Harry Reider & the Half-Black Prince are trying to use Harry Potter-style magic to eliminate any chance for bipartisanship. It’s a huge and bold step for Team Obama and it makes his promise to work with republicans in a bipartisan manner a solid piece of you-know-what (that which must not be named).
Fox News says Harry Reider is trying to pull a fast one using something called “reconciliation.” He wants to use it to cram socialist healthcare and green-energy (so-called cap and trade taxes) down the throats of Americans…
“The maneuver, known as “reconciliation,” protects legislation to which it’s attached from a Senate filibuster. Republicans, in their deep minority status, are in an uproar over the possibility that they will be all but eliminated from the legislative process.”
Fox says numerous democrats are against the idea. Republican Mike Johnanns of Nebraska also thinks the idea from Reider and the Half-Black Prince is nonsense:
“Using this procedure would circumvent normal Senate practice and would be inconsistent with the Obama dministration’s stated goals of bipartisanship, cooperation, and openness,”
Yeah, well…what else is new?
