2009 is almost done and ready for the history books! One thing historians should note is the amazing number of Obama appointment problems and scandals. More than 100 in all! From lobbyists he promised not to have, to numerous people with tax problems. From socialists to Mao-loving Communists! It’s hard to narrow it down to ten, but we managed! On this Christmas Day, we present Obama’s Top 10 Appointment Scandals!

Did you see the Sean Hannity show last night? Six of his “The President’s Top Ten” list had previously been listed on our “Obama’s Most Unwanted List!” Allow us to bask a moment. Great minds think alike (He could have mentioned us…rats). Okay, done with that.
Hannity included these ten: John Holdren, Cass Sunstein, Samantha Power, Harold Koh, David Hamilton, Dawn Johnsen, Kevin Jennings, Mark Lloyd, Rosa Brooks and Carol Browner.
We never even heard of Kevin Jennings until the Hannity show! He has been added now as Appointment Scandal # 73 on the Official Obama Administration Scandals List! Hard to keep up with all these people! (UPDATE 75 Now!)
Both lists featured these six people: Carol Socialist Browner, Rosa Bailout the Press Brooks, Dawn Abortion is Slavery Johnsen, Harold Sharia Law Koh, Cass Animals can go to Court Sunstein and John Sterilize kids at Puberty Holdren.

Promotions airing on the Fox News Channel today are promoting “Obama’s Top 10″ tonight on a “special” edition of the Sean Hannity Show. Leading the way Right, we posted a strikingly similar piece on September 8th, entitled “Obama’s Most Unwanted List.”

We said the ousted Van Jones was just the tip of the iceberg and featured the “Top 9″ others (Ten in all) that need to be shown “the Van Jones door.” So who will Hannity Feature?
Like our list, Hannity will feature Cass Sunstein. This guy is worse than Van Jones and should be booted promptly from the Obama Administration. Our list and Hannity’s list both also feature Dawn Johnsen, John Holdren, and Harold Koh. It looks like (hard to tell from Hannity’s small promotional photographs) his list may also feature Rosa Brooks and Carol Browner, as we did. It sure seems a great deal like our list! Nice to copied by a “Great American,” a great Conservative American, like Sean Hannity! Maybe Hannity will mention us tonight?? Regardless, it’s very cool when one of the “big guys” follows our lead!
Being on the radio, Hannity also will feature Mark Lloyd, the nutty radio Czar. Our post listed all 74 (as of this writing) Obama appointment scandals and ranked each person on the Obama Nut Job Scale! Lloyd scored a 4 out of 5 on the Nut Job Scale, so he didn’t make our top list. But he’s close!

Obama & Holder Break “Don’t Look Back” Promise with CIA Investigation 8/31/9 Right Wing Sparkle: “Once again Obama has lied to us when in April he said he wanted to look forward and not backwards and wouldn’t prosecute CIA interrogators involved in interrogations after 9-11. Attorney General Eric Holder also lied. (Obama:) “Nothing will be gained by spending our time and energy laying blame for the past,” the president added. “For those who carried out some of these operations within the four corners of legal opinions or guidance that had been provided from the White House, I do not think it’s appropriate for them to be prosecuted.” At the time, Holder added: “It would be unfair to prosecute dedicated men and women working to protect America for conduct that was sanctioned in advance by the Justice Department.”
Holder’s Latest Gitmo Flip Flop 9/1/9 – Fox & Friends points out that in 2002 Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, said terrorists held in Guantanamo Bay were not entitled to be treated in accord with the Geneva Convention. Then, last year, Holder said he can’t believe he lives in a country (or as he says, a “nation of cowards”) where the terrorists are not treated in line with the Geneva rules. Glenn Beck’s take? This “game” (our word not his) of prosecuting the Bush CIA Team is all Politics.
Team Obama War on Terror Lingo Flip Flop 9/1/9 – Remember how Team Obama decided it was better to call the terrorists’ war on us an “overseas contigency operation?” The memo went out and the feds no longer call it a “War on Terror.” That was Bush’s thing. White House Spinmeister Robert Brothers Gibbs either screwed up or the White House has flip flopped on its lingo memo! From Fox News: “You can’t under-resource the most important part of our War on Terror, you can’t under-resource that for five or six or seven years — whether it’s under-resourced with troops, whether it’s under-resourced with civilian manpower, whether it’s under-resourced with economic development funding — and hope to snap your fingers and have that turn around in just a few months,” Gibbs said during the daily briefing to reporters. Asked Tuesday whether the use of the phrase was (used) intentionally, Gibbs answered, “We’re focused on getting the strategy right.” …counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan, went beyond that early last month telling reporters that “describing our efforts as a ‘global war’ only plays into the warped narrative that al Qaeda propagates.” UPDATE 1/7/10: The ultra liberal Daily Kos website says we’re wrong about this and that Obama says War on Terror all the time.
Obama’s School Indoctrination Plan – The Fascist Obama Youth Society! 9/2/9 – Obama wants to speak to school kids. No problem. But his White House aides “help” the Education department write lessons where kids are required or encouraged to tell how Obama inspired them, to list ways they can help Obama, and read books about Obama. He’s trying to brainwash your kids into coming home as little Obama Socialists! UPDATE 9/3/9: The Washington Times reports White House staffers admit the plan did not come off very wello and they are “rethinking” and “rewriting” the lesson plans over at the Department of Indoctrination. UPDATE 9/5/9:Weekly Blitz says perhaps Obama could teach people something. Szandor Blestman writes, “One could point out his already broken promises. There are still troops in Iraq. Warfare carried out by American soldiers in other areas has been escalated. Torture of “enemy combatants” continues. No law of the Bush administration, however unconstitutional they may be, has been repealed. A vitriolic and divisive debate on health care reform has been launched to cover up these inadequacies in his policies and keep the support of his left flank from collapsing. In short, there was no change delivered, there will be no change delivered, except for maybe toward a more authoritarian, collectivist model of government, and the hope that we once had for this great nation, the hope of individual freedom and self determination for all mankind, is dwindling with each and every big government program that he tries to force down our throats. It should be explained to these children and maybe some adults that this type of dishonest behavior shouldn’t be tolerated. It isn’t tolerated in the private sector and it shouldn’t be tolerated in the public sector either. It can be explained to the kids that perhaps most people are more than fed up and frustrated by the antics of almost all of our federal government officials, regardless of party, and that perhaps this is why we’ve seen such outbreaks of anger expressed at the recent town hall meetings. UPDATE 9/8/9: Obama gives his pep talk today. Nothing wrong with the talk. It was the fascist lesson plans that went with it that upset us. Fox News reports dems can’t cry foul on this one: “when President George H.W. Bush delivered a similar speech in…1991 to students at a junior high school…Democratic critics went much further and investigated the event, Washington Examiner columnist Byron York reported Tuesday. Democrats, who controlled Congress at the time, ordered the General Accounting Office to probe the production of the speech and later summoned top Bush administration officials to Capitol Hill for a hearing…Rep. William Ford, then chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee,…ordered the probe. “…I am very much interested in the justification, rationale for giving the White House scarce education funds to produce a media event.”
Obama’s Communist Green Jobs Czar calls Republicans A**holes! No class at all. 9/2/9 Commie Van Jones is seen on tape admitting that he, himself, is an A**hole. He also calls republicans the name. If you must, you can view it here
Obama’s Lie to the Joint Session of Congress! 9/3/9 – He hasn’t even given the talk yet, and already Team Obama is announcing the President will lie to the nation! As Fox News reports, “White House aides say the president will not be very specific about details of a health care reform policy, but he will deliver the message that Democrats are willing to go it alone if they can’t get Republican support. ” — ConservativeAmerican.org: What a bunch of bull! “Willing to go it alone?!” They have never needed, nor sought, any republican input or support. Remember Obama saying, “It’s not going to happen like that. I won.” That’s how he feels about Republican support. This has never been about republican support and it is a lie to suggest otherwise.Obama can’t get his own democrats to vote for this stupidity. Fact: Republicans are powerless to do anything about socialist, government-run health care. The democrats run everything. If they want it, all they have to do is stand up and be counted….then face the voters. It’s the last part that scares them.
Obama Friend & Communist Green Jobs Czar Believes 9/11 was an Inside Job! 9/3/9 – Fox News: “Jones joined the“9/11 truther” movement by signing a statement in 2004 calling for then-New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and others to launch an investigation into evidence that suggests “people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.” The statement asked a series of critical questions hinting at Bush administration involvement in the attacks and called for “deeper inquiry.” It was also signed by former Rep. Cynthia McKinney and Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans.” –ConservativeAmerican.org asks: How long until Van Jones resigns/gets fired? His is only one of 60+ (so far) Obama appointment scandals on this list!UPDATE 9/5/9:From Jake Tapper at ABC comes this update necessary to be fair (yes, even to someone like Van Jones)…”It’s worth pointing out that Ben Smith at Politico has spoken to two signatories of that petition, Rabbi Michael Lerner and historian Howard Zinn, who say they were misled about what they were signing. And the conservative website Little Green Footballs points out that Rachel Ehrenfeld, author of “Funding Evil; How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop It” has posted on her website, the American Center for Democracy: “PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld is not a signatory of the 911Truth.org. She has asked several times to have her named removed from the list, but the organization failed to comply.” –UPDATE 9/5/9: Hold your horses! Right Wing News says Van Jones was part of a March in San Francisco to demand the investigation into 9/11 being an inside job!
Obama’s Political Organization Calls those against Obamacare “Right Wing Domestic Terrorists!!” 9/3/9 – The Fox & Friends morning show reported today that Obama’s political group, “Organizing for America” had information about the 9/11 memorial indicating that it was a day to remember the 3,000 Americans killed by terrorists and to renew the fight against “Right Wing Domestic Terrorists” fighting the Obama Agenda!!! These guys are far, far beyond “beyond belief!” They want the CIA in jail, those who oppose are called terrorists, but they give a free plane ride back home to an Afghan Terrorist who attacked U.S. Soldiers and simply set him free!! (See scandal dated 8/25/9) Scandal doesn’t seem like a big enough word.
VP Biden Declares Obama’s Deficit Stimulus Plan a Success Despite Not Delivering Needed Boost in Jobs 9/3/9 – The Associated Democrat Press: “Biden proclaimed success beyond expectations Thursday for the $787 billion economic stimulus, but his glowing assessment overlooks many of the program’s problems, including delays in releasing money, questionable spending priorities and project picks that are under investigation…The administration has struggled to make the case that the huge spending program has delivered real economic recovery at a time when the nation’s unemployment rate threatens to top 10 percent…(Biden) proudly pointed to more than 2,200 highway projects Thursday funded by the program, but didn’t mention the growing frustration among contractors that infrastructure money is only trickling out and thus far hasn’t delivered the needed boost in jobs
Obama Stimulus Screws Up Grants to Airports! 9/3/9 – From the AP: “Biden noted 192 airports targeted for improvements with stimulus money, but made no reference to the investigation launched after a federal watchdog raised concerns about how the projects were selected…the Obama administration used stimulus money to pay for 50 airport projects that didn’t meet the grant criteria and approved projects at four airports with a history of mismanaging federal grants!”
Obama-Biden Waste Millions of Dollars on Military Construction Projects! 9/3/9 – From the AP: “Biden praised the more than 2,400 military construction projects paid for with stimulus money, but ignored the millions of dollars in savings the Defense Department lost because it hasn’t competitively bid many of the jobs. The Defense Department frequently awards no-bid work to small contractors for repairs at military bases under the stimulus, costing taxpayers millions of dollars more than when businesses compete for the work, an Associated Press analysis of 570 such contracts found.” UPDATE 1/18/10: Even the Democrats notice Obama’s no-bid lie.

Obama-Biden Waste Stimulus Money to Repair Bridges that Don’t Need Repairing!!! 9/3/9 – From the AP: “Biden noted that transportation money was replacing unsafe bridges. “It is worthwhile to take some of those 5,000 bridges out there that are ready to collapse, follow what happened in the upper Midwest, and fix them,” he said. But most states are spending stimulus money on bridges that are already in good shape, another AP analysis found. Of the 2,476 bridges scheduled to receive stimulus money so far, nearly half have passed inspections with high marks, according to federal data. Those 1,123 sound bridges received such high inspection ratings that they normally would not qualify for federal bridge money, yet they will share in more than $1.2 billion in stimulus money, the AP analysis published in July found.
Obama & His Broken Promises to Suddenly “Get Tough” 9/4/9 – Rick Klein at ABCDEmocrat News’ “The Note”: “Team Obama has always been a bit better about telegraphing the strategic shifts than in following through — or in following a new course once it’s publicly selected. How many interviews did Axelrod or Obama himself give in 2008 to send the message that the campaign was about to get tougher? And what happened to attacking insurance companies, or making the moral case for health reform, or focusing on consumer protections?” — So will he “get tough” this time when he addresses congress?
Obama’s Abu Ghraib is in Kabul, Afghanistan 9/4/9 – Remember all the heat President Bush took for the Abu Ghraib prison scandal wehre U.S. soliders were caught behaving badly? The story was full of physical, psychological and sexual abuse. Now, President Obama has his own scandal involving the behavior of U.S. soldiers caught behaving badly! This time in Kabul. Fox News: “Defense Secretary Robert Gates responded…to a controversy at the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan by saying the alleged lewd hazing and sexual horseplay among guards at the embassy is “offensive” and “inexcusable.”…a watchdog’s report…was accompanied by graphic photos of nude, homoerotic parties staged just miles from the U.S. diplomatic mission. According to the report, the “deviant hazing and humiliation” had led to a breakdown in the chain of command and compromised security…One photo released by the group showed mostly naked men dancing around a campfire; another showed one man eating food out of another’s buttocks; and another photo showed a naked man peeing in front of others. Alcohol is prevalent in most of the pictures. According to the report, and the personal accounts it included, the behavior was not consensual.POGO said that guards claim the supervisors are hazing and pressuring other guards to participate, creating a “climate of fear and coercion.” Those who do not participate are ridiculed, demoted or even fired.” –ConservativeAmerican.org asks Will Obama be blasted daily in the press the same way Bush was? Will he even have to issue a comment? Don’t count on it.
Obama’s Broken Promise on Hardship withdrawals from IRA’s 9/5/9 – The St. Petersburg Times’ “Obameter” says this promise has been broken: “We’ve tracked this promise on penalty-free 401(k) withdrawals since President Barack Obama took office. It seems like it’s time (4/10/09) to stick a fork in it and declare it done. The measure, which Obama proposed during the fall of 2008 as the economy was swooning, would have allowed workers to take money from their 401(k) retirement accounts before retirement, but without the usual penalty of 10 percent on top of regular taxes. The idea was to help cash-strapped workers get through hard times without having to absorb penalties for their bad fortune.” — ConservativeAmerican.org notes: The Obameter has tons of catching up to do, listing only a handful of broken promises.
Obama’s So-Called “Tough” Ethical Standards get Waived Over and Over and Over! — Appointment Scandal # 65 9/7/9 – Remember when President Obama promised “the strongest ethics standards in U.S. government history?” Jake Tapper at ABC News reports the Obama Administration simply issues waivers to get around the rules! He notes 10 waivers announced this labor day weekend when no one is watching! From Tapper: “Waivers…allow the officials to participate with persons with whom, and entities with which, “the appointees formerly had a professional relationship,” Eisen wrote, “because there was a compelling public interest in allowing it.” — ConservativeAmerican.org notes: Gosh, there never could have been a “compelling public interest” with other presidents before, Riiiiiiiiiiiight? Gee, Obama is so much better than all of them. *Gag*. Tapper Again: Waiver # 1: NASA administrator Charles Bolden; Bolden served as a consultant to the science, engineering, and technology corporation SAIC, which has billions in government contracts, and on the board of directors of aerospace and defense giant GenCorp. The President’s ethics rules would otherwise prohibit Bolden from participaring in any matter in which SAIC or GenCorp was a party in any way. That was waived because Bolden’s “knowledge of and expertise in current NASA programs are essential to making informed and timely decision-making.” — ConservativeAmerican.org comments: This wouldn’t even be a Scandal if Obama had not promised to be soooooooo different and changey and have all of these promised tough ethical standards. The guy is a fraud and a fake.

Obama Appointment Scandal # 66, Lobbyist Scandal #8 – Naomi Walker 9/7/9 – Jake Tapper at ABC News reports another Ethics Rules Waiver went to: “Associate Deputy Secretary of Labor Naomi Walker; Walker was Director of State Government Affairs for the AFL-CIO but has been permitted to communicate with that organization because, the Obama administration decided, prohibiting her from doing so would be detrimental to the Department of Labor and the AFL-CIO’s 11 million members. She is still prohibited for the next two years to participate in any matter having to do with regulations or contracts involving the AFL-CIO.” — ConservativeAmerican.org’s take: OMG! Another gift to his lefty socialist-democrat union pals!! There have been Seven other lobbyists appointed too! These include Leon Panetta (Scandal dated 1/5/9), Bill Lynn (Scandal 1/22/9), William Corr (Scandal 1/22/9), Mark Patterson (Scandal 1/26/9), Jocelyn Frye (3/10/9), Cecilia Munoz (3/10/9), and Richard Verna (3/20/9).
Obama Appointment Scandal # 67 – Ash Carter 9/7/9 – Tapper’s other reported Ethics Rules Waivers went to: “Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Ash Carter; Carter was a consultant for defense giant Textron, Inc. focusing on strategy and mergers and acquisitions, trends in military technology and strategy, and how and where military platforms and weapon systems could be deployed effectively. Carter also provided advice on the Sensor Fuzed Weapon, a cluster bomb used by the U.S. Air Force…in the view of the Obama administration, “national security challenges require your expertise and judgment in making sound acquisition decisions on major defense programs, several of which involve Textron or one of its subsidiaries.” — Remember the no Lobbyists Promise??!!
Obama Appointment Scandal # 68 – Lanny Breuer, Bizarre Conflict of Interest Okay with Team Obama! 9/7/9 – “Attorney General Eric Holder and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer previously worked for the law firm Covington & Burling…(Both) are permitted to cooperate and participate in the investigation into possible prosecutorial misconduct in the case of U.S. v Theodore Stevens even though government lawyers whose conduct is in question are represented by both law firms.” David “Playboy” Ogden also is involved in this Scandal. Obama Appointment Scandal # 69 – Philip Reitinger 9/7/9 – “Deputy Under Secretary for National Protection and Programs Directorate and Director of the National Cybersecurity Center in the Department of Homeland Security Philip Reitinger; Reitinger worked for Microsoft Corportation as Chief Trustworthy Infrastructure Strategy from 2003 until March 2009. Because of his “unique expertise, industry perspective and responsibilities for cyber programs,” he is permitted to deal with Microsoft;
Obama Appointment Scandal # 70 – Margot Rogers 9/7/9 “Senior Counselor to the Secretary of Education Margot Rogers…worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which works on education issues. (She is) allowed to have communications with that charitable foundation;”
Obama Appointment Scandal # 71 – James Shelton 9/7/9 “Department of Education Assistant Deputy Secretary for Innovation and Improvement James Shelton…worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which works on education issues. (He is) allowed to have communications with that charitable foundation;”
Obama Appointment Scandal # 72 – Aaron Williams 9/7/9 “Peace Corps director Aaron Williams; Williams served on the board of directors of the National Peace Corps Association, and is now prohibited from participating in any matter involving specific parties that is directly and substantially related to NPCA.”
Obama Appointment Scandal # 73 – Valerie Jarrett 9/7/9 Tapper also reports on others who received rules waivers. They include: “Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett, the former Vice Chair of the non-profit entity “Chicago 2016,” who is leading the White House’s efforts to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago;”– See related Valerie Jarrett Scandal dated 12/18/2008. UPDATE 10/1/9: Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton says Jarrett is “not only a slumlord from Chicago but she also funded other slumlords. She served — and we sent our investigators out to Chicago to get the documents — she served on the boards of several organizations that provided funding and support for Tony Rezko and Allison Davis. Allison Davis was the former boss of Obama.”

Obama Lies to Congress # 1 – Promises to give Americans the “Same Opportunity” as Congress! 9/9/9 – President Obama has no problem speaking lies. You can see a list of his repeated lies from his address to congress by clicking here. He also told some new ones. He told congress that it’s about time Washington gives Americans “the SAME OPPORTUNITY we give ourselves!” This line also got applause. Odd. Democrats have defeated any measure that would require congress to take part in the public option. So if we get the SAME OPPORTUNITY, can we skip out on the public option too? What if our employer goes to this plan? Then we have no choice. That’s not exactly the SAME OPPORTUNITY, is it?
Obama Lies to Congress # 2 – Health Care is “to the Breaking Point.” 9/9/9 – Obama told congress that the U.S. health care system is “to the breaking point.” This is an absolute falsehood with more than 70% of Americans happy with their health care. He does not have the power to keep that promise. Companies will opt out of their skyrocketing insurance costs and will instead put their employees on the government-run socialist plan. Despite the president’s promises that nothing will change for you, everything could change…and pronto! Biz Times says “health benefits survey says payroll penalty would be bargain for most local companies! Nearly three out of four Milwaukee-area companies could lower their health care costs by 20 percent or more if they scrapped their current plan and paid the 8 percent payroll penalty proposed by Congress, according to the new 2010 Greater Milwaukee Health Care Benefit Survey. Seventy-three percent of employers who responded to the HCTrends.com survey reported that health care benefits represented at least 10 percent of their total payroll costs. Electing to pay the 8 percent penalty instead would reduce their health care costs by 20 percent. Obama Lies to Congress # 7 -Public Option is not a Government Takeover! 9/9/9 – Obama tells congress his Obamacare Public Option is not a government takeover of healthcare. Shikha Dalmia of Forbes has done a great jobexplaining these big healthcare lies. “Obama has repeatedly claimed that forcing private plans to compete with a public plan will simply “keep them honest” and give patients more options–not lead to a full-blown, Canadian-style, single-payer monopoly. As I argued in my previous column, this is wishful thinking given that government programs such as Medicare have a history of controlling costs by underpaying providers, who make up the losses by charging private plans more. Any public plan modeled after Medicare will greatly increase this forced subsidy, eventually driving private plans out of business, even if that weren’t Obama’s intention. But, as it turns out, it very much is his intention. Before he decided to run for office–and even during the initial days of his campaign–Obama repeatedly said that he was in favor of a single-payer system. What’s more, University of California, Berkeley Professor Jacob Hacker, who is a key influence on the Obama administration, is on tape explicitly boasting that a public plan is a means for creating a single-payer system. “It’s not a Trojan horse,” he quips, “it’s just right there.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 8 -Obama Lied About Insurance Case! 9/9/9 Sweetness & Light: “One man from Illinois lost his coverage in the middle of chemotherapy because his insurer found that he hadn’t reported gallstones that he didn’t even know about. They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it.” This is the sad story of Mr. Otto Raddatz, a case that Mr. Obama has cited several times before, including in his August 16th editorial in the New York Times. For the record, however, the case is not exactly the way Mr. Obama has characterized it, at least according to the sworn testimony of Mr. Raddatz’s sister…Mr. Raddatz’s lawyer sister contacted the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. They investigated and found that the doctor who did the CT scans could not remember whether he had ever told Mr. Raddatz about his findings. Consequently, the insurance company overturned their original decision to rescind her brother’s coverage, and he was reinstated in the words of his sister, “without [any] lapse.” — ConservativeAmerican.org notes: Remember when Obama said others were not telling the truth about health care? He even accused Sarah Palin of lying. He should look in the mirror once in a while.

Brent Bozell notes, “”Barack Obama will not stop committing serial dishonesty with the American people until the media expose his false figures and bogus exaggerations for what they are: fraudulent scare tactics. “Last night Obama told a litany of lies. He said the total cost of his health reform would be $900 billion over ten years, but even the government-run Congressional Budget Office found it would cost $1.6 trillion.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 10 -Obama says he’s not trying to build “An Entirely New System from Scratch!” 9/9/9 Real Clear Politics adds this lie to the list: “I believe it makes more sense to build on what works and fix what doesn’t, rather than try to build an entirely new system from scratch. And that is precisely what those of you in Congress have tried to do over the past several months. Does it take a thousand pages of legislation to not “disrupt one-sixth of our economy”? The reality is that the proposals he advocates would create a vast new bureaucracy from scratch, with sweeping powers to regulate private health-insurance plans-eventually including employer-provided plans-and forcing individual health-insurance plans to be offered on a government-controlled “exchange.” It is a plan for the comprehensive restructuring of the health-insurance industry-but Obama wants you to think that he’s not really doing anything. Which makes you realize that he doesn’t want to you notice or think too hard about what he is doing.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 11 -Obama Claims ObamaCare Nightmare is Bipartisan! 9/9/9 Real Clear Politics catches this distortion of the truth: “This is another attempt to deflect scrutiny by claiming that everything he is proposing is safe, bland, anodyne. Thus, his plan “incorporates ideas from many of the people in this room tonight-Democrats and Republicans.” Which explains why Obama has so few Republican votes that his allies in Congress are now talking about ramming the bill through, in a dubious parliamentary maneuver, on Democratic votes alone.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 12 – Claims He’s Always been for Health Choices!! 9/9/9 Real Clear Politics: “Here’s a tip: when Barack Obama says, “So let me set the record straight,” he is about to lie to you about his past. Thus, in rebutting the claim that he wants a “government takeover” of medicine, he assures us that “My guiding principle is, and always has been, that consumers do better when there is choice and competition.” So how is it that he was recorded only six years ago describing himself as an advocate of a Canadian style “single payer” system-the very opposite of “choice and competition”?” — And, if he really wants choices...let people buy insurance accross state lines!
Obama Lies to Congress # 13- About Buying Insurance on Your own 9/9/9 National Review Online did its own fact-checking on the Obama address to congress and they added a few to our list on 9/28/9. OBAMA: “Buying insurance on your own costs you three times as much as the coverage you get from your employer.” The Congressional Budget Office writes, “Premiums for policies purchased in the individual insurance market are, on average, much lower — about one-third lower for single coverage and one-half lower for family policies.” It is true that individual insurance policies are generally 30 percent less comprehensive than employer-provided insurance, and comparable individual policies are about twice as expensive. But much of the extra cost is a function of the tax penalty on purchasing such insurance and the stunted market that penalty has yielded.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 14- About Americans Losing Insurance Coverage 9/9/9 National Review Online add another to the “Joe Wilson ‘You Lie!’ List!” – OBAMA: “And every day, 14,000 Americans lose their coverage.” The paper that generated this estimate assumed that two months of severe job losses would continue forever. Applying that paper’s methodology to a broader period of rising unemployment (January 2008 through August 2009) produces a figure below 9,000.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 15 – About Why Employees Have to Pay More of their Insurance Costs 9/9/9 National Review Online: OBAMA: “Rising costs are “why so many employers . . . are forcing their employees to pay more for insurance.” Perhaps no other issue generates as much of a consensus among health-care economists as this one: The “employer’s share” of employees’ health-care costs comes out of those employees’ wages, not out of profits. In this comment and in five others in his speech, Obama contradicts that basic truth. Employers aren’t forcing their employees to pick up a larger share of the bill because they can’t. Workers are already paying the entire bill.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 16 – Saying U.S. Business can’t compete globally because of Rising Health Insurance Costs 9/9/9 National Review Online reports even Obama appointees Peter Orszag and Christina Romer think this statement is bogus!!! OBAMA: “Rising costs are “why American business that compete internationally . . . are at a huge disadvantage.” False. The rising cost of health benefits does not increase employers’ labor costs because, again, wages adjust downward to compensate. The Congressional Budget Office, under the leadership of Obama’s OMB director, Peter Orszag, confirmed that health-care costs do not hinder competitiveness. Obama economic aide Christina Romer has called this competitiveness argument “schlocky.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 17- The Hidden Growing Tax Lie 9/9/9 National Review Online OBAMA: “Those of us with health insurance are also paying a hidden and growing tax for those without it — about $1,000 per year that pays for somebody else’s emergency room and charitable care.” That number comes from a left-wing advocacy group. A Kaiser Family Foundation study debunked the group’s analysis, reaching an estimate closer to $200 per year for a family. The CBO report mentioned above reached the same conclusion.”
Obama Lies to Congress # 18 – About Special Interests Fighting the ObamaCare Nightmare 9/9/9 National Review Online: OBAMA: “I won’t stand by while the special interests use the same old tactics to keep things exactly the way they are.” Who are these special interests? In case Obama hadn’t noticed, everyone from the drug-makers to the unions to the insurance companies he demonizes are spending millions to build momentum for his version of reform — in no small part because Obama has promised to buy them off with middle-class tax dollars. When President Obama makes a factual claim about health-care policy, he does not deserve the benefit of the doubt about its accuracy. We do not know whether he has been badly misinformed or is deliberately trying to mislead. Obama Lobbyist Scandal # 6 Cecilia Munoz 3/10/9- Another Lobbyist for the still-no-lobbyists Obama Administration. Cecilia Munoz got a waiver to be director of governmental affairs. And with how many affairs these politicians have, she likely will be busy. (Oh, C’mon….that was too funny!). UPDATE 4/22/9 Fox Reports a top Obama adviser said “the brakes were applied after the third waiver (for Munoz) was issued, saying the White House feared it was on “kind of a slippery slope. You learn from your experiences.”The question that had been raised at that point, the adviser said was, “Are we unwittingly going down a road we shouldn’t be?”
Obama Transparency Lie on Bank Bailouts 3/10/9- Another lie from Barack Obama. Remember the bit about being transparent? Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner and Ben the Fed Reserve Chair Bernanke both refuse to tell the American people which banks got bailout money and how much was paid for assets. They say that would be too hard! Melanie Sloan from Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington told Fox News: “It’s taxpayer dollars, and we as taxpayers then have a right to know where that money is going,” she said. “And I just can’t understand why there should be any secrecy about that.”
Obama Tax Cheat Scandal # 6 (And Appointment Scandal #29) Caroline Atkinson 3/12/9 – nominated for Undersecretary for International Affairs, Atkinson is told to withdraw because of a “tax problem.” ABCDEmocrat News’ George Step-in-a-lot-of-it tries to spin the Obama failures to pick good people into a positive by saying, “dozens of candidates…have been forced to pull out because they couldn’t meet…Obama’s ethics standards!” That’s because he doesn’t have any!
Obama Appointment Scandal #30 Annette Nazareth – ABCDEmocrat News reports 3/12/9 that Obama’s pick for Deputy Treasury Secretary is forced to withdraw after “senators made it clear she would face tough questioning over her time at the Securities and Exchange Commission — tenure that overlapped with the agency’s failure to catch Bernie Madoff.“

Obama’s Foreign Car Drivers Blunder 3/12/9- Obama appoints a bunch of people to a Car Czar committee and 16 of the 18 don’t even drive American cars!
Obama’s VP Mixed up with Financial Fraud Scheme 3/12/9- A firm controlled by rogue financier Allen Stanford, marketed a fund managed by Vice-president Joe Biden’s sons, Hunter and James. The $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens’ Paradigm Global Advisors and a Stanford Financial Group entity, mixed up in an $8-billion fraud case.
Obama Breaks Promise to Limit Earmarks to 1994 levels! 3/12/2009 World Net Daily reports, “Obama and Biden will slash earmarks to no greater than 1994 levels and ensure all spending decisions are open to the public.” However, watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense reports that the omnibus pork alone already totals $7.7 billion – just less than the total of $7.8 billion in earmarks in 1994.”
Obama’s Line by Line Lie – White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs admitted President Obama lied. Gibbs told reporters the President did not go through the omnibus spending bill line by line. During the campaign, Obama promised to review every bill “page by page, line by line!” to get rid of pork.
Obama’s Biggest Lie Yet: The Economy Lie 3/13/9 -His Lie: “I’ve never bought into these Malthusian, woe, Chicken Little, the earth is falling. I tend to be pretty optimistic.” This from the guy who said “economic catastrophe,” “might not ever recover,” “unable to reverse,” “create a negative spiral,” “Could become dramatically worse,” “Economic crisis could linger for years,” and on and on. Obama’s Health Tax Flip Flop -3/14/9 Candidate Obama on a televised debate: “For the first time in American history, he wants to tax your health benefits. Apparently, Senator McCain doesn’t think it’s enough that your health premiums have doubled. He thinks you should have to pay taxes on them too.” NY Times 3/14/9: “The Obama administration is signaling to Congress that the president could support taxing some employee health benefits.”
Obama’s “Fundamentally Sound” Economy Flip-flop 3/16/9-After making fun of John McCain for saying the fundamentals of the economy were sound during the campaign, and now that the economy is much worse, the Obama Pancake House now says the fundamentals are strong! As Obama said in his own TV ad, how can this guy lead when he doesn’t even know there is a problem?
Obama & Geithner’s AIG Lie – Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner and President Obama say the 2 were unaware of the extent of the AIG bonuses until March 10th, a lie. Fox Business reports emails prove the US Treasury knew about the AIG bonuses last November. RushLimbaugh says (see video here) a democrat congressmen asked Geithner about the bonuses on March 3rd! So Geithner and Team Obama’s street gang knew about this at least one week earlier than they say. UPDATE 3/18/9 Obama says about AIG bonuses “I’ll take responsibility, I’m the President.” UPDATE 3/24/9: Geithner repeats his March 10th lie in front of congress, despite the video.
Obama Broken AIG Executive Pay Pledge 3/17/9- In February, the President promised to crack down on executive pay for companies that take “exceptional” amounts of socialist bailout money. AIG has taken $170-billion and has another $30-billion on the way from Team Obama. Yet the President broke his pledge and did nothing to stop 73 AIG execs from taking home bonuses of between $1-and-$6.4-million bucks each!
Obama Appointment Scandal #32 – Vivek Kundra 3/17/9- Business Insider: America’s CIO Vivek Kundra, “a man we [Buinsess Insider] called on to resign this morning, is back on the job.” Vivek is part of an ongoing FBI investigation into financial kickbacks at his old offices.” FBI arrests two of Kundra’s co-workers. UPDATE 10/16/9: From ComputerWorld.com: “A week after Kundra was appointed to the White House post, federal law enforcement officials filed bribery charges against Yusuf Acar, the department’s acting chief security officer, in connection with what prosecutors alleged were a number of schemes developed to defraud the District of thousands of dollars. The scheme involved adding non-existent employees, or “ghost workers”,” to the city payroll. Payments were allegedly made to those “workers.” After the arrests, Kundra took a leavefrom his new federal post. Once the Obama administration determined that Kundra was not connected to the bribery scheme, he returned to the post. “

Obama Appointment Scandal #33 – David Hamilton 3/17/9- Obama’s first judicial appointment to the 7th circuit US Court of Appeals, (a former ACORN volunteer) Hamilton In 2003 struck down part of an Indiana law requiring abortion clinics to give women information about alternatives to abortion in the presence of a physician or nurse. God forbid! What kind of society would give them “alternatives?!” The information had to be given to women 18 hours before the procedure, requiring them to make two visits to the doctor’s office to obtain the procedure. The Hamilton Pro-Abortion decision was overturned on appeal. In 2005, the former ACLU Board member ruled the daily invocation at the Indiana House too often referred to Jesus Christ and a Christian god, in violation of the Constitution, which forbids the government to show preference for any religious denomination. That Hamilton decision also was overturned on appeal. Obama said next time (it’s always next time with him), he will talk with republicans first because he wants to “put the confirmation wars behind us.” The ‘wars’ are the ones Obama took part in when he voted against John Roberts and Samuel Alito. UPDATE 11/17/9: Fox News reports, “Democrats, with a bit of Republican help, voted 70-29 to limit debate on U.S. District Judge David Hamilton, exceeding the 60 votes needed and assuring his confirmation to the Chicago-based appeals court by a simple majority of the 100-member Senate…Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., voted against ending the debate on Hamilton. “Judge Hamilton is the definition of an activist judge and is clearly not qualified to sit on a court of appeals,” he said in a written statement. “Judge Hamilton, who spent years working with the ACLU and ACORN, has used his position on the bench to drive his personal political agenda.” UPDATE 11/19/9 – Judge Hamilton gets confirmed.
Obama Thanks Himself Stumble – John Romano at Big Hollywood: 3/19/9 – Video of the event with Obama and Brian Cowen has not been released…(it) shows Obama oftentimes has no idea what is on that teleprompter before he reads it and therefore, as he did on St. Patrick’s Day, ends up doing things like thanking himself for inviting everyone to the White House! An endearing gaffe between two national leaders? Or President Obama sincerely thanking President Obama for inviting everyone to the White House? The fact that the video has been suppressed may be very telling. “Mr. Obama is an accomplished orator but is becoming known in America as the ‘teleprompt president’ over his reliance on the machine when he gives a speech.” — Sky News, 3/18
Obama Terrorist Scandal # 4 -Release them in the States! 3/19/9- Fox reports: Obama’s AG. Eric Let Em Go Holder says for “people who can be released there are a variety of options that we have and among them is the possibility is that we would release them into this country.” Pure lunacy.
Obama Administration Seeks Unprecedented Powers over Private Industry – 3/19/9 The Charlotte Observer says Obama wants: “new powers to seize troubled companies such as AIG – and take ownership of their toxic assets – if their collapse would threaten the financial system. His administration will propose…a “resolution authority” that would have powers similar to those of the FDIC, which can seize control of banks, take over bad assets and sell good ones.” No details (of course) on how they would pay for such a plan.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Russian Reset Gaffe March, 2009 – Fox News: “During a March meeting in Geneva with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, she presented a gift-wrapped red button that said “Reset” in English and “Peregruzka” in Russian. The problem was, “peregruzka” doesn’t mean reset. It means overcharged, or overloaded. “You got it wrong,” Lavrov said.”
Obama Comedian Gaffe # 2: Makes Fun of Special Olympians 3/20/9- Obama tells Jay Leno on the Tonight Show that he bowled a low 129 and laughed “It was like the Special Olympics or something.” Not funny to special olympians who work hard, train hard and compete to the best of their abilities. The distasteful joke is the latest blunder for the President who can’t speak without his teleprompter. Fox reports on what Tim Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics said: “I think it’s important to see that words hurt and words do matter. And these words that in some respect can be seem as humiliating or a put down to people with special needs do cause pain and they do result in stereotypes.”
Obama: No Press at Press Award Ceremony? – 3/20/9 The LA Times was not amused: “The National Newspaper Publishers Association named Obama ‘Newsmaker of the Year.’ The president is to receive the award from the federation of black community newspapers in a White House ceremony this afternoon. The Obama White House has closed the press award ceremony to the press.”
Obama Hurts American Businesses over 97 Trucks! – 3/20/9 Charles Krauthammer: “There are more than 6.5 million trucks in the United States. The program Congress terminated allowed 97 Mexican trucks to roam among them. Ninety-seven! Shutting them out not only undermines NAFTA. It caused Mexico to retaliate with tariffs on 90 goods affecting $2.4 billion in U.S. trade coming out of 40 states.”
Obama Lobbyist Scandal #7 Richard Verma 3/20/9- Jen Demascio of the Politico reports: Obama’s pledge to prevent lobbyists from his administration from working on issues they had advocated for, is being tested again. His no lobbyist-administration says the pick for assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs, Richard Verma, would not need a waiver because he had not lobbied the State Department. Senate records, however, indicate that Verma had lobbied the State Department. Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said those records were wrong and were “corrected” to exclude the State Department on Jan. 23 – two days after Obama announced his new no-lobbyist rules! Convenient. UPDATE 4/22/9 Top Adviser to Obama says “the toughest promise to keep has been on reducing the role of lobbyists.” Some sources say Obama has had 17 lobbyists already!
Obama Terrorist Scandal # 5 -Moderate Taliban 3/20/9- Even the Taliban agree with our 3/8/9 post saying Obama is off his rocker for thinking there are moderate Taliban he can negotiate with. A terrorist spokesman (this is indeed a strange world) said, “I do not know why they are talking about moderate Taliban and what it means. If it means those who are not fighting and are sitting in their homes, then talking to them is meaningless. This really is surprising the Taliban.”
Terrorist Scandal # 6: Terror is Nothing to Fear!KOA Radio’s Gunny Bob reports “In a March 2009 interview in Der Spiegel magazine, Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano stated that in her view the appropriate term for acts of terror is not terrorism, but rather “man-caused disasters,” as the latter term “move(s) away from the politics of fear.” You see, terror isn’t really something to fear. (?)
Obama’s False Gas Mileage Claim -3/21/9 Obama claims: ‘The 1908 Model T — think about this — the 1908 Model T earned better gas mileage than the typical SUV in 2008… Think about that: 100 years later, and we’re getting worse gas mileage, not better, on SUVs.’ Ford says Model T’s got as low as 13 mpg while most SUV’s get 18+.
Obama Scandal – Selected To Give Commencement Address at Notre Dame – 3/21/9 The Cardinal Newman Society says, “It is an outrage and a scandal that ‘Our Lady’s University,’ one of the premier Catholic universities in the United States, would bestow such an honor on President Obama given his clear support for policies and laws that directly contradict fundamental Catholic teachings on life and marriage.”
Obama Confused About Who Runs Italy -3/22/9 Pajamas Media: Obama “sent a letter to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano (a member of the now defunct Communist Party), expressing confidence that the US & Italy would work together “to overcome the current global political & economic hardships & build a safer world.” The only problem was that the Italian president does not make policy; that power resides with the prime minister & his cabinet…instead of addressing himself to Prime Minister Silvio (Obama has a nice even Tan) Berlusconi, Obama wrote to a man who holds an almost entirely ceremonial position.
Obama Plays Both Sides of Economy- He says it could take a long time for the economy to improve and told the press on 3/24/9 that patience was needed. At the same time, Obama’s own budget forecasts the recession will continue through this year but with a relatively shallow 1.2 percent decline in the gross domestic product. It predicts solid growth of more than 3% each year after that.
Obama Pessimism and Optimism: Same Thing- 3/24/9 One moment he claims “even under the most pessimistic estimates” he will cut the budget deficit in half in 10 years and Fox Reports the next minute explaining the differences between his $2.3-Trillion predicted budget deficit projections and CBO’s $9.3-Trillion figure, Obama said his administration projects a higher growth rate.”
Obama’s Blue Chip Lie- 3/24/9 The president claims his optimistic budget assumptions are “perfectly consistent with what blue chip forecasters out there are saying.” Fox News says that’s not true: “1.9% vs 1.2%. Then…growth of only 2.1% next year, instead of 3.2%, and less than 3% in each of the next 3 years, when the administration’s forecasts are for 4% or better.”
Obama Plans to Help Irresponsible Homeowners- The Prez claims his housing bailout helps “responsible homeowners” stay in their homes. His team disagrees. Fed Chair Bernanke says “it means assistance will go to some who should have known better than to get in over their heads.” THe FDIC chair says its impractical to think they could examine every delinquent loan and weed out those taken by people who overstated their income or assets to get a mortgage they couldn’t afford.
Obama’s War on the Military- 3/24/9 The President wants to stop paying bills for injured veterans! He wants their private insurance companies to pay first. Of course that won’t force insurance companies to raise rates for those in the military…will it?!
Obama Fails to Consult Congress- 3/24/9 The Washington Times: “President Obama failed to consult Congress, as promised, before carving out exceptions to the omnibus spending bill he signed into law — breaking his own signing statement rules two days after issuing them — and raised questions among lawmakers and committees who say the president’s objections are unclear at best and a power grab at worst.” –After blasting Bush for using Signing Statements to bypass congress and promising he would never do that, Obama breaks his word again. Despite those grand words, the NY Times says: “President Obama on Wednesday issued his first signing statement, reserving a right to bypass dozens of provisions in a $410 billion government spending bill even as he signed it into law. In the statement — directions to executive-branch officials about how to carry out the legislation — Mr. Obama instructed them to view most of the disputed provisions as merely advisory and nonbinding, saying they were unconstitutional intrusions on his own powers. Mr. Obama’s instructions followed by two days his order to government officials that they not rely on any of President George W. Bush’s provision-bypassing signing statements without first consulting Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. In that order, Mr. Obama said he would continue the practice of issuing signing statements, though “with caution and restraint, based only on interpretations of the Constitution that are well founded.” –ConservativeAmerican.org’s take: More blazing lies from the left.
Obama Appointment Scandal # 34 – Christopher Hill 3/25/9- Washington Times: “nominee for ambassador to Iraq, is a disconcerting choice…the current assistant sec. of state for East Asian & Pacific affairs, he presided over negotiations with N. Korea that deliberately minimized focus on the bleak human rights record…ignored its nuclear proliferation, & had the practical effect of affirming its nuclear weapons capability. Hill also has a troubling hotdog tendency to play by his own rules. A letter signed by Sen. Brownback & 4 other senators notes Hill’s “evasive & unprofessional activities” including “sidelining key officials” & “breaking commitments” to Congress…in July 2005…he violated U.S. policy and express orders from superiors by meeting with N. Korean Vice Minister Kim Kye-gwan in Berlin to revive the 6-Party talks….Japanese magazine Shukan Gendai [reported]…Pyongyang is conducting back-channel diplomacy directly to the Obama White House, courtesy of Hill…worth examining…” Us: Could it be Bill Clinton?Times: “Hill, as portrayed in David Sanger’s book The Inheritance, gripes about the Bush administration…”these [expletives] don’t know how to negotiate.” He said that hard-line demarches favored by “neocons” were worse than the terms offered at Appomattox. But the inescapable fact is that N. Korea…in 2006…tested its first atom bomb. Hill’s crowning achievement was having N. Korea taken off the list of terrorist states….We [Times] wonder if Hill will speak firmly to Iran regarding Iranian weapons, training & intelligence support being used to destabilize Iraq & kill Americans, or dismiss those matters as impediments to reaching a “grand bargain” with Iran.” UPDATE 9/18/9: While Hill did not make the Sean Hannity “President’s Top Ten” list, he did make our “Obama’s Most Unwanted List!” which was published prior to the Hannity show.
Obama Gun Rights Flip Flop # 2 – Candidate Obama: ‘I have no intention of taking away folks’ guns.’ 2/25/9 ABC reports President Obama now says through his Attorney General Eric Let Em Go Holder, “there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons” UPDATE 4/25/9 MSNBC reports: “Permanently reinstating a ban on assault weapons…100 days into his presidency, President Obama says it remains a goal…President Obama and Vice-President Biden, “support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent,” the White House website declares.”
Obama Appointment Scandal # 35: Joseph Cannon – 3/25/9 Obama’s pick for number two at the EPA, Joe Cannon, takes himself out of the running after reports surface that the grants made by the “America’s Clean Water Foundation,” where he was a board member, were under “scrutiny” and funds had been embezzled.
Obama Apology Tour # 2- Apologizing for USA causing Problems in Mexico – 3/25/9 Fox News: “I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility (for drug-fueled violence in Mexico). … Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade. Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the deaths of police officers, soldiers and civilians.”

Obama Funds Company to Profit From Green Energy Agenda -3/25/9 Fox: Obama served as a Chicago-based Joyce Foundation board member and voted to fund a carbon trading exchange that “is likely to fill a critical role in the controversial cap-and-trade carbon reduction scheme that Obama is now trying to push rapidly through Congress” (to the dismay of 28 senators). The grants helped develop & launch the privately-owned Chicago Climate Exchange, which now calls itself “North America’s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases.” So, Like Gore before him, Obama pushes green to make green. Then Joyce Foundation Prez, Paula DiPerna, now is conveniently exec. VP of the Climate Exchange.
Obama Appointment Scandal #36 -Chief of Staff Helped Ruin Economy! (& Tax Cheat Scandal # 7?) -3/26/9 Bankrupt Chicago Tribune: “Before its portfolio of bad loans helped trigger the current housing crisis, mortgage giant Freddie Mac was the focus of a major accounting scandal that led to a management shake-up, huge fines and scalding condemnation of passive directors by a top federal regulator. One of those allegedly asleep-at-the-switch board members was Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel —now chief of staff to (Obama) —who made at least $320,000 for a 14-month stint at Freddie Mac that required little effort. Emanuel now plays a critical role in addressing the nation’s mortgage woes.” UPDATE 2/8/9: National Review Online: “Another Possible Obama Tax Problem? The White House chief of staff [Rahm Emanuel] said this week that he did not pay rent during the five years he bunked at the Capitol Hill home of Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn). But that raises questions whether Emanuel reported the rent-free lodging to Congress, since DeLauro is married to pollster Stan Greenberg. And will either of the parties report what could be “imputed income” to the IRS? Reps for Emanuel and DeLauro argue that House Ethics rules allow “hospitality between colleagues.” Both Rahm Emanuel and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (which Emanuel was formely the chairman of) are listed as clients on the website of Stan Greenberg’s polling company.”
Obama Fakes Town Hall Meeting! – 3/28/9 IUSB Vision notes: “The online question portion of the White House town hall was open to any member of the public with an Internet connection, the five fully identified questioners called on “randomly” by the president in the East Room were anything but a diverse lot. They included: a member of the pro-Obama Service Employees International Union, a member of the Democratic National Committee who campaigned for Obama among Hispanics during the primary; a former Democratic candidate for Virginia state delegate who endorsed Obama last fall in an op-ed in the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star; and a Virginia businessman who was a donor to Obama’s campaign in 2008.” Quite the contrast with Obama’s words: “I think it’s important to engage your critics … because not only will you occasionally change their mind but, more importantly, sometimes they will change your mind,”

Obama’s Pakistan Lie – 3/29/9 During the campaign, Sen. Obama repeatedly said he would attack terrorists in Pakistan with or without permission from the Pakistani government. He reiterated this policy in a debate in October 2008. On CBS’ Face the Democrat Press Nation, he now utters this lie: “I haven’t changed my approach” but goes on to say he would only go into Pakistan “after consulting with Pakistan.” A huge flip flop that Obama 2012 staffer Bob Schieffer doesn’t even ask him about. Obama’s GM Lie #1 – 3/30/9 President Obama: “Let me be clear. The United States government has no interest in running GM. We have no intention of running GM.” While out of the other side of his mouth he fires the GM CEO and has his own team creating a new business plan for GM. Sounds like running the company to us!
Obama’s GM Lie #2 – 3/30/9 President Obama said firing the GM CEO was not a “condemnation” of Rick Wagoner. While out of the other side of his mouth he says, “we cannot continue to excuse poor decisions,” fires the CEO, and says GM needs a new vision and direction (not Wagoner’s) to create the GM (Rush Limbaugh calls it Government Motors) of the future.
Obama’s GM Warranty Promise – 3/30/9 He fires the GM CEO, then he granted his royal self the authority to honor all warranties issued by two private companies; General Motors and Chrysler! Who gave this Kingthe authority to decide that taxpayers (that’s you and I!) will suddenly be on the hook to pay for cars when they break down or have a recall? Obama today took the power of the congress to decide on this huge new expense. He did so without any legislative approval, again attacking the US Constitution.
Obama Tries to Intimidate a US Congressman! – 3/30/9 The Wall Street Journal: “Don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother.” That’s what President Barack Obama said to Rep. Peter DeFazio in a closed-door meeting of the House Democratic Caucus last week, according to the Associated Press. A few weeks ago, Mr. DeFazio voted against the administration’s stimulus bill. The comment from Mr. Obama was a presidential rebuke and part of a new, hard-nosed push by the White House to pressure Congress to adopt the president’s budget.”
