401. Obama’s Health Care Tax Flip-Flop- 6/2/9 Candidate Obama made fun of John MaverDick McCain for being open to taxing health care benefits. He even pointed out it was on McCain’s website. Now President Obama does another flip flop according to Erica Werner at Associated Press: “Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., raised the issue with Obama during a private meeting with the president and other Democratic senators and later reported the president’s position: “It’s on the table. It’s an option.” The White House said later that Obama did not want to go that route.” So they flipped, then flopped, then flipped again. AP: “Obama spokesman Reid Cherlin said in a statement. “He stated again his belief that health reform can’t wait another year, and that while all options should be considered, those options should include the revenue proposals that he included in his budget.” …then flopped again!
402. VP Joe Biden Admits Some Stimulus Money is a Waste!- 6/2/9 Reuters: “Vice President Joe Biden acknowledged on Tuesday that some waste is inevitable in the spending of a $787 billion economic stimulus package, in a characteristically blunt assessment. “We know some of this money is going to be wasted,” Biden said…The package was approved by the Democratic-led Congress in February over the objections of most Republicans, who were concerned about the potential for wasteful spending and because it will add billions of dollars to U.S. deficit spending…”There are going to be mistakes made,” said Biden. “Some people are being scammed already!” Yep. It’s the American people that are being scammed by Biden & Obama already.

Obama’s Unprecedented Level of Being Superficial! 6/3/9 ABCDEmocrat News: “While embracing Obama’s focus on making government more open and accountable, the president’s directive from last week “doesn’t get to the root” of U.S. government officials’ addiction to stamping information “classified,” said Steve Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists’ Project on Government Secrecy.”Both the memo’s diagnosis and its own suggested remedies are quite superficial…Meredith Fuchs, of the nonpartisan National Security Archives at George Washington University, agreed. “[Obama's memo] doesn’t suggest there’s going to be anything significant done that would fix a system that’s been broken for so long.” — Even the ACLU had concerns!

Obama calls the USA a Muslim Nation!!! - 6/3/9 – After denying the nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles (see scandal #189), the NY Times reports: “In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world”:…”And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” Mr. Obama said.””

Obama’s Muslim Math is Wrong!- 6/3/9 – Rush Limbaugh notes on his radio show today that the President’s comment about the USA being “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world” is outrageous on another front as well. With just 2.3-million Muslims, hardly 1% of our population, we are not even close to being on a list of nations with large Muslim populations. Other nations have hundreds of millions of Muslims.UPDATE 6/4/9: Obama repeats his math error in Egypt claiming there are 7-million Muslims in the U.S.

406. Obama calls Democracy a “Difficult Issue!!!”- 6/3/9 – The nation’s first socialist president, Barack Obama, told reporters yesterday that democracy is a difficult issue he’d like to discuss with muslims!!! NY Times: “What I want to do is to create a better dialogue so that the Muslim world understands more effectively how the United States, but also how the West thinks about many of these difficult issues like terrorism, like democracy, to discuss the framework for what’s happened in Iraq and Afghanistan and our outreach to Iran, and also how we view the prospects for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Mr. Obama said.

Team Obama has no idea if it is FOR or AGAINST releasing terrorists in the United States!!- 6/3/9 – Fox News: “Attorney General Eric Holder and National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair have said it’s possible some Guantanamo detainees would be released in the U.S. but Solicitor General Elena Kagan strongly disagrees… Conflicting statements from the Obama administration suggest there’s an internal disagreement over whether to bring some of them to the U.S.”

Team Obama helps Terrorists with Release of Nuclear Secrets!- 6/3/9 – NY Times: “The federal government mistakenly made public a 266-page report, its pages marked “highly confidential,” that gives detailed information about hundreds of the nation’s civilian nuclear sites and programs, including maps showing the precise locations of stockpiles of fuel for nuclear weapons…David Albright, president of the Institute for Science and International Security, a private group in Washington that tracks nuclear proliferation, said information that shows where nuclear fuels are stored “can provide thieves or terrorists inside information that can help them seize the material, which is why that kind of data is not given out.”

     of ABCDEmocrat News: “Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”…The candidate was even offended when referred to by his initials “BHO,” because he considered the use of his middle name, “Hussein,” an attempt to frighten voters…The candidate’s comment at a Boca Raton, Florida, town hall meeting on May 22, 2008, was typical: “My father was basically agnostic, as far as I can tell, and I didn’t know him,” he said. In September 2008, candidate Obama told a Pennsylvania crowd, “I know that I’m not your typical presidential candidate and I just want to be honest with you. I know that the temptation is to say, ‘You know what? The guy hasn’t been there that long in Washington. You know, he’s got a funny name. You know, we’re not sure about him.’ And that’s what the Republicans when they say this isn’t about issues, it’s about personalities, what they’re really saying is, ‘We’re going to try to scare people about Barack. So we’re going to say that, you know, maybe he’s got Muslim connections.’…Just making stuff up.”Clearly people were not “just making stuff up.” Fox News reports: “Obama’s father, stepfather, brother and grandfather were Muslims, and his name means “Blessed” in Arabic. But “although my father had been raised a Muslim, by the time he met my mother he was a confirmed atheist,” Obama wrote in “Audacity of Hope.” More from ABC: …In his April 6 address to the Turkish Parliament, President Obama referenced how many “Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim majority country. I know, because I am one of them.“
410. Obama’s Muslim Roots Lie # 2!- 6/3/9 – Someone else in Obama’s family who wasn’t Muslim before now is suddenly making a Muslim pilgrimage. From Gateway Pundit & Rush Limbaugh: “They also said that his aunt or grandmother, something like that, his Kenyan grandmother was a Christian, but this month Gateway Pundit posts that we learned his Christian grandmother’s going to attend the Hajj, which is the trip to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.”

411. Obama’s Afghan Errors Upset Muslims- 6/3/9 – While Obama is on his Muslim Tour, we learn that under his command, the military reportedly made errors in Afghanistan. Pauline Jelinek at Associated Press breaks the story: “American troops made substantial errors and did not strictly follow rules for avoiding casualties during an air assault on Taliban fighters last month, a U.S. defense official said, underscoring a central quandary for President Barack Obama’s new Afghan counterinsurgency campaign. The defense official said a military investigation faulted some of the actions of American troops in air strikes May 4 that killed dozens of Afghan civilians in Farah province. “Errors were made” in the attack, the official acknowledged on condition of anonymity, discussing one of the preliminary findings on an incident that has strained relations between Washington and Kabul and bred deep resentment among the Afghan people. Civilian deaths in Afghanistan have also enraged Muslims worldwide.”

Even Fed Chair says Obama’s Deficits Will Kill the Economy!- 6/3/9 – Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Ben Bernanke told congress the President’s gigantic deficit deception, and continued Blazing Deficit Hyprocrisy, will hurt the economy! No Kidding! Greg Michaels at Dealbreaker.com has some excellent writing skills. His story reports: “Bernanke electrified the House…with an impressive stand up routine focused on deficit reduction. One liners such as “Unless we demonstrate a strong commitment to fiscal sustainability in the longer run, we will have neither financial stability nor healthy economic growth”… there were some hecklers…Republican Paul Ryan…”The Treasury is issuing debt and the central bank is buying it…It gives the alarming impression that the U.S. one day might begin to meet its financial obligations by simply printing money.” So printing money to pay off debt is a problem for Mr. Ryan. Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 1: Obama’s Muslim Tour Naiveté- 6/4/9 – While Iran says the U.S. is “hated in the Muslim world,” and Islamist Extremists pledge to kill us all, President Obama gives a talk in Cairo saying: “I’ve come here to Cairo to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world — one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect, and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition.” The extremists don’t (& won’t) respect us! They want us dead!

Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 2: Obama Invents New Duty for Presidents - 6/4/9 – “And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.” That’s a repsonsibility of the President of the United States? To fight against negative sterotypes of a specific religion? Would he do the same for Christianity? What happened to the “separation of Church and State” crowd? This nonsense was uttered today by a man who, as a candidate, did not want the press to use his middle name, Hussein, because it made him sound too Muslim! Now he is suddenly the defender of Islam?

Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 3: Obama: Holocaust Happened & “On the other hand…” - 6/4/9 – As Red State and Rush Limbaugh pointed out today, President Obama used his Cairo speech to draw some kind of sick equivalent between the killing of 6-million Jewish people in the Holocaust and Palestine. After describing the Holocaust, he said “On the other hand,” as if it were some kind of comparison or equivalent argument, “it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people – Muslims and Christians – have suffered in pursuit of a homeland. For more than sixty years they have endured the pain of dislocation. Many wait in refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza, and neighboring lands for a life of peace and security that they have never been able to lead. They endure the daily humiliations – large and small – that come with occupation. So let there be no doubt: the situation for the Palestinian people is intolerable. America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity, and a state of their own.” On 10/14/08, Haaretz notes: “Barack Obama’s campaign on Wednesday dismissed the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s assertion that as president, the Democratic candidate would rid the United States of years of “Zionist” control.” Maybe Jesse Jackson was right about this guy! And most American Jewish people vote for socialist-democrats…why?
416. Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 4: Obama Believes America & Islam share “Common Principles.” - 6/4/9 – America shares no principles in common with Islamist Extremists. Yet our President said today, “America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.” How does the extremist Muslim view of cutting someone’s head off in the name of justice have anything in common with American justice? How does the extremist view of the dignity of women as human beings have anything at all in common with the American view of the dignity of all human beings? This Rodney King approach to foreign policy will fail.

Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 5: Obama Believes Islamists Hope For Educated Women - 6/4/9 In Afghanistan and other Muslim nations, girls and women can be beaten and killed for the simple act of going to school. Yet President Obama said in Egypt today that getting an education, “This is the hope of all humanity.” He knows that is not true and he said it anyway. He knows Islamists don’t want education for “all humanity,” only males. Here is the entire quote: “Islam is a part of America. And I believe that America holds within her the truth that regardless of race, religion, or station in life, all of us share common aspirations – to live in peace and security; to get an education and to work with dignity; to love our families, our communities, and our God. These things we share. This is the hope of all humanity.”

Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 7: Obama Admits Bush was Right! – 6/4/9 – Despite years of being vocally against the Iraq war, Obama today admitted overseas that Iraq is better off because of it: “I believe that the Iraqi people are ultimately better off without the tyranny of Saddam Hussein.” That comment won’t please his anti-war pals.

Hug-an-Islamist Tour # 8: Obama Stretches Truth on Torture – 6/4/9 – President Obama said, “I have unequivocally prohibited the use of torture by the United States.” As if that is something new that he did. As Rush Limaugh noted today, “Ladies and gentlemen, torture in the United States has always been illegal. This is nothing Barack Obama has done to change that. torture has always been prohibited by the United States.”
421. Obama Broken Promise on Iraq War # 5 – - 6/4/9 – After promising America that he will end war and bring our troops home, Obama said in Egypt he may not be able to do that: “We would gladly bring every single one of our troops home if we could be confident that there were not violent extremists in Afghanistan and Pakistan determined to kill as many Americans as they possibly can. But that is not yet the case. That’s why we’re partnering with a coalition of forty-six countries. And despite the costs involved, America’s commitment will not weaken.” He’s partnering with 46 nations? I thought he said Bush (who had more partners) was doing this all alone without support from the world? He won’t weaken our commitment in Afghanistan? So much for bringing troops home.



422. Obama Even Flip-Flops on His Big Ears! – - 6/5/9 – On December 10th, 2006 Barack Obama told Maureen Dowd to stop making fun of his big ears. From Rush Limbaugh and Free Republic: “After his speech was over he made a beeline for Maureen Dowd and the audience. The camera kept rolling…this is what he said to Maureen Dowd. OBAMA (off mic): “You talked about my ears, and I just want to put you on notice: I’m very sensitive about — What at I told them was, ”I was teased relentlessly when I was a kid about my big ears.’” DOWD (purring): We’re trying to toughen you up.” – So it was off limits. Now, the democrat party’s MSNBC division has Athena Jones noting that today in Egypt Obama toured a Pyramid: “President Obama spotted another notable sight: a hieroglyphic that showed the face of a man with big ears. Obama entered the tomb and saw it right away. “That looks like me!” he said. “Look at those ears!”…A few moments later, when aides Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod and Reggie Love descended into the tomb, Obama went back over and showed them the big-eared image, sparking laughs.” So, now it is okay to make fun of his dumbo-sized flying ears. He even flip flops on what is okay to talk about, from his middle name to his ears!
423. Obama Appointment Scandal # 51 – Philip Mudd – - 6/5/9 – Associated Press: “President Barack Obama’s pick for intelligence chief at the Homeland Security Department withdrew from consideration Friday amid questions about his role in the CIA’s interrogations of suspected terrorists. Philip Mudd was scheduled to appear next week before senators considering his nomination as undersecretary of intelligence and analysis. He notified the White House on Friday that he was withdrawing his name because he did not want to be a distraction. At issue was the extent of Mudd’s involvement in the interrogation program while he was a senior CIA official in the Bush administration. The interrogation methods have been criticized by Democratic lawmakers and Obama. “I know that this position will require the full cooperation with Congress and I believe that if I continue to move forward I will become a distraction to the president and his vital agenda,” Mudd said in a statement.”
424. Obama Planned Parenthood Flip Flop - 6/5/9 The socialist-democrat party’s U.S. News & World Report division is even reporting on Obama flip flops now! HOWEVER, they say his flip flops are “for the public good!” Can you imagine them every saying that about a republican?! Here’s one they list: “He once promised Planned Parenthood that his first act as president would be to sign an abortion-rights bill into law. Now he says it is “not my highest legislative priority.”
425. Obama’s Broken Promise to Gays - 6/5/9 The Palin-Hating U.S. Blues & World Socialist Report also mentions this broken promise: “He pledged to gay activists that he would repeal the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, which allows gays to serve in the armed forces if they don’t reveal their sexual preference and gives them the assurance that no one will ask them about it. Instead, he has delayed any action to change the system.”
426. Obama Flip Flop on Letting Banks Repay Bailout Money 6/8/9 The Obama Administration now says it will allow: “some of the nation’s largest banks can pay back billions in federal aid.” From the Washington Post and Fox News. Initially Team Obama was not allowing banks, big or small, to return bailout money they no longer wanted.

Hillary Clinton Invites Jihadist to Tea! - 6/8/9 Fox News: “A Muslim leader invited by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to participate in a conference call after President Obama’s speech in Cairo last week once told a crowd that “the jihad way is the way to liberate your land.” Esam Omeish, a surgeon and community leader who is running for Virginia state assemblyman, made the statements in 2000 at pro-Palestinian rally where he spoke out against Israel and urged Muslims to support the Palestinian liberation movement. “We the Muslims of the Washington Metropolitan area are here today in sub-freezing temperatures to tell our brothers and sisters in (Palestine) that you have learned the way, that you have known that the jihad way is the way to liberate your land,” Omeish said, just three months into the Al-Aqsa uprising that would claim over a thousand lives through Palestinian terrorist attacks..”
428. CIA Director Disagrees with President on Releasing Terrorist Interrogation Info! -- 6/9/9 – Even Obama’s own team members disagree with him! Fox reports: “CIA Director Leon Panetta told a federal judge that releasing documents about the agency’s terror interrogations would gravely damage national security. Panetta sent a 24-page missive to New York federal judge Alvin Hellerstein, arguing that release of agency cables describing tough interrogation methods used on Al Qaeda suspects would tell the enemy far too much about U.S. counterterrorism work.” As we note in our scandal dated 4/17/9: Obama released interrogation details anyway, joining with the ACLU in an attempt to continue campaigning against George W. Bush for another four years.
429. VP Biden’s Latest Gaffe: Trains & Automobiles 6/9/9 – Fox Notes Biden “mistakenly claimed that the planned Hudson River tunnel between New Jersey and Midtown Manhattan would provide a much-anticipated route for automobiles. Problem is, it’s for trains…”Look, this is designed, this totally new tunnel, is designed to provide for automobile traffic. It’s something, as you know, up your way, that’s been in the works and people have been clamoring for for a long time.”
430. Obama Demands “Significant Expansion of Authority”-- 6/10/9 – President Barack Hugo Obama is demanding what even the Associated Press calls a “significant expansion” of his authority. From the AP: “But in a significant expansion of authority, the regulations call for a special compensation overseer who will burrow into the pay practices of some of the country’s biggest enterprises. The administration named Kenneth Feinberg, a lawyer who oversaw payments to families of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, as a “special master” with power to reject pay plans he deems excessive at the seven companies with the biggest injections of public money. Feinberg also would have authority to review compensation for the top 100 salaried employees at those firms.”
431. Obama’s Former Pastor Claims Jews won’t let him talk to the President!- 6/10/9 – In an exclusive interview with Daily Press, “Wright implied that the White House won’t allow Obama to talk to him. “Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me,” Wright said. “I told my baby daughter that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office…”They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. … I said from the beginning: He’s a politician; I’m a pastor. He’s got to do what politicians do.” Wright also said Obama should have sent a U.S. delegation to the World Conference on Racism…but that the president did not for fear of offending Jews and Israel. He specifically cited the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, an influential pro-Israel lobbying group. “Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing (by) the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don’t want Barack talking like that because that’s anti-Israel,” Wright said.
432. Obama Miranda Rights to Terrorists!- 6/11/9 – How far off the left deep end can this neo-socialist President go?! Fox News: A senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee is accusing the Obama administration of quietly ordering the FBI to start reading Miranda rights to suspected terrorists at U.S. military detention facilities in Afghanistan. The move is reportedly creating chaos in the field among the CIA, FBI and military personnel, according to Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. The soldiers, especially, he says, are frustrated that giving high value detainees Miranda rights — the right to remain silent, the right to an attorney — is impeding their ability to pursue intelligence on the battlefield, according to a story first reported by the Weekly Standard. “What I found was lots of confusion and very frustrated people on the front lines who are trying to, well, make Afghanistan successful for the United States and its allies,” said Rogers, who serves on the House Intelligence Committee. Rogers, a former FBI special agent who served in the U.S. Army, just returned from Afghanistan and a visit to Bagram Air Base, where he said the rights are being read.
     “I witnessed it myself, talked to the people on the ground,” he said. “What you have is two very separate missions colliding in the field in a combat zone. Again, anytime that you offer confusion in that environment that’s already chaotic and confusing enough, you jeopardize a soldier’s life.” UPDATE 6/25/9: Fox News quotes U.S. Sen. John Cornyn: “I believe it unnecessarily undermines our ability to gain valuable intelligence from terrorist detainees who would rather talk to their lawyers than to U.S. interrogators. And if this ill-conceived practice is allowed to continue, I fear we are headed down a slippery slope that could lead to dangerous scenarios where American soldiers and Marines are forced to pause and read would-be suicide bombers Miranda rights before detaining them.”
433. Obama Sending Terrorists on Vacation to “Paradise”- 6/11/9 -“Oh Dear, I’m so glad you brought me to Bermuda on our honeymoon! Where else could we be on a beach with Terrorists in swimsuits?!” – Obama Terrorism Policy is a Joke! It’s not funny though. Fox News: “Guantanamo detainees are taking a trip to paradise, as the U.S. government divvies up a group of 17 Chinese Muslims between two island nations better known as vacation getaways than safe havens. Four of the Chinese Turkic Muslims in custody, ethnic Uighurs, have been sent to Bermuda, the administration announced Thursday. Abdul Nasser, one of the four detainees who landed in Bermuda early Thursday morning, issued a statement through his lawyers, saying: “Growing up under communism we always dreamed of living in peace and working in free society like this one. Today you have let freedom ring.” The rest of the detainees are expected to be sent to the South Pacific island of Palau, temporarily, though the deal is not yet final.”

Obama Appointment Scandal # 52 – Says his own National Security Adviser acts like he has Alzheimer’s!!- 6/11/9 – A national security council staff member tells Fox News “that (General Jim) Jones is so forgetful that at times he appears to have Alzheimer’s disease!” OMG. They are throwing their own guy under the bus! The Fox report questions how long Jones will last in his position.
435. IG Gate # 1 – Obama Fires Inspector General who Found wrong-doing by an Obama Supporter!- 6/12/9 – The AP reports Inspector General Gerald Walpin was fired. “Obama’s move follows an investigation by Walpin finding misuse of federal grants by a nonprofit education group led by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who is an Obama supporter and former NBA basketball star. Johnson and a nonprofit education academy he founded ultimately agree to repay half of $847,000 in grants it had received from AmeriCorps.” – Obama can’t hire good people and now we know he can’t even fire the right people. Amazing. UPDATE 6/18/9 – Fox News: “The government watchdog President Obama canned for allegedly being “confused” and “disoriented” fired back sharply Wednesday, saying the White House explanation for removing him was “insufficient,” “baseless” and “absolutely wild.” Gerald Walpin, who until last week was the inspector general for the Corporation for National and Community Service, told FOXNews.com that part of Obama’s explanation was a “total lie” and that he feels he’s got a target on his back for political reasons. “I am now the target of the most powerful man in this country, with an army of aides whose major responsibility today seems to be to attack me and get rid of me,” Walpin said.” UPDATE 6/20/9 Video here shows Johnson both saying he has pull with Michelle and Barack Obama and later that he has no pull with them. UPDATE 9/23/9 From the Washington Examiner: “Republican Sen. Charles Grassley has blocked the ambassadorial nomination of Alan Solomont, currently chairman of the board of the government agency that oversees AmeriCorps, in retaliation for what Grassley says is the administration’s stonewalling of Congress over documents relating to the firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin. Specifically, Grassley has sought, and been denied, information relating to the White House’s role in the decision to fire Walpin.” UPDATE 11/21/9 From the Washington Examiner: “A congressional investigation of the volunteer organization AmeriCorps contains charges that D.C. schools chief Michelle Rhee handled “damage control” after allegations of sexual misconduct against her now fiance, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, a former NBA star and a prominent ally of President Obama, The Washington Examiner has learned. The charges are contained in a report prepared by Sen. Charles Grassley, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, and Rep. Darrell Issa, ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The investigation began after the AmeriCorps inspector general, Gerald Walpin, received reports that Johnson had misused some of the $800,000 in federal AmeriCorps money provided to St. Hope, a non-profit school that Johnson headed for several years. Walpin was looking into charges that AmeriCorps-paid volunteers ran personal errands for him, washed his car, and took part in political
     activities. In the course of investigating those allegations, the congressional report says, Walpin’s investigators were told that Johnson had made inappropriate advances toward three young women involved in the St. Hope program — and that Johnson offered at least one of those young women money to keep quiet.UPDATE 12/26/9: Urban Elephant says Michelle Obama may be involved in this scandal. “Mr. Walpin on June 4 issued the second of two reports to which Mr. Solomont strongly objected. That same day, the White House announced that Mrs. Obama’s chief of staff would move over to a key role at Mr. Solomont’s agency. Mr. Solomont already had been lobbying the White House to fire Mr. Walpin. Five days later, Mr. Solomont met with that chief of staff, and Mr. Walpin was fired the next day, keeping him from being able to do any follow-up work on his two reports (or to finish a third report that was in the works). Yet Mr. Solomont reportedly claimed that he and Ms. Norris did not even discuss any CNCS business, much less anything about Mr. Walpin, at that June 9 meeting.Mr. Issa is right to smell a rat, especially since White House aides reportedly cut short congressional staff questioning of Mr. Solomont when the line of questioning began to lead to Mrs. Obama.” UPDATE 3/5/2010: World Net Daily: “”Throughout our investigation of Mr. Walpin’s removal, the White House has repeatedly communicated that the president was not motivated by inappropriate political reasons,” said Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., one of the authors of the updated report. “The fact is Gerald Walpin led an aggressive investigation of a political ally of President Obama that successfully recovered taxpayer dollars. While firing an investigator who uncovered the abuse of funds by a political ally might be considered an act of ‘political courage’ in Chicago politics, for most Americans it raises troubling questions.”

437. VP Biden says Unemployment is not Worse since he took office!- 6/15/9 – Joe Biden made the astonishingly brainless claim yesterday on Meet the Press that unemployment has not gone up! That despite the fact the unemployment rate is higher now than it has been in the last 26 years, at 9.4%! The host of the show said, “But the point of the stimulus was it would stop the unemployment from getting worse. Right? Wasn’t that the claim?” Biden responded, “And it has. It’s not getting worse.” It has not!

VP Biden denies the administration said Stimulus Bill would keep unemployment below 8%!- 6/15/9 – Joe Biden, on the same Meet the Press program, also said the administration report on the stimulus did not claim the bill would keep unemployment below 8%, when in fact it did make that claim. “Everyone guessed wrong,” he said. So it was all JUST A GUESS??!! Is this man a compulsive liar or just plain stupid? America was told Sarah Palin was the one that wasn’t bright enough…yeah, right.
439. Team Obama kicks Religion off PBS!- 6/16/9 The Obama Administration is reversing a 25-year-old policy allowing religious programs on local PBS television stations. Socialism has no place for religion. Fox reports: “PBS board members,…have decided to enforce a rule banning the broadcasts — a move that spells the beginning of the end for religious shows on public television.

Team Obama to give Federal Benefits to Gay Couples- 6/16/9 – After upsetting his gay friends by defending marriage as between a man and a woman (Gee…Obama sounds like Carrie Prejean) and leaving the don’t ask don’t tell policy alone in the military, Obama now is playing kiss and makeup. AP reports Obama: “…is extending benefits to same-sex partners of federal employees.” UPDATE 6/18/9 – Turns out he only extended SOME benefits to them after someone apparently reminded him he doesn’t have the legal authority to just decide on his own to give them all benefits. Reuters reports Gay activists “said they would continue to press the administration to outlaw workplace discrimination and extend benefits for same-sex couples. “Those things should happen today, should have happened yesterday and they haven’t and until they do there’s going to be a frustration,” said Joe Solomonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay-rights group.”

Obama Broken Promise on Iraq War # 6 – Emergency Spending!- 6/16/9 – From the SayAnythingBlog: “Remember when Obama promised to end the Bush administration’s “budget tricks” by including war funding into the regular budgeting process instead of getting that money through emergency appropriations? Well surprise, surprise Obama and the Democrats are pushing through a war funding bill…through the emergency appropriations process. Just another “say one thing and do another” moment for Obama.” It’s the Obama Pattern! Will the state-run media call him on this one? The House passed the measure today loaded with billions in non-war items! AP notes: “Democratic leaders pushing the bill on behalf of the Obama administration had to overcome an unusual alliance. Anti-war Democrats opposed continued war spending and Republicans condemned $5 billion in the measure to secure a $108 billion U.S. line of credit to the International Monetary Fund for loans to poor countries.”

Obama “No” to Transparency on White House Visits!- 6/16/9 – KOA Radio reports: “Obama, despite his many guarantees that his regime would be the most open, honest and transparent in history, had adopted the Bush administration’s policy of refusing to release the names of White House visitors who had visited Obama in order to influence policy. The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington promised to sue.”
443. Obama’s Law Doesn’t Apply to Him!- 6/18/9 – Sean Hannity on Fox TV: “President Obama’s suspicious firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin is sparking outrage, even in his own party. Democratic senator and staunch Obama ally, Claire McCaskill said Tuesday, “The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying Congress as to the removal of the inspector general. Loss of confidence is not a sufficient reason.” According to a law that was co-sponsored by then-Senator Obama, the president is required to give Congress 30 days notice when he seeks to remove an inspector general. So what part of 30 days does he not understand? By the way, it was his law.” – President Obama thinks he is above his own freaking law! Amazing.

Team Obama Cutting Missile Defense while North Korea threatens U.S.!- 6/18/9 – Fox Reports: “Lawmakers are demanding to know why the president’s proposed 2010 defense budget cuts missile defense by $1.2 billion and does not provide any funds for the European missile defense shield as Iran and North Korea defy the international community with missile testing…At Fort Greeley in Alaska, the missile defense silos can defend the U.S. from both North Korea and Iran, but the Obama budget would cuts the number of interceptor missiles based there from 44 to 30. And that has both Republicans and Democrats asking, why now? “Is this being budget-driven?” Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., asked. “The numbers don’t add up to me,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.” – Meanwhile Obama’s faux “consequences” for North Korea’s actions have done nothing but encouage North Korea to be more bold.

(& Appointment Scandal #54) – Capricia Marshall!- 6/18/9 – The NY Times headline reads “Pick for Protocol Post Corrects Failure to Pay Taxes in 2 years.” From the NY Times: “The nominee, Capricia Penavic Marshall, has placed blame for the problem on the Postal Service and on miscommunication between her husband and their accountant. Ms. Marshall, who was the social secretary in the Clinton White House, notified the Obama administration about the late filings before she was nominated on May 14. She has since provided written answers to questions about the matter from Senator Richard G. Lugar of Indiana, the top Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee, which will hold a hearing on the appointment next Wednesday. The post requires Senate confirmation.”
446. Obama Cuts Funding for Pro-Democracy work inside Iran!- 6/19/9 – While the President claims to support those seeking more freedom in Iran, he’s not putting his money where his mouth is. Newsmax reports: “The Obama administration also has zeroed out funding…from the State Department budget…just as protests in Iran are ramping up. Funding for pro-democracy programs began in 2004, when Congress earmarked $1.5 million of the State Department budget for “educational, humanitarian, and non-governmental organizations and individuals inside Iran to support the advancement of democracy and human rights in Iran.” The funding ramped up dramatically two years later, when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice requested $75 million for pro-democracy programs. More than half of the $66.1 million Congress finally appropriated went to expand U.S. government-funded Persian language broadcasting services at Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. But no money has been earmarked for such programs in the administration’s fiscal 2010 foreign operations budget request. Congressional sources told Newsmax they doubted that a Democrat-controlled Congress would add it when the budget comes before a committee next week.”

The Obama Pentagon was giving a quiz to Department of Defense employees that defined protests as “low-level terrorism!” The President just this week praised those PROTESTING in Iran. However, if you protest HIM back home in the United States of America, you are a terrorist!

Obama Supreme Court Pick Quits Chicks-Only Club- 6/19/9 – Obama’s lefty nominee, Racist Sonia Sotomayor, apparently “forgot” federal judges are bound by a code that says they shouldn’t join any organization that discriminates by race, sex, religion or nationality. Fox News reports: “Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor resigned Friday from an elite all-women’s club after Republicans questioned her participation in it. Sotomayor said she resigned from the Belizean Grove to prevent the issue from becoming a distraction in her confirmation hearings.” – Too late.
449. Obama jokes that media is in bed with him- 6/20/9 – Bill Cosby is funny because he jokes about things that really happen. Obama was funny the other night too, but as Newsbusters put it, “the joke is on us.” World Net Daily reports on Obama’s jokes at the annual press dinner: “”Why bother hanging out with celebrities when I can spend time with the people who made me one?” Obama asked the crowd…”I know where my bread is buttered.” He even joked about sleeping with NBC’s Brian Williams. “A few nights ago, I was up tossing and turning trying to figure out exactly what to say.      Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, Racist Sonia Sotomayor, says despite the fact she was educated in Catholic schools she has “never thought about” the rights of the unborn. Give me a break. Catholic schools talk about this, pray about it and teach about it! She has thought about it. Still, she chose to lie to Conservative American U.S. Senator Jim DeMint. Life News & One News Now report DeMint said: “When I asked if an unborn child has any rights whatsoever, I was surprised that she said she had never thought about it,” he said. “This is not just a question about abortion, but about respect due to human life at all stages — and I hope this is cleared up in her hearings.” Given her comment, DeMint questions whether Sotomayor has an “unwavering commitment to the Constitution and equal justice for all Americans.”
