi and brought it to fruition.
To the Democratic Party politicians and many of their left of center constituents, Barack Obama is the messiah and that is stated with all sincerity and absolutely no sarcasm.

This is why they desire one world government and the rule of international law. These are the people who refuse to write into healthcare legislation for any protection of life. Yet they will write in every encouragement of death via abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and assisted-suicide and healthcare rationing.
These are the people who want to force every American to pay $1995.00 for “free” healthcare that puts foremost the practice of death not life. And when Americans refuse to pay or cannot pay this healthcare tax, Sec 7203 of the Code provides that the IRS is assigned to enforce it and will fine these delinquent debtors up to $25,000.00 and a year in prison.
Indeed a large book could be written on their Culture of Death and their apparent of motto of Mors Vincet Omnia (Death Conquers All).

These are the type of persons we are attempting to hold to a standard…to cry hypocrite about. They do not care or even concern themselves about their own ethics nor morals and neither do most of their secular socialist public-schooled constituents.
Their counting of deaths was simply a tactic, not a sincere concern for life. Americans need to be real about this truth…it was all simply a facade and anyone who denies it is simply being deceptive.
These people fight to keep legal the killing of 50 million defenseless little boys and girls every year throughout the world and here at home. This Democratic Party administration has worked very hard to increase that number and has put in place much legislation and policy to accomplish their death goals, both domestically and around the world and with taxpayer funding.

The Democratic Party politicians and most of their constituents never really have had any concern for human life, ever. As a matter of fact they concern themselves with the life of lowly beasts more than human life. Just look at Cass Sunstein, he believes that until we equalize the lives of every animal species to the human species that we are being unjust. Now we all know what that means, in their own terms, since they obviously do not value human life either. It means that we must devalue human life to the same level as the life of lowly beasts. In other words, a human life value will be determined by its usefulness to the State as will any and all animal life…after all, we are all animals of different species, in their blinded eyes. We can be killed, experimented on/with, cloned, manufactured etc.

Obama lied onday one so the body counts are his. Many of his campaign promises were lies. He said he would take the US out of Iran but we are still there. The travesty of those deaths lay squarely on Obama's shoulders. He has failed to address Afghanistan and has been reluctant to meet with his generals or heed their advice. In the meantime, more of our finest sacrifice their lives which also lay squarely on Obama's shoulders. The body counts belong to Obama. He lies.

George Bush (alias "The Moron President" is directly and categorically responsible for the current increase in deaths of our Warfighters in Afganistan. If he had had the sense and brains to "finish the fight" in Afganistan and decimate the Taliban and Al Queda instead of "showing Daddy that he could get Saddam we would now have finally got the bastards that killed our fellow citizens in NYC, the Pentagon and a field in Western PA. I am a soldier who lost a friend recently, whose name I cam across on your site. I am appalled at this display of outright, gutless politicizing of brave men and women who have given their lives for something more than a political party affiliation.
How dare you use his name as a political football. Shame. Shame on you for this. This is not the America myself or anyone else I know signed up to serve. Alot guys died under Bush. Alot have died under Obama (less, by the way… nor did Obama send us into either of these two countries, and I say this as someone who is not his biggest fan to say the least). You parading their names across the internet to make a point (a misguided and blatantly false one, at that) is absolutely sinister. Even if you have a grounded argument, two wrongs DO NOT make a right. How dare you.
Just curiously, how many of this site's moderators have served overseas? I can only guess. Hope you can tell your grandkids that you contributed to the Global War on Terror by exploiting the names of fallen service members to prove a political point while real patriots were out on the front lines so that you weren't pressed into service.

Thank you for your service to this great nation and I am sorry for your loss. You really should read the posts before you comment however. The Obama Death Count story clearly states that I agree with you… death counts tied to a President, regardless of party, are absurd and wrong. It is fair, even if it makes you uncomfortable, to use the absurd (the Obama Death Count) to demonstrate the absurd (the numerous Bush Death Counts). How many comments did you leave at CBS, NBC, ABC and the countless other sites when they kept running their Bush Death Counts and when Dan Rather ran nightly stories about the day's casualties and relating them to his Bush Death Count? Were you equally upset? You miss my point completely, perhaps intentionally. The posts which actually list the names of the fallen, do so with the utmost respect and thanks. There is nothing political in the post that lists the names other than perhaps the title of the post and the reference to the Obama Death Count. I respectfully disagree with you that using the absurd to demonstrate the absurd is "absolutely sinister." This is NOT a case of two wrongs don't make a right. I point out clearly and often that the Obama Death Count is absurd and that I merely call it that and keep count to show the liberals the insanity of their own Bush Death Count. I do understand your uncomfort with this and others share that feeling with you. Just as I shared it (though perhaps not with you) when the Bush Death Counts were up. To me, you and those who serve along side of you (democrat, independent, republican… I don't care) are all to be viewed as a hero. I realize you won't want my appreciation, but I offer it anyway. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. You make my point at the end of your comment stating that "exploiting the names of fallen service members" is wrong. It certainly is. You are always welcome here at this site and I appreciate your comments. Keep them clean, as you did, and you are always welcome to disagree and debate.

I see you posted that 68 weeks ago russ sole. Why not come back and defend President Obama now. Last year we had the highest yearly casualties since 2001. So far this year, we have almost had the second highest year (beat only by 2008) in casualties and it is only May.
President Obama promised to commit to the Afghanistan war, since that was the place he said was where we should have gone in the first place. Have we met our objective there? Do you think the president announcing our pull out date from Afghanistan and the new restrictions placed on our soldiers involving combat encounters have anything to do with the increase in deaths under President Obama?
Where is your outrage now russ sole?

Thank you Mr. Andrew for this site. My heart aches daily for our troops and, although I would have dreaded it no matter who was POTUS, I deeply dread my nephew's upcoming service in the Marine Corps.
