UPDATE 9:37PM - What a farse! They just kicked Rush out of the ownership group trying to buy the Rams. Another victory for lying democrat hypocrites. Enough is enough. This is insanity.

EARLIER POST: Roger Goodell is a hypocrite. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Sheila Jackson-Lee and Jim Irsay are hypocrites. All of those claiming they can’t have the “divisive” Rush Limbaugh involved in the NFL are simply a joke and cannot be taken seriously.

Goodell, the NFL Commissioner told C-BS (C for Couric, BS for what she does) news he won’t stand for Rush Limbaugh’s comments as part of the NFL. Oh, that’s cute coming from the guy who lets Michael Vick play in the NFL! All of the sudden, Goodell has found some type of ethical or moral standard?!

How many stories are on the news about NFL players getting drunk, carrying guns around, behaving badly with women, being involved in crimes and on and on? Don’t go preaching to fans now about high standards in the NFL! That’s a joke!

And another thing, in my book Goodell is a marketing idiot. Anyone who has listened to Rush Limbaugh for any length of time knows how much Rush loves football and the NFL. An attentive ear could easily find him talking on his radio show about a coming NFL game. His enthusiasm for the sport, and for the NFL, would only be good for football. Other conclusions, like Goodell’s, are not based on fact.

I would not want to see those kind of comments from people who are in a responsible position within the NFL. No. Absolutely not.”

A “HIGHER STANDARD?” … He’s kidding, right? They don’t have any high standard in the NFL!

Some so-called quotes from Limbaugh used in recent media reports have been fabricated. They’ll tell you they are talking about the NFL, not politics, but that isn’t true either.

They’ll claim it’s about Donovan McNabb. They’ll point out what Rush said on ESPN: “I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.” They want you to believe that somehow this is worse than Michael Vick having friends over to watch dogs rip other dogs to shreds! Cool, bring the Chips! Give us a freaking break.

Hey Mr. Goodell, if you want to stand up and hold yourselves up to some higher standard, then start getting rid of the thug players you pay millions of dollars to!

It’s more about his politics and the desire to keep Conservatives out of ownership in the NFL. Here’s what the Colts owner Jim Irsay had to say, “”I, myself, couldn’t even consider voting for him,” Irsay said at an owners meetings. “When there are comments that have been made that are inappropriate, incendiary and insensitive … our words do damage, and it’s something that we don’t need.”

Okay Mr. Irsay. Good thing you are so much better than us. How many thugs have you in the past, or do you currently employ? You miss the point that Rush Limbaugh would be the NFL’s loudest cheerleader. He would add to your pocketbook and to the bottom line of all of the owner’s by promoting the NFL. It’s all about money in the NFL, but now Irsay and Goodell want you to think its about some holier-than-thou moral, or ethical standard to avoid controversy!!!

Give me a break. These guys employ a guy who loved torturing and killing dogs. Now they suddenly claim they can’t have something that is “inappropriate, incendiary or insensitive?” Who in the hell do they think they are fooling?
