Obama Reinvents Civil War History! 2/4/9 TownHall.com catches this one: “He opened, bizarrely, by comparing this moment in history to past American crises: “when the Union was turned back at Bull Run …” He suggested that “America prevailed because we chose to move forward as one nation, as one people.” This, of course, is unmitigated, self-serving rubbish — 620,000 Americans died in the Civil War because we didn’t move forward as one nation. But that is irrelevant to Obama — in his mind, today’s crisis is just like the Civil War. He is a modern-day Lincoln, and those who oppose him are benighted rebels. What’s more, only his powerful leadership can lead us through.”
1102. Obama Leaking Information to Terrorists to Save His Own Rear End! 2/4/9 NowPublic.com reports, “Sen. Christopher Bond…, sent a letter to President Obama urging him not to disseminate ” sensitive information vital to the defense of the American people.” The letter was in response to a White House briefing to reporters that Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouq Abdulmutallab is cooperating with federal law enforcement officials. Mr. Bond said a White House briefing to reporters that details that the Nigerian man is cooperating with law enforcement has no doubt “reached the ears of our enemies abroad.” — The Washington Times says the White House response was to ask Bond to apologize.

All The President’s Lobbyists # 13 /Appointment Scandal #98 – Melody Barnes 2/5/9 ConservativeAmerican.org has been detailing the many lobbyists working for President Obama in his “No lobbyists, I promise” administration. The Official Obama Administration Scandals List already includes the following twelve lobbyists: Leon Panetta, William Lynn, William Corr, Mark Patterson, Jocelyn Frye, Cecilia Munoz, Richard Verma, Charles Bolden, Patrick Gaspard, Naomi Walker, Islam Siddiqui, and Robin Lynn Raphel. 1141. Obama Lies About Involvement in Shady Health Care Deals! 2/4/10 John McCormack at the Washington Examiner reports, “Mary Katharine Ham notes that President Obama tells ABC:
      “Let’s just clarify. I didn’t make a bunch of deals [on health care]. … There is a legislative process that is taking place in Congress and I am happy to own up to the fact that I have not changed Congress and how it operates the way I would have liked.” But the Washington Post reported on December 20 that Obama’s top aides were involved in the negotiations with Nelson: …Keenly aware how tense the talks were, the White House dispatched two aides who together have decades of experience in the Senate — Jim Messina and Peter Rouse — to work with Nelson. They relayed their intelligence to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who monitored the talks from a dinner in Georgetown… Michelle Malkin sums it up: The unmitigated chutzpah here is so blinding that I don’t just need sunglasses to protect my eyes. I need blackout curtains. Watch President Obama blame Congress for Demcare bribery and sabotage of transparency. 1143. Obama Caught (AGAIN!) Sneaking Billions to ACORN! 2/5/10 From our friends at Yid with Lid (a great website): “What fun is it to be President if you can’t take care of your friends. Matthew Vadum has uncovered a special $3.83 billion slush fund the President’s new budget sent to congress yesterday. The money would come from the the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which is part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) $48.5 billion fiscal 2011 budget. CDBG grants, which are awarded to states and localities, then pass to groups such as ACORN.” ConservativeAmerican.org calls this the Audacity of Buying Votes!
1144. Transportation Secretary: Don’t Drive Your Toyota! 2/5/10 In support of Government Motors and Government-Chrysler, Obama’s Transportation Secretary urges people not to drive Toyota’s! Another reason the government should not be in the car business. Fox News: “Toyota Motor Corp. shares sank rapidly Wednesday after U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood advised in congressional testimony that people stop driving any cars involved in the Toyota recall, though the declines eased somewhat after the secretary clarified his statement… “My advice is, if anybody owns one of these vehicles, stop driving it, take it to the Toyota dealer because they believe they have the fix for it,” LaHood said. Afterwards he told reporters that wasn’t what he meant to say.”
1145. Obama’s Broken Education Promise 2/7/10 The Heritage Foundation: “Last March, President Obama pledged that his administration would make funding decisions based on science. It would “use only one test when deciding what ideas to support with your precious tax dollars,” he said. “It’s not whether an idea is liberal or conservative, but whether it works.” But the past year has proven otherwise. Consider Head Start, a federal program aimed at helping low-income children prepare for school – and therefore learn more… it wasn’t until the late 1990s that Congress finally mandated a national evaluation of the program to measure its effectiveness. This month, the results were finally released: Former Head Start participants were no better off than their non-Head Start peers by the end of first grade. Using random assignment, the national evaluation tracked the progress of 3- and 4-year-olds entering Head Start through the first grade. Compared to similarly situated children, access to the program failed to raise the cognitive abilities of Head Start participants. Alarmingly, access to Head Start for the 3-year-old group had a harmful effect on the teacher-assessed math ability of these children once they entered kindergarten. In the opinion of teachers, similar children who were eligible for Head Start but denied access are more prepared in math skills than those children who participated in Head Start… His administration sat on the Head Start results while President Obama was approving unprecedented increases in federal spending on preschool programs, including Head Start… President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which included US$5 billion in additional funding for preschool. And in September, the House of Representatives approved a higher education bill, backed by President Obama, that authorizes US$8 billion for a new federal preschool program. At the same time, President Obama has let Congress kill the tiny D.C. Opportunity Scholarship program, which helps poor children attend private schools in the nation’s capital. As Congress was passing legislation to end the program, Education Secretary Arne Duncan’s Department was sitting on a similar federally mandated evaluation. When it was finally released (on a Friday afternoon in the spring), the report revealed that students receiving the scholarships had made significant academic progress compared to their peers who remained in public school.”

Obama Flip-flop-flip-flop-flip on Trying Terrorists in New York! 2/8/10 The President and his Attorney General, Eric Holder, have flip flopped so many times on this issue, I can’t even keep it straight. FitsNews.com reported in November that the Obama administration had flipped and decided to hold the trials in New York after all. Giving in to public pressure, FitsNews says by the end of January, the administration had flopped back saying the trials would NOT be in New York. Then…don’t feel bad, we get confused too… on February 7th Couric-BS news asked Obama if his administration still planned to hold the trial in New York City. Obama replied, “I have not ruled it out.” — Only to flip again an instant later, playing both sides of every issue again, and adding, “If you’ve got a city that is saying ‘no’ and a police department that’s saying ‘no’ and a mayor that’s saying ‘no,’ that makes it difficult.”

Obama’s NASA Lies! 2/7/10 Conservative Hideout reports President Obama’s new $3.8-Trillion proposed budget breaks promises he made to NASA: “these changes are not what Obama promised while on the campaign. On the campaign, he lied through his teeth, told people what they want to hear, and was deceitful about his future intentions. In August of last year, then-Senator Barack Obama detailed a comprehensive space plan that included $2 billion in new funding to reinvigorate NASA and a promise to make space exploration and science a significantly higher priority if he is elected president. Since then, he has made NASA a low priority, not even bothering to name a director for NASA for several months, and instead of increasing funding by $2 billion, NASA’s budget is going to be slashed. This is why I call him the Bizzarro President- whatever he says, you can take to the bank that he is going to do the opposite of what he says. He is a serial liar, a deceitful snake, and an untrustworthy person. His word is meaningless, and his promises worth less.”
1148. Obama’s Broken Marijuana Promise 2/7/10 The Chicago Sun Times reports President Obama had promised to end medical marijuana raids. He has not done so.
1149. Obama Gets Creepy (& Lies!) About Death of Cancer Victim from St. Louis! 2/7/10 From Fausta’s blog: “(OBAMA:) ‘I got a letter — I got a note today from one of my staff — they forwarded it to me — from a woman in St. Louis who had been part of our campaign, very active, who had passed away from breast cancer. She didn’t have insurance. She couldn’t afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she’s going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt.’ Plweeeez! I respect her decision to be buried in anything she best chose, but must Obama tell us about it? And not even bother mention her by name – Melanie Shouse? The Lonely Conservative points out that Melanie Shouse had insurance, She had delayed going to a doctor after she began to feel sick. She explained that she could only afford so-called “catastrophic” insurance — one that required her to pay $5,000 in deductibles before the insurance kicked in. My heart goes out to her family, but to say she didn’t have health insurance is a lie.” — ConservativeAmerican.org: Rush Limbaugh also blasted Obama for this very odd behavior. It’s all about Obama. She wanted to be buried in his t-shirt… that’s the important thing to Obama. He’s certainly full of himself!
      
1150. Obama Lies at Prayer Breakfast! Does this man have No Limits?! 2/7/10 From Rev. Barry Lynn writing at the ultra-liberal Huffie and the Blowfish Post: “Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast on February 4, President Barack Obama asserted that his administration has “turned the faith-based initiative around,” implying that his policies represent a sharp break from past practices. That’s news to me. In fact, from where I’m sitting, the core of Obama’s faith-based initiative looks pretty much identical to the deeply problematic one created by President George W. Bush. A few tweaks on the margins don’t amount to real change. One year after Obama announced his version of the faith-based office, civil rights and civil liberties groups such as mine are still fighting Bush-era battles over tax funding to religious groups that proselytize, job discrimination on religious grounds in public programs and lack of accountability. It’s disheartening.” — ConservativeAmerican.org: Ouch. Sounds like the lefties are mad!
1151. Obama Spends $2.5-Mill of Taxpayer Money on Superbowl Ad 2/7/10 – I thought Obama said the government needed to tighten its budget belt? Fox News reports, “Taxpayers might want to pay close attention to this Sunday’s Super Bowl broadcast or they’ll miss Uncle Sam’s 30-second, $2.5-million reminder to stand up and be counted. That’s what the Census Bureau paid CBS to get their message notched somewhere between a National Lampoon reprisal, a weird dude with big glasses, a beer-can house and men without pants. And, that’s just a fraction of what the bureau plans to spend this year to get Americans to answer a simple, 10-question survey. The bureau is spending $133 million between January and May… “
1152. Axelrod’s Hypocrisy is Showing! 2/7/10 From Norvell Rose at RenewAmerica: “Sometimes, a Washington whopper is just too big and juicy to resist. It absolutely begs to have a bite taken out of it. Such is the case with the interview David Axelrod gave during the most recent edition of the NBC News show Meet the Press… Here’s what Axelrod said to Gregory: “One of the things that we face, David, and one of the things the American people recognize is that we have too much influence of special interests in the decision making here in, in Washington.” …Need we remind Mr. Axelrod of the President’s special interest relationship with unions — SEIU, the Teamsters, the UAW? Need we remind Obama’s Special Apologist, uh, Adviser of another recent dustup — the one involving the sweetheart deal for loyal union members negotiated into the so-called “health care reform” legislation? Need we remind the Axe-man of the President’s meaningless pledge to keep registered lobbyists at bay, all the while reserving honored seats at the presidential power table for campaign contributors?” UPDATE 2/8/10:From the Washington Times: “Contrary to President Obama’s promises, voters say special interests have more influence on the political process now than they did a year ago, according to a new poll. The poll, paid for by groups looking to curb the Supreme Court’s recent campaign finance ruling, found that majorities of both Republicans and Democrats say special interests have increased their influence since the president took office, and they say Mr. Obama has not done enough to fight back.”

      Marc Thiessen at National Review Online: “Obama counterterrorism adviser John Brennan lashed out at Republicans for daring to criticize the Obama administration’s bungling of the interrogation of Abdulmutallab, the Christmas bomber — and said Republicans should have known he would automatically be Mirandized once the FBI began questioning him. Brennan claimed that he spoke with four Republicans on Christmas night — Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Kit Bond, and Pete Hoekstra — and told them that Mr. Abdulmutallab “was in F.B.I. custody” and that they should have understood that “F.B.I. custody” meant reading Miranda rights in a civilian process. “None of those individuals raised any concerns with me at that point,” Brennan said. The problem with Brennan’s claim? As I point out in Courting Disaster, just a few months earlier, the Obama administration announced that its new FBI-led “High-Value Interrogation Group” (HIG) would not necessarily Mirandize suspects it was questioning.”

Obama’s Lawsuit Reform Lie 2/8/10 – Obama told congress last September, “Many in this chamber — particularly on the Republican side of the aisle — have long insisted that reforming our medical malpractice laws can help bring down the cost of health care,” Obama said. “Now, I don’t believe malpractice reform is a silver bullet, but I’ve talked to enough doctors to know that defensive medicine may be contributing to unnecessary costs. So I’m proposing that we move forward on a range of ideas about how to put patient safety first and let doctors focus on practicing medicine. I know that the Bush administration considered authorizing demonstration projects in individual states to test these ideas. I think it’s a good idea, and I’m directing my Secretary of Health and Human Services to move forward on this initiative today.” – However, Republican Congressman Darrell Issa says that never happened! From the Liberal Huff-n-Puff Post: “An Issa staffer attempted to get some information from HHS about malpractice reform and was told that tort reform “is not a priority with this Administration,” Issa charged. “The first question I have for President Obama is if he still stands by his call for tort reform or was he just lying to Congress when he directed Sec. Sebelius to pursue an initiative addressing the costs of defensive medicine,” Issa asked. “When HHS is telling me that malpractice reform is not a ‘priority of this Administration,’ I have to question the sincerity of the President’s commitment to working with Congressional Republicans on a bipartisan basis.”

Obama Breaks Promise to End Subsidy Payments to “Passive Farmers: 2/17/2010 The Rural Blog reports, “President Obama has done some things to help rural America, but he has failed to follow through on a central promise of his campaign’s rural agenda, writes Chuck Hassebrook for the Nebraska-based Center for Rural Affairs. Geithner, now Obama’s Treasury Secretary, is a former Goldman employee as is his chief of staff, Mark Patterson. Geithner also used to run the New York Federal Reserve Bank. Bloomberg: “When a congressional panel convened a hearing on the government rescue of American International Group Inc. in January, the public scolding of Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner got the most attention. Lawmakers said the former head of the New York Federal Reserve Bank had presided over a backdoor bailout of Wall Street firms and a coverup… Representative Darrell Issa,…placed into the hearing record a five-page document itemizing the mortgage securities on which banks such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Societe Generale SA had bought $62.1 billion in credit-default swaps from AIG. These were the deals that pushed the insurer to the brink of insolvency — and were eventually paid in full at taxpayer expense. The New York Fed, which secretly engineered the bailout, prevented the full publication of the document for more than a year, even when AIG wanted it released.” author and former investment banker William Cohan told Bloomberg the Obama Administration has obstructed a proper accounting of what went wrong in the financial crisis. More from Bloomberg: “The public can now see for the first time how poorly the securities performed, with losses exceeding 75 percent of their notional value in some cases. Compounding this, the document and Bloomberg data demonstrate that the banks that bought the swaps from AIG are mostly the same firms that underwrote the CDOs in the first place. The banks should have to explain how they managed to buy protection from AIG primarily on securities that fell so sharply in value… Professor James Cox of Duke University School of Law says: “They may have been trying to shield Goldman — for Goldman’s sake or out of macro concerns that another investment bank would be at risk.” — ConservativeAmerican.org points out there are a bunch of Goldman Sachs pals of Barack Obama and Timothy Geithner who now work for the Obama Administration. Obama’s “Gitmo Appointees!” – Appointment Scandals # 135-143 2/23/2010 The New York Post is reporting that President Obama has nine employees working for him in the Department of Justice who either represented or advocated on behalf of, terrorists at the Guantanamo Bay Prison! Jennifer Fermino reports that Eric Holder wrote to Republican Senator Charles Grassley: “”To the best of our knowledge, during their employment prior to joining the government, only five of the lawyers who serve as political appointees in those components represented detainees,” said Holder in the letter, which is dated Feb. 18. “Four others either contributed to amicus briefs in detainee-related cases or were otherwise involved in advocacy on behalf of detainees.” Holder refused to reveal the names of any of the DOJ lawyers who worked on behalf of terrorists or their positions in the department, except for two officials whose advocacy for Gitmo detainees had already been reported. Neal Katyal, the department’s principal deputy solicitor general, was once the lawyer for Osama bin Laden’s driver. Jennifer Daskal, part of Obama’s Detention Policy Task Force, advocated for detainees at Human Rights Watch.” — ConservativeAmerican.org notes Holder himself was involved in the pardons of 16 Puerto Rican terrorists. The law firm Holder worked for at the time of his appointment represented 17 Gitmo Detainees. How much money will all these lawyers make if Obama shuts down Gitmo and these men go free? UPDATE 3/19/10: The LA Times calls this scandal a “silly smear.”

Obama’s Fake and Staged ObamaCare Nightmare Summit! 2/24/2010 The fake healthcare summit today produced only one result: It gave Socialist-Democrats the chance to say the nasty Republicans just aren’t cooperating so they will simply have to do it all on their own! Politico says the Socialist-Democrats will start going Nuclear on Monday. Politico says, “After a brief period of consultation following the White House health reform summit, congressional Democrats plan to begin making the case next week for a massive, Democrats-only health care plan, party strategists told POLITICO. A Democratic official said the six-hour summit was expected to “give a face to gridlock, in the form of House and Senate Republicans.” Democrats plan to begin rhetorical, and perhaps legislative, steps toward the Democrats-only, or reconciliation, process early next week, the strategists said.

ObamaCare Nightmare Gets Worse After Health Summit! 2/24/2010 The National Legal & Policy Center says you better hold on to your wallet: “The plan is costly and its burden will fall on many Americans, not just “the rich.” Among its more controversial features, the White House proposal retains, in scaled-down form, a key Senate provision: a 40 percent excise tax on high-cost (“Cadillac” or “gold-plated”) health insurance plans originally scheduled to go into effect in 2013… Finding ways to pay for this won’t be easy… One possible revenue source is the Senate excise tax on high-cost insurance policies… Being subject to an excise tax presumably makes consumers more price-conscious and induces doctors to think twice about ordering tests or conducting surgeries of dubious necessity. On paper, this makes sense. In reality, many will pay. Formally, insurers rather than customers make tax payments. But inevitably they would pass the extra cost onto plan enrollees in the form of higher premiums. It’s hard to see how middle-class families would avoid getting slammed, despite Obama’s assurances to the contrary. Indeed, Congress’s Joint Committee on Taxation, in evaluating the Senate bill, concluded that 84 percent of the total tax burden in 2019 would be borne by households making less than $200,000.

It’s All About the “O” – ObamaCare Nightmare Summit! 2/24/2010 The Washington Times: “President Obama pledged to “listen” at the outset of his much-ballyhooed bipartisan health care summit on Thursday. Turns out he meant he’d be listening to his own voice. By the end of the televised event, Mr. Obama had spoken for 119 minutes – nine minutes more than the 110 minutes consumed by 17 Republicans. The 21 Democratic lawmakers used 114 minutes, giving the president and his supporters a whopping 233 minutes, according to a “talk clock” kept by GOP aides. From the beginning, no one could agree on anything, even how much time each side had used. When a miffed Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, pointed out early on that Democrats had controlled 52 minutes to Republicans’ 24, Mr. Obama jumped in to dispute even that…” The Associated Press made this funny observation, “President Barack Obama’s televised health care meeting with lawmakers Thursday fulfilled a promise he broke before he kept. Now Obama has made good on the pledge — at least for one day.” As Michelle Malkin likes to say, Obama’s promises have expiration dates!

Obama Lies About Free Market Belief 2/25/2010 The website, “The Liberal Lie, The Conservative Truth,” shouts “You Lie!” on this one: “Barack Obama the socialist…speaking at a business round table made the following claim: “Contrary to the claims of some of my critics, I am an ardent believer in the free market.” This is one of the most blatant lies that Obama has told since taking office. Let’s look at the proof of his supposed belief in the free market. Since becoming President, Obama has: – Bailed out countless banks and financial institutions rather than letting the free market solve the problem then not allowing the institutions to pay back the monies so that government would have a share holders stake and control in the institutions – stepped in taking control of GM and Chrysler even firing and hiring CEOS, dictating the operation of the companies, the production and even the amount of advertising that would be allowed under the government controlled bankruptcy…”

Presumably that also means at the same cost Congressmen pay — $503 per year for full coverage, including drugs.”

Obama Hypocrisy on Interrogation Techniques 2/25/2010 Remember how Obama promised no more so-called “torture?” One way he has found around this is to let the Pakistani’s handle the “dirty work.” Hot Air reports, “a fact not lost on former Bush press secretary Dana Perino. Quote: The Obama administration is working with Pakistani intelligence to interrogate Mullah Baradar, reportedly the Taliban’s number-two man. We’ve been a little underwhelmed by the Left’s reaction to this news… the Pakistanis are not subject to President Obama’s ban on interrogation techniques that go beyond those authorized in the Army Field Manual. The Pakistanis don’t know the Army Field Manual — and probably think the enhanced interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding and sleep deprivation, used in years past against certain al-Qaeda detainees such as Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, are rather quaint… We suspect … the Obama administration worries day and night about being accused by its base of Bush/Cheney-like behavior, even though it understands that many Bush-administration policies were effective in protecting the country. They needn’t worry. The Left has already shown that it will avert its eyes when it’s Obama calling the plays. Obama’s “Summit of Broken Promises” 2/25/2010 The Heartland Institute’s Health Care News says, “The president’s first broken promise this week is perhaps the most obvious: the promise that he would present a bill in advance of this summit, one that would include bipartisan ideas, for his opponents in Congress to review. He did not do this… No actual legislation was posted online, and none has been shared with the American people or Congress. When the Congressional Budget Office was asked by many members to provide an assessment of the cost of the president’s proposal, CBO responded, “CBO cannot provide a cost estimate for the proposal without additional detail.” As always with policymaking, the devil is in those details. By not sharing them, Obama shows once again that this summit is about political posturing, not good policy.” The institute says Obama also renewed his broken promise not to fund abortions with your tax dollars.

Obama Breaks Promise He Flip-Flopped On and Kept…Wait, What?! 2/25/2010 John Lott catches this bit of nonsense from the White House: “I have written many times about how different parts of the Democrats’ government takeover of health insurance will raise costs. Dems have focused on insurance taxes that would reduce demand for health as their way of reducing costs, but now that is gone also. Of course, Obama promised in the campaign not to use such taxes, then he promised to use them, now he isn’t using them. So Is this returning to his original promise or breaking a broken promise?” Beats us, John.
1195. Obama Aides Meet With Catholic Bashers 2/26/2010 Socialists and Marxists have no need for religion. From Bill Donohue at the Catholic League: “People of faith, especially Christians, have good reason to wonder exactly where their interests lie with the Obama administration. Now we have the definitive answer. In an unprecedented move, leaders of a presidential administration are hosting some of the biggest anti-religious zealots in the nation. No one opposes men and women who are incidentally agnostic or atheist from expressing their concerns, even to the White House. The problem with today’s meeting is the profile of the coalition’s members and organizations. On the advisory board of the Secular Coalition for America are such activists as Robert Boston, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, Susan Jacoby and Michael Newdow. Member organizations include American Atheists, the American Ethical Union and the Council for Secular Humanism. All of these persons and groups have a track record of open hostility to people of faith, and some have been downright bigoted in their assault on Christianity, especially Catholicism.” — ConservativeAmerican.org wants to know if Obama Aides would meet with anti Islam groups? How About a Secret Obama $30-Billion Slush Fund?! 2/26/2010 The American Thinker: “Obama, the Chicago Boys, and their 30 Billion Dollar Slush Fund – The Obama administration is seeking to exclude from federal oversight its new $30 billion dollar small-business lending program. Obama’s rhetoric about transparency during the campaign was as phony as his vow to end the era of lobbying (last year was that industry’s best year ever in Washington). David Cho writes in the Washington Post: Senior Treasury officials have told the financial bailout program’s inspector general that they are considering excluding a new $30 billion small-business lending initiative from the watchdog office’s oversight. The message, delivered at a meeting last week, sparked outrage from Republicans, who accused the Treasury of taking revenge on the watchdog for writing a series of scathing reports. Neil M. Barofsky, the special inspector general for the bailout, urged the Treasury to reconsider, arguing in a letter that the department was acting “contrary to the best interests of the taxpayer…”

More Latino Let Down: Obama Illegal Checker Software Works 46% of the Time! 2/26/2010 Fox News: “The system Congress and the Obama administration want employers to use to help curb illegal immigration is failing to catch more than half the number of unauthorized workers it checks, a research company has found. The online tool E-Verify, now used voluntarily by employers, wrongly clears illegal workers about 54 percent of the time, according to Westat, a research company that evaluated the system for the Homeland Security Department. E-Verify missed so many illegal workers mainly because it can’t detect identity fraud, Westat said. “Clearly it means it’s not doing it’s No. 1 job well enough…” — ConservativeAmerican.org feels this is probably a broken promise. No doubt the President assured his illegal voters that it wouldn’t work this good! 46% of the time, the amount this thing works, the illegals are not hired. His team is no doubt working hard to fix…er, uh, break this software!

Obama Breaks Promise to Continue the 9/11 Health Bill 2/26/2010 In January, members of the New York Congressional delegation were told the Obama Administration would no longer support the 9/11 health bill. Earlier this month, first responders 9/11 widows and others gathered at ground zero to protest the broken promise. Protesters say the letter they got from Obama just two months earlier is “a joke” and “not worth the paper it is written on.” The Feel Good Foundation is ticked off…

Obama Appointment Scandal # 144 – Julianna Smoot 2/26/2010 The White House has named Obama-insider Julianna Smoot to take Desiree Rogers’ place as chief party planner and gate-crashing-preventer. Since the party crasher incident, Rogers has been fired-on-active-duty until the replacement could be found. Smoot has a questionable history when it comes to campaign financing. While serving as national director of Obama’s campaign, she sought the financial backing and support of disgraced political fundraiser Norman Hsu. It’s the 144th example of what a lousy judge of character Barack Hugo Obama is.
1200. Obama’s Cover-Up for Rahm Emanuel 2/26/2010 Scotty Starnes’s blog reports, “Obama hasn’t appointed an Inspector General to watch over the taxpayer’s bailout of Freddie and Fannie. The T.A.R.P. bailouts has an Inspector General but neither of these mortgage giants do. Did you also know that Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, use to be on the board of directors of Fannie Mae where he made some a lot of money? Just another Obama scandal being run on the American taxpayers. Freddie and Fannie continue to lose money and nobody is investigating it thanks to Obama’s refusal to appoint an Inspector General. It seems the Obama administration is waiting for the 10 year statue of limitations to take effect. Read liberal blogger, Jane Hamsher’s article about this corruption… Bloomberg Reports, ‘ Fannie Mae will seek $15.3 billion in U.S. aid, bringing the total owed under a government lifeline to $76.2 billion, after its 10th consecutive quarterly loss. The mortgage-finance company posted a fourth-quarter net loss of $16.3 billion, or $2.87 a share, Washington-based Fannie Mae said in a filing yesterday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.’ ”
